I'm a healer main on everything. Medic's philosophy resonates a lot more with me than Mercy's. I'm no healslut, I'm the mastermind behind the fight playing chess with my teammates and only the usefull will be kept alive. Sacrifincing pawns for an advantage or my security is of no consequences. To be fair tho, overwatch is several decades in the future while tf2 is several decades in the past so medic is more medically advanced since he's got a healing gun only a bit bigger than her staff and was still able to raise the dead with limited resources. Being provided with all the recourses Mercy had and the genius to succeed far beyond any medical treatment in his current year he'd be a much better healer. Sometimes a team even says that it's all their Medics fault. It's also the only game where calling the healer is 1 button but when I play medic people don't really abuse it, yet in paladins where the "need healing" voiceline is mapped behind a maze of inputs, I've still been spammed in ranked.

To be fair tho, overwatch is several decades in the future while tf2 is several decades in the past so medic is more medically advanced since he's got a healing gun only a bit bigger than her staff and was still able to raise the dead with limited resources. Being provided with all the recourses Mercy had and the genius to succeed far beyond any medical treatment in his current year he'd be a much better healer. Sorry if some things didnt make sense or spelled things wrong it's like 5 am

@@mithicalmithrax8933 yet it feels better if the actual person uses the voice command thanks. Forit gives the Medic player a feeling of being Appreciation something that some players do not do. Heck some even get mad at the Medic for not constantly healing them even when its not necessary. Oh and don't forget the players that for some reason believe dying on the other side of the map gives them the right to blame it on the Medic. Sometimes a team even says that it's all their Medics fault. Sometimes they are just criticising the Medics performance ( which is not necessariely bad since it can be pretty helpful sometimes ), and don't forget the people that say that playing Medic is the easiest thing on the planet (yes those people exist). Count those things in with a team that isn't really good at playing the game vs that team you wish you would be on syndrome and yeah... you would give everything for the least bit of appreaciasion. And yes I'm fully aware that some of the things do not have anything to do with the topic of this comment and that I probably overdramatised it but I don't care.
