    I enjoyed and learned so much from this video. For 30 years I was told that I have a Kidney "dis-ease" and was told I wouldn't live beyond 25, I was 19 at the time! I'm now 50 y/o. Because of that diagnose I decided to start eating healthy (at least I think so). I'd eat red meet maybe 3X per years but adore chicken, fish and shrimp. A few months ago I started to experiencing digestive issues where it would take 2-3 hours to digest my food and it only happened when I ate meat protein. It had gotten so bad where I had to force myself to vomit🤮 but since I started to incorporate more fruits, vegetables ground provision and NO meat protein I haven't had that feeling anymore. I'm not fully plant based but I'm getting there in a short while buy continuing to watch contents like this. Thank you so much 💖💐

    Ive been on a mostly raw vegan diet since 1985...theres no comparison when i quit eating all cooked food i always felt sooo much better. Now after 39 years of trying raw vegan and high raw vwgan i no longer will even enjoy any cooked foods. My body made this decision. Im healthier now at 55 than i was the entire first 35 years of my life due to zero cooked food.

    I love that she mentioned continuing to use your favorite/cultural herbs and spices. I do that too! One of my favorite dishes ive made is spicy lemon grass mushrooms. Inspired by the vietnamese dish i used to eat with lemon grass chicken or pork. Fresh letuce and rice noodles optional, I've also tried it with kelp noodles. its actually super easy to make healthy vegan flavorful versions of my ethnic dishes if youre already used to using those herbs and spices. Not cooking meat has also cut down on meal prep time in general too.

    My Hub had a very unstable temperament but going gluten free mad a huge difference. So much happier & more tolerant. Getting ‘glutened’ would trigger off the extreme irritability, anger, depression, awful brain fog, & pain. For me, dumping gluten reversed years of IBS, neuropathy, raging restless legs, acid reflux, hiatus hernia, high BP, & rampant Candida & Fungal issues. Food can hurt, & food can heal.

    LOL! I'm terrible about buying the books but not making the food. It's like people who buy the gym membership and never go. And I love Samantha's comment about the dehydrator. When I first discovered the raw vegan plan, I used it a lot. But eventually, like she says, when you're hungry, you don't' want to think about waiting 18 hrs for something to dehydrate.

    I really enjoyed the discussion about the raw vegan diet. I have learned a lot concerning how the mind and digestive system works. I am not a vegan, but I always add extra fruit and vegetables to my diet. I will get a raw vegan diet recipe book. This decision should be introduced to our kids in grade school. It's time to explain why we should not eat certain foods . Just telling them not to , is not working. Dr. Salmon got my attention, when she said Acid Reflex. ♥

    Hi, im on my way to becoming vegan and from what i hear from you 2. I will end up raw vegan. When I think about dead animals on my plate I almost become nauseated. It doesn't happen when I think about eating plants. I love jow healing people's testimonials are. I'm 66 years old, 5 feet, and I am almost 300 lbs. Most of wnat I eat now is veggies. I'm changing slowly. Still now I eat more veggies and fruit and oli e oil. I want all of my enzymes. I now drink almond milk and beans.

    I’ve tried the high raw vegan thing myself many times. Gotta be careful with that one as it’s a very slippery slope. That percentage of cooked food can often move up quite quickly as it’s incredibly addictive. And sorry to tell you, but beans and pasta are just not meant for humans. The first clue should be that we have to cook them in order to digest them. Anyway, good luck to both of you.

    The young lady needs to learn the difference between mammalian enzymes and plant enzymes. They are not interchangeable but are specific to the organism with plant enzymes existing to do specific tasks for plant processes. They are not there to help plants digest themselves once inside an animal. Mammalian enzymes are specifically designed for our purposes...but taking in plant enzymes does nothing for our physiological enzymes. Also we do not lose enzymes as we age. This plant enzyme theory was promulgated years ago by a man named Howell. It has been disproved by science. Yet it is still being posited as a reason for the success of a raw food diet by many raw foodists. I think there is really something beneficial about raw foods...but perpetuating a nonscientific..anti- physiological..made up reason is bogus and does not do any favors for promoting raw foods. The young lady is inspiring...but she does not understand human physiology well enough to state reasons for why the diet works so well.

      Thus why I take online health advice with a grain of salt.

    • @betzib8021
      @betzib8021 Рік тому +1

      @@deva190 well...true...and wise of you....but many people do become healthier on raw foods. Montgomery Heart and Wellness is a reliable source of info where the diet is being used in a medical, clinical setting and detailed records are kept. But even Dr Montgomery doesn't go into reasons WHY it works for his patients. Nutrition studies are in their infancy and what we don't know is huge..but raw foodists have been pushing this enzyme theory for years ..even after Howell was completely debunked ...and I'm sure this delightful young lady heard it from someone she respects and that she believes it. I don't think many nonscientific people...raw vegan to carnivore....know what enzymes are...where they are found...or how they behave.

      I’ve personally experienced the wonderful easy digestion from a raw vegan diet. When off the diet, I used a bromelain supplement which is an enzyme from pineapple that aids in digestion. I noticed it works wonders. If bromelain is an enzyme only meant for plant processes, then why is it helping people with better digestion?

    • @leilaninelson-riley1212
      @leilaninelson-riley1212 8 місяців тому +7

      Well plant enzymes do work on humans as well! Papaya has papain, pineapples have bromelian, and then we have ginger and ginseng. I find it sad that some scientists are so anti-plant and anti-natural. We have all evolved together to live in a symbiotic relationship. Plants have incredible healing benefits for life
