You know, if you don't drive like an ass, the Hellcat's fuel economy isn't that terrible. Many owners have documented 25+ MPG (9.4L/100km). Maybe that's not great compared to a typical car, but this is a big, heavy coupe, and it a has 727HP dump truck engine. That's really amazing.

nisvara, not really. He’s just a bloke who knows the limits of his equipment. He knows that this reincarnation of the venerable Chrysler hemi engine is not the 392 cubic inch hemi of old. This one was not designed to keep running at high rpm’s without wiping out cam lobes and lifters. This is a sad but true fact that Chrysler is trying to ignore. Now me personally, Iwouldnt have run mine this hard as many times as he did. Why lunch a good engine for the pleasure of some viewers that are getting off their jollies vicariously by watching someone else doing their thing.

Unfortunately he kept letting off at like 165mph. These cars dont struggle until you hit 180-185. From there it's a slow crawl to 200.

@3:25 you pass a semi and brake pretty damn hard. As you can see the trucker flashes his lights at you, thinking you are brake checking him. Might want to choose better moments and places to do that. @4:35 you're doing it again. Just want to point out that anyone behind you could make a shock manouvre because of you stomping the brakes very hard on the autobahn.

Isaak Welch, well I’ll tell you son, I just gave my 1999 Mercedes ML320 to a family in Georgia that had fallen on hard times. I’ve owned it for 20 years and logged 317,000+ miles on it with NO major issues. Minor ones were truly minor. Tires last nearly forever. The current set have 111,000 lies on them with over 50% of the tread left. I got 19 mpg in the city and 24.5 on the interstate running an average of 80 mph with the cruise set and the A/C on. I never abused it and it never stranded me. I’d say that’s pretty darn reliable. I’ve had 7 bimmers over the past 25 years as well. My personal favorite was a 96 318i 5-speed. Drove it 189,000 miles and averaged 35 mpg. I’ve owned many super cars in my day and beat the shit out of them. They broke a lot. I’m in the process of restoring to stock an 02 Audi A4, 3.0 Quattro that a young fella and his brother tried modifying. They never owned a German vehicle before and an Audi was not a good first choice. I’ve had more reliable European vehicles than US ones. I have an 05 Volvo S80 Premier for my wife. It has the real T6 twin cam twin turbo in-line 2.9 liter 6 and is an ass hauling Grand Tourer. So I guess that either I’m the luckiest European auto driver in the world or you just never had a good vehicle. Oh and by the way ALL of my vehicles have bumped their speed governors on numerous times.
@@arttafil6792 I've never personally owned a merc but every euro car I've owned or worked on for a friend has had rust issues, electrical issues, and engine reliability issues. Maybe your old diesel is an exception to the rule, I don't know. I can only speak from experience.
Isaak Welch, it wasn’t a diesel, it’s the single overhead cam gasoline V6 3.2 liter. I called it the Energizer Bunny.

Cyberbird not concerned about other cars. The car he drove in this video has a top speed of 194 mph or 312 KPH. So why stop at 250 or 270?

People need to understand that high top speed runs isn't the Challenger's strong point. They are more suited for 1/4 mile runs since the aero on these things make them fall on their face after 150mph or so. That being said, a stock Challenger Demon on UA-cam did do 211mph (340 km/h)

Hellcats sail up to 180-185 without any problem or delay. After 180 it's a slow crawl to get closer to 200. But no hellcat struggles to get past 150 my guy lol. Chellenger or charger, neither struggle at 150
a bone stock hellcat challenger in good tune will top out at about 197 mph while a hellcat charger will top out about 202 mph .
