Huh, I thought Wade's go to move was taking over a game

Even tho Wade is skilled. He plays mostly off instincts
Everyone does
Rafael Rafi what i mean is wades moves unlike most players arent predetermined
+Shon Homezzz which is what i've always loved about him. He's able to create and generate instant offense even when a play isn't called or the defense adjusts to what he planned on doing in the first place. A very underrated aspect of his game imo.
+Shon Homezzz Yup. that separates him from other skilled players, his instincts. He knows how to play the ball. Doesn't panic in crucial times and can adapt to any circumstances. He plays ball with LeBron, he backs LBJ up. He plays by himself, he goes on full force. His IQ as a player makes him a legend.
wade since 2009 is the smarter version of westbrook.....wade doesnt throw himself at people anymore ...
He probably has the most moves out of any active player. Legend.
Naw.... even at the time you made this response it was james harden, kyrie and steph
you don’t know what you say
@@sidwilson9673 James harden did not have many go to moves, what are you talking about?
@@marquezbishop2747 u smoking bro btl spam, step back, gather step
@@sidwilson9673 James harden? Stopp
Being a Heat fan and watching Dwade since his rookie year every night, I can't believe you DID NOT add his left side bank shot & the fake jumper to get the defenders up in the air (probably the most unstoppable fake shot in the nba). Thats why I've always said that I'd rather have the ball in DWade's hand over Lebron any night! But all & all I enjoyes the vid thanks
"Almost like somebody flashing into the middle of the zone" punchlines for days.

Everyone should study his game
do people realize most nba greats are taller than wade...thats why they make shots...wades game at 6'3 is basically im gonna give you everything i have and somehow get 25 5 and 5 a night without shooting a 3...his fundamentals and work ethic are underrated...dudes so little but hes got so much heart....i know its not even an argument... wades the best 6'3 and under player ever...his mid range and post game are as lethal as mj...people dont watch him enough...they should hes a legend...who doesnt shoot 3's ..yet can avg 30 and kill cats one on one easy....his only problem is with double teams
Asmosis Jones he's 6ft5
No
Asmosis Jones he's 6'4 220
his problem is double teams? you mean the one he routinely splits?
Without watching the video: The Freeze Fake (Wade pump fake), the Euro, the between-the-legs step back, the half-spin feint then drive. How many did I get right?
None jk
3
Dylan Kalonji Sweet. Close enough. I would've gotten the half-spin fade as well, but I forgot that variation.
+Kawaii Leonard hmmmm, would it be from wade's "the art of..." series? lolll
+Kawaii Leonard Get yo ass of UA-cam Kawhi! You got work to do for next season.
dwade be my man crush. noticed him in his first championship playoff run. I literally use every move he does. combine speed, the ability to sell the fake. and the touch to finish. it's been lethal for me for over then years. that was back when I was 18
please keep these "go to moves" videos coming.
Surprised you didn't show the step over poster on Varejao
haha didn't quite fit the modern floater version you see most.of the time but that was tough!!
+Coconut Oil Papi world went nuts when that happen, kinda like what blake did to perk,
+vonversace Except Dwyane's was easily many times more impressive seeing as how he's right around 6'4" and he did it on a seven footer as opposed to a 6'10 man doing it to someone shorter than he was. I for one always thought that Blake's put back slam over Pau Gasol was way more impressive.
The eurostep on Kevin Garnett in 2011 playoffs where he completely humiliated him.
t RJ that aint one of his go to moves bruh
heat nation!!!
+piotrekzproductions hope you guys get to the ECF! the world needs a lebron/wade playoff matchup before they're too washed.
go cavs tho :P
One of the most packed and effective toolboxes of any player in NBA history
Where's the pump fake?
That step up move you were talking about is called the Windmill crossover. Wade named it himself, I think he said his dad taught him that move playing one on one when he was growing up.
