That’s beautiful 😍 I started a blanket in January to learn how to knit and it’s still not done lol. It takes sooo long so in the meantime I’ve learned how to crochet and finished many other projects 😂
It's called "basket weave". If you find a error, drop the stitch and run it down to the mistake, then using a crochet hook chain it back up from the knit side. When the weave pattern changes, flip it over and chain up from the other side. 🧶
You're so inspiring! I'be been waiting till I retire to have more time for knitting. But your drive to create, risks and all, motivates me to make time for what I enjoy most. Your channel is 🔥
I just learned how to knit. I already knitted a scarf and I'm know making a blanket. It's so time consuming and I didn't know what I was getting my self into 😂
Don't worry too much about mistakes in the work. There's an old Irish belief that you put a little piece of your soul into everything you make, so embrace those mistakes ever more, because they help your soul escape!
My guess at the pattern without a paywall: CO 12n + 6 its (n being however many “blocks” wide you want the blanket to be) row 1 (RS, but it doesn’t really matter): k1 until end of row row 2-3 repeat row 1 row 4 (WS): k3. *k12 (garter stitch block). **k1p1 (1x1 rib block), rp from ** 6 times (12 sets of rib total). Rp from * until 3 sts remain. k3 row 5: k3. If you ended the last row on a garter block, begin with a garter block (k12). If you ended the last row on a rib block, p1k1 for 12 sets. Rp pattern, alternating between garter and rib until 3 sts remain, k3. row 6-11: rp rows 4-5. rows 12-19: make the checkerboard; k3, if row 11 ends in a garter block, begin with a rib block, and vice versa, until last 3 sts. K3. repeat rows 4-19 until desired length. final 3 rows: k1 until end of row. BO. super chunky yarn, size 19 needles but gauge poly doesn’t matter. Bernat blanket yarn or cascade pacific bulky are good cost effective + machine washable and dryable options
This is so late but ive just finished crocheting a sweater as a beginner and id love to also start learning how to knit. Obviously wouldnt tackle this right away, but how advanced is this pattern? Its absolutely gorgeous and i 100% want a blanket like that

The pattern looks so intricate and time consuming! Amazing job!
I knit a cardigan last year with that same pattern and, not to toot my own horn, it's the most beautiful thing I own 😆
Girl toot your horn cause knitting is hard in itself and that pattern is beautiful 😆
Could you please do a tutorial on this blanket❤️
Just gorgeous 🤌🏽❤

i made this as in the same design and colour as a tote bag and then it got so heavy. i gave up and decluttered it. made me a lil sad.
Sad that woolen & loose spun wool gets pilley so fast 😓 it looks so great and I bet it's soooo cozy!
Is this a free pattern? 🥺
