Great short- hardest explanation I have to 11u is this. It’s common that they are trying to determine ball/strike then start the load/launch sequence which is way too late. Scap separation is another that some get and most don’t.. getting the bell of bat to the catcher is tossed out when the start of load/ launch is so late
Its exactly was i was looking for. When to load, and when to stride and swing. Beginning of the year I've been having trouble figuring out what I was doing wrong hopefully this will help me think what I have to do at the plate! Thxs RO 👍
Like the vid, but not sure I’m all in on waiting until your front heel hits the ground before you launch your swing. Not sure you can keep your rear hip once there is weight in the front foot. IMHO.
Good stuff. I generally tell my (high school) players to get the knob towards the catcher in the load. They can at least stop and look at their hands and knob position as opposed to saying "get the barrel over your head" as that is harder to see. That seems to work better for me.
Hey CoachRac, what is the footing you use after you field a ground ball or fly. I don’t know how to get from my chest facing forward to throwing to a base in the fastest way?
Going into a championship game after an awful weekend. I think Im focusing to much on mechanics and I just need to dumb it down… Ill let yall know how I did 😅
When people swing from the right-side does that mean you're left handed or is that just a good spot to hit from. Because I'm right handed and I hit from the left side.
My son went from .136 to .415 using hitterman. I played and use to bat like the guy in this video. It took my son a week and a half to go from weak line drives and shallow pop ups to absolutely crushing the ball. Just saying. It can’t be too bad.
As a former pro player & hitting coach, I’d like to throw my 2 cents in - your content is very good, you explain it well, maybe just too much Info at once. I realize time constraints, just make another video. Otherwise, some of the best young content out there….best of luck,
My dad would always say like your punching someone in the gut or putting a pizza in the oven staying connected pointing your belt buckle right back at the pitcher
Because, if you want to swing the bat harder, and hit the ball further, you're gonna end up pulling your bat back to load up your swing. Hitters keep the bat over their ear so that they don't have to move it back again when they're winding up.
Number 2 doesn't work for me. My dad pitches to me in the games (He is the helping coach who pitches to each team) and he is 60, so he does not throw 40mph fastballs in Little League... Everything else helped me a lot! Edit: I did these steps and hit 4 line drives down right field and one down left field!
I think you played on the nationals with my old hitting coach, his name is Landon Dietrich. He taught me to swing pretty much exactly like that.
He actually did play with the Nats!
Is Landon related to Derek Dietrich?

Dude, that was so much info in a short vid. You clearly demonstrate and talk through your mechanics. I and my youth boys really appreciate it.
Excellent!...clear cut, informative and well explained!!..would like to see a bat path video.
I don’t even play baseball but still love watching these
That’s when you know the teacher/ coach is in their element
Thank you your videos really help me

This is gonna really help for my tryouts thanks!
thanks coach rac i needed this my timing has been so off and i just went 3-4
Thank you so much I’ve been struggling on hitting

Thank you this really helped! I was just using it on my tee and I’m gonna use this in my game tomorrow!!
How’d you do??! 😃👍
@BruceWayne-oq2tq It got canceled😂 Thanks for asking though!

Thank you this helped a lot

Well said 👏🏽

Thanks coach! Been getting into baseball recently and this helped me out a lot.
Love the videos man
Can you do another video on more of the last step. “Not rolling over” Ty
It's on his channel. Check out his videos.
ty so much i have been timing up when the ball passes the plate but now i know to time up each individual move
Do you keep the weight from the load back or not
Thanks

I needed to help out my swing and timing this helped a little I’ll put it in my game later today
Bro thanks I was rolling over every time.
You should check out teacherman he is a professional batting coach and he will show you how to swing right
Thanks that help so much now I bat 425
This taught me more than a coach did...

que lindos brazos de ese hombre

Thank u
When you buckled your knee, that hurt me😂
Does the leg kick even effect your swing and if it does how
It creates a rubber band effect as your arms are being loaded back and your leg comes forward
Have any tips to help me not take a long stride?
That’s not what the famous pro dude says. 🤷🏻♂️
And?
It's basically the same all that guys saying is for you bat to move backwards while your body moves forward
Absolutely perfect. All you teacherman flip flop and stumble people need to watch this and learn. Great job coach.

It should be at least 75% on your back leg
I will do that in my game

NOT EVEN GOING TO CAP I AM IN A SLIMP AND THIS REMINDER GOT ME OUT OF IT
My dad likes your videos
Can you show that swing with a camera behind you. Thanks
Pounce inch back on both with swing, hitting with tip top not sides.
My biggest problem is that I roll over, so I hit a lot of hard ground balls.
Never seen Larry Walker.
My dad would always say like your punching someone in the gut or putting a pizza in the oven staying connected pointing your belt buckle right back at the pitcher
Question: why have the barrel over the front ear? That puts the bat farther away from the contact zone. What benefit does that have?
Because, if you want to swing the bat harder, and hit the ball further, you're gonna end up pulling your bat back to load up your swing. Hitters keep the bat over their ear so that they don't have to move it back again when they're winding up.

How can I get lessons irl
Pov You've been 0 for 8 in your last couple of games 😅
Who is that guy?! My sister wants to say hi to him.
99 hitters out of 100 do not want their lead elbow covering their eyes at contact
That last good swung you did in the end is not how u swung in the begining tho
This came up and earlier today I learned this what a coincidence
😢
Thanks i was boutta rob someone but i aint know how to use a bat
How can I explain this to 7 year olds
do you think you could recommend a god softball coach kinda like yourself?
Thanks for not wearing shorts. Swim trunks and baseball practice do not help players.