I hope this becomes an ongoing series.
it is. that was installment 4 I believe
Stephen Curry go to move: Illegal screen three-pointer.
lmao
+Mark Edward Fischbach
Idiot hes also one of the tops in finishing in layup
+Kwok Chun calm down, its a joke. Although, it's kinda true...
+Kwok Chun illegal screen layup then?
+Wesley Walker I won't deny it though...
the way wade dribbles out of double teams and splits the defense should also be added! especially his behind the back dribbles to split the D, one of my favorite moves of his!
One of the best! D Wade!
if he hadn't had injuries, we'd be calling him GOAT. Definitely.
Michael Brocaglia facts ✊🐐
He already is
W
My most favorite is his so BIG BIG BIG, HUGE HUGE HUGE, FASTEST euro step that anybody can't stop!
In case you didn't know yet. Dwyane Wade is currently the best performer this playoffs.
He's been doing amazing things this playoffs, I guarantee no one expected this because he's aging, his body is deteriorating, and we didn't see this from the regular season. But then suddenly *boom* he's going all out. Miami Heat has a legitimate chance at winning it all.
+Mark Edward Fischbach he needs help though, if JJ and dragic play like anything they're capable of then yes they can win, but they need a big man too, a problem the heat always have is lacking a great center after shaq.
Jovelio Caccam Heat already have that in Whiteside, unfortunately he is injured. Same goes with Bosh. The big man that Heat only have left is Amare Stoudemire and Josh Mcroberts. Hopefully they'll step up their game. I want, or perhpas Everybody wants Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers at the ECF. And we know how we all like the Cavaliers to get eliminated. Everyone is tired of LeBron going to the finals.
first of all the spurs are out, so no kawhi guarding dwade if ever, i hope okc comes out of the west and if by some miracle lebron doesnt play well againts the heat and lose heat vs okc again, and if dwade goes all out they can win.
I'm constantly rewinding his moves... Thank you so much for posting this!
That overhead crossover is an unstoppable move
Favorite is his euro step dunk
Father Prime still got it, my favorite player👌
Thing i notice most about Dwyane's style is how everything melts together. Some guys dribble the ball standing up too much and it throws off their gather for a shot. Some dudes have their head down driving with the same effect which messes up that gather and locks them into having to drive. The way he stays low and controls the ball he is always ready to move into a shot or a threat to drive.
Not going to lie, I picked up a lot of my game after Wade. ESPECIALLY that right hand push floater. Years later I'm just now remembering that I worked hard to make it automatic for myself
I already have all these moves in my arsenal. That's how you know you've been watching dwade for a long time
This series is a really good idea
Nice.😎
keep it coming! summertime basketball here I come.
The slow mo clip of the shoulder fake fadeaway didn't demonstrate much. Danny Green defended that perfectly...some guys are just shot makers.
well duh wades one of the best scorers ever lol...look at his playoff stats and finals stats
Love the insight, great job man. I do dwade's step back jab all the time
Awesome video man. Keep these up! These go to moves videos are really helpful
request : Vince Carter's goto moves please !!!! (I have seen plenty of his dunk mixes. but never seen goto move (signature move) analysis or offense highlights) I wish you could make one for Vince(especially offense moves in Toronto times. Vince's mix is always focused on finishers(dunks or long range 3s). but I would like to see the procedure (triple threat, penetration, cross over, post up, foot up, coast to coast, splitting double team defenses etc). Hope you could make one someday !!! Thank you always
Please do a breakdown of Kemba Walkers go-to moves. I believe he has a very underated knack for finding angles and freezing up defenders.
Rad video. He's a great NBA scorer. And he's also very clutch. These young players need to learn there basic "go to " scoring moves.
Wade #1 That Stepback today was sick though.
Dwade so dope
gotta be your best video ever
my favourite player of all time, extremely cerebral and an absolute competitor.
Thanks for sharing these moves.
Great series. Love from the UK👍🏾
Love these go to moves!
