What I love about the F2P version, is it gives some of us on a budget something to play that isn't very limiting. Sure we can't lab with friends etc. We can couch game with friends and play ranked with the limited cast. This is huge for someone like myself who is a 35 year old dad who just wants to add some more spice to the gaming rotation without committing. When I have the disposable income and GBV goes on sale, you know I'll be supporting them. I never thought I'd be into an anime fighter, but here I am.
@hanifh6891 problem is game didn't have good online and on top of that no major offline tournaments could be held cause of the pandemic. Not many places to promote or for many to see the game in action sadly.
@@jordanthomas1654 Also the way they released the game was stupid. It came out in Japan and Asian (in English) like 6-7 weeks before the official North American Release. So people were importing it, then on day 1 of the NA release everyone online were already killers.
Max, just letting you know that you've inspired many of my friends and me to continue with the love and admiration of fighting games. Keep it up, dood!
For me he resparked my interest in the genre and helps me enjoy the lighter side of such a high stress hobby Also nice to see another adult face enjoying something as immature looking as granblue
I'mma be honest- i think i love this game? I hit level cap on two different characters in the free to play version- will likely buy it flat out soon, but it's amazing how much you get of this game for free. How are folks asking for a sale already- you can just go and play it! What a fun time.
for anyone having trouble with Belial counter, you can wait until he shrugs at the end of the power walk he does and get a full combo punish, you can even neutral jump before he shrugs to get a jump in combo. Just make sure you hit him after he shrugs or he's gonna counter. This eliminates the mix between counter and command grab too, because jumping can beat both options. Max is easily playing at an A1 rank level here, he could probably hit S+ without too much more knowledge even. The lower ranks are all over the place because of how you get placed when you start. I feel like a lot of people choose the "I can take on anyone" option and get placed in B, then lose a bunch, whereas you get more experienced fighting game players like Max who are choosing lower options and are starting at lower ranks.
Always makes me glad when you mention lost planet on stream. That's a game that was wayyyy ahead of its time, blew my mind when I learned it was from 2006. It's one of the games I pray gets a reboot / remake one day >.>

Especially annoying because the said with the first granblue they gonna port it to switch. The game was popular in japan. And yet still we are here without a port. I would gladly pay twice to have this on my switch.
in this video he says its not for sale on PC but it is. Steam has the F2P, Normal Game, and Deluxe Edition. Honestly if you have the money and like the game get the Deluxe. F2P has 4 total characters to play with 3 rotating and Gran always Available.
I name it Manigance For the browser, sacrificed half HP to gain more power, with a chance to lessen damage taken For this game, uses less Health instead. Same effect.
I think only Arc System Works games that have characters speak English and Japanese during matches. Also I'm sorry for saying this but I do not count Tekken as other example because that game has the character speaks more than just English and Japanese language.
I recently switched to arcade stick and was having trouble confirming into super I I just switched to simple input supers because they do the same damage as manual inputs (I double checked in training mode for that fact)

@@nyrva2876 this one set against a could be extremely frustrating for some people I've heard about some people that have dropped a game or fighting games in general because of one set The starter rank question is there for a reason

The highest starting rank is B. God forbid anyone inherently better than that do their first few ranked games.
