I joined a gamejam with 0 knowledge. I learned more than I ever have in the past 2 years about coding just by doing something while i was learning, you don't necessarily have to get a game out by the end of the game jam, but you probably will anyway.
if you're talking about language most programmars recommend starting with javascript but i would learn python first and work on small projects. if you're talking abt an engine to use your code i would recommend unity
Defs: Indie Games: discord.gg/nF8CpysW One Game A Month - it's a game jam, but peeps hang out in there and are pretty cool: discord.gg/GrYvz7Zq Game Dev Bois: discord.gg/PKBkM2wU And then I hang out in the general ones like Unity: discord.gg/fyrxVZuW Apparently I can't generate an invite for the godot server, but they also have one that's pretty lively.
Awesome video! these tips are super helpful for those who want to start game development. Cant wait for the next video!
You have a game that looks this good and is very impressive. Can't wait for the release of 'They Come In Waves' to play it!