I counted three steps with most of Wade's step over moves. I like the breakdown of the other moves though. Cutting has become an effective go-to move? What I saw was lack of attention on defense. Do NBA players play off the ball defense? Westbrook, Harden, Rondo? Good golly Miss Molly!
You're kinda technically allowed three steps in the NBA. You get one load step off the dribble and two for the following shot, which more or less translates into three steps.
YES
Splitting between defenders and picks? Pump fakes? Reverse-between-the-legs pull-up?
The pump fake is one of his go to's as well.
Didn't Coach Nick say that moves like the 'step over' should stop being taught due to too many elbow-to-face related injuries? It seems a bit dangerous to me. I would not like to defend that move for the risk of injury.
thanks, Coach!

Step over move? thats Windmill crossover man! now ya know.
Very good breakdown! Nice video!
kyrie is phenomenal with that step-over move. no one is slicker sliding through D to the rim than him.
I bet u weren't born in 2009 yet
hernzz_TM oh. ? productive reply. you wanna try to make a point, now?
+papapapenis I guess you haven't seen Prime Wade.
Mark Edward Fischbach ok.
This is great!!!! Keep it going!!!
more go to moves please and thank you
Dwades game was straight street ball moves
so many travels
Best slasher OAT
euro step means stepping in then out and going up on the "wrong" foot. if you're on the right, it means stepping in with he left then back out and going up off your right foot. not every 2 step is a euro step...
+papapapenis It doesn't have to be necessarily on the wrong foot. The very definition of euro step is if you see the two steps as a "zigzag" drive trying to evade the front defender. Doesn't matter which foot you layup-ed with.
Arian Sustento well i guess the definition has adapted over time. makes sense. euro step used to mean specifically inside foot in, shoot off outside foot out. guess since everyone started referring to any kind of in-out 2 step as euro step it's just practical to make the term applicable on a broader front
papapapenis On a conventional note, I agreed.
There’s some moves in Dwayne Wade’s repertoire that Donovan Mitchell could’ve develop…🤔. Because as it stands right now, Donovan has got a nice floater, right handed mini hook, and an excellent jump shot but if he could develop a baseline game or a jab step move that doesn’t usually have him creating 2-3 feet worth of space for a three pointer and instead take a 8-10 jump shot it could be beneficial to his game.
I love D-Wade
lets have some fun guys, who are the players u stole/learned the most moves from?
For me - def dwade (euro, windmill/stepover move, pumpfake), iverson (crossover moves), kobe (footwork/step thru moves), ray allen (getting to my shooting spot)
probably rondo too (ball fakes and passing)
+tbuckets Maybe the biggest influences on my game have been Duncan and Shaq with the post game. My dribbling is not great at all, but I like Jamal Crawford when he dribbles he is the guy. The biggest inspiration for mid-range jump shots has definitely been Durant with the foot inside when he jumps and the shooting form.
Come on Coach Nick whats the point of using your app if I still have to come to UA-cam because I miss videos like this!
in fiba basketball the step through is also called traveling :D
I think Klay Thompson would be very interesting to do because most people think he's only a shooter & right now he's leading the playoffs in scoring
+Tonio5100 He is ranked as 3rd, behind KD and Paul George.
agreed. he's got some interesting ones. a lot of his "moves" involve off ball movement which isn't as flashy but really hard to grd
he's great moving without the ball and floor spacing but make no mistake about it, he's still JUST a jump shooter; even JJ Redick can come off a screen, pump fake and get a layup but Klay's game is jumpshooting...
You have a point Rob, but you gotta admit Klay is a great jumpshooter. And the Dubs paid him 15 million a year to do just that.
Klay is a SCORER someone like Kyle Korver or J. J. Reddick is a jumpshooter its a huge difference between the 2 types..... If u take away Korver shooting he won't score u can't say that with Klay & its HARD to take away Klay shooting cause he has many ways to get his shots
always watch these vids, i play basketball in england and i dominate all teams. Hopefully ill be there in a few years im only 16
Good luck
Dwade was so athletic that he would do a spin move and then posterize the big man trying to stuff him. Amazing
Y'all missed his best move. His fake drive to the basket right foot jab step dribble through the leg with his right hand and then pull up jumper.
keep doing these vids
Gotta be his WOW shoes
Wade the real MVP
@BBALLBREAKDOWN @Barb Basketballl hey nice video I'm guessing this a new series and your probably getting a ton request, but can you make one for paul pierce would really love to see his signature moves broken down. His repertoire has always been fascinating to me the way he scored throughout his career.
@ 2.26 coach Turner shows the step over move which the exact move you said coaches should stop teaching & showing on your game 2 analysis of the heat vs raptors, when DeRozan hit Dragic face with his elbow. Maybe you should have reviewed the vid from coach Turner before publishing... Not that I am bothered, personally I don't think this move is a pb.
Don't think Coach Nick or I said any of Dwades moves should or shouldn't be taught... just a breakdown of what he uses
+Bard Basketball coach nick opens up the video with "add to your asenal and work on your game"
could you do a vid on how to play more aggressive
what exactly do you mean by this?
Great fundamentals.
Maaan... don't be telling everyone they can cut on the drive. It works when you have a player drawing a double team (because if your man follows you, a wide open kick out 3 opens up) but if you are cutting while some dude is trying to iso, you are just BRINGING a double-team.
The whole reason D-Wade is cutting on these plays is because the play was that Lebron was cutting into the switch creating a double team and the whole reason D-Wade ends up alone under the bucket is because the lane was so over-crowded that his man couldn't stop the pass.
Great vid
This series would be better with on court demonstrations. Also I thought you were trying to ban that step over move. That's the one derozan elbowed dragic on...
+Tristin2k The thing is, i dont remember the last time DWade elbowed someone with this move.
+lolz very true..I just don't think coach should be saying let's ban this move in one video, then promoting it as a go to in the next vid, let's stay consistent.
Why don't more people use the last cutting move they showed? I don't really get it
Love it!
nice vid... Raptors in 6ix FAM.. city lit eh
L
damn..take the L
I'm not gonna sit here and blame the refs cause they were horrible for both teams.. The Heat played the more desperate and aggressive team. I tip my hat to The Dragon and Dwade. See ya on Sunday #wethenorth
+sam aka sam stone W
+Revealed Truth Naw...he took the W
any chance making a video about go to moves of kobe
hope miami gets to play the cavs
📝
This is a great move! :)
#fatherprime #wayofwade
the stepover move is like my signature move except I call It the reverse euro
Do any of these moves actually get him open? It looks like he is always taking incredibly difficult, contested, off balance shots after them. I'd be curious to see the PPP for each of these moves.
im gonna try and use that last move
I try to do that Eurostep floater man, and guess what, i ended up with a broken ankle. RIP that move😂😂😂
#DWade4ever
but when I cut during my teammates drive, don't I also bring an extra defender into the paint and mess up spacing etc? why is d-wade so good at it whereas in last years series between GSW and MEM as the breakdowns show, tony allen made it such that his defender could guard 2 men at once?
you want to cut when you see the back of their head. wait to see that defense has already committed to helping and sneak behind them
also make sure to time your cuts and try to stay within the sight of the ball handler or else he won't see you..
+jamesiu1234567 It's coz Wade does it mostly when his defender is ball-watching, so once Wade cuts behind his defender, he's left in no-man's land :) If he's close up on you, you can fake and jab 1 direction and sprint to the other to create space to receive the pass
go to move for mvp drose
A possible collaboration with @shotmechanics or @shotscience ?
dope
Go To Moves: Goran Dragić
I use the eurostep floater and didn't even know I did...
i practice this everyday
i suspect we could pull off the crossover stepback jumper in 2k
this video is very very good
I'm looking forward to chris paul's one...
please...
