Alright everyone! its finally here! alot of you have been asking for this story for a long time and ive wanted to do it for so long. but, ive only recently been able to get permission from the author. Im excited to see what you all think of my narratioin of this classic story! Had to trim out the thoughts section after it went live, because i realized i accidently put the thoughts section from the last video in. ill talk about my thoughts on this one in the next video!
I was expecting a super natural kind of horror, but when they entered the "stable", my heart sank. This story truly was an enthralling ride, I don't think I've heard such a well written horror story. The voice acting was on point and immaculate. Thank you for the experience, it was truly horrifying.
At first you think it’s supernatural, but then you’re made to think it’s almost certainly going to be some kind of drug trafficking deal (like meth or cocaine). The reality makes drug dealing look like Kindergarten playtime by comparison.
I have never had anything related to story telling or horror that has ever made me physically pause in shock and horror. Whoever wrote this story did something I never thought would happen and you narrators absolutely killed it. Everyone involved did amazing!
The ending of Borrasca was genuinely unexpected when I read it for the first time, and really engaged me. Everyone in the voice-over team did a great job and made me feel like I was actually watching a movie when I had my eyes closed. Thanks for the long awaited surreal experience and I can't wait to hear more from you
This was the most disturbing story I've ever listened to on this channel...and I've listened to them all. The sheer levels of torment and dread in this story are unparalleled, especially due to how realistic they are, and how there are, in fact, actual victims of this same kind of thing in real life. It also doesn't help that I live in Missouri and have been to the Ozarks multiple times...so it really hit home for me, quite literally.
@@Paul-Rowan Yeah...the way all the little elements tied together at the end was horrifying. I actually got so stressed as the video neared the end, and then by the reveal itself...ughhh! I am in the same boat.
it gets worse. look at the name of the baby whitney had, and remember the naming scheme of the babies. that's the final horror, especially when it combines with everything we saw about her at the beginning. the final unsaid implication is the darkest truth borrasca holds.
@@Acetyl53 I won't discount the possibility that I could be wrong...but I don't think this was the intent of the story. There were a lot of subtleties in it beyond "oh look, the big bad guys are in charge and there's nothing you can do about it." I don't think the author was intending to demoralize people who fight against these atrocities - more like intending to put fire in their bellies. But you are absolutely right that it's depressing.
The ending with the letter to Kimber was so intense and a perfect way of wrapping this unimaginably horrific beautiful story with a blood dripping red bow. Man this was such a great story. Keep it up as always Ronnie
Deep down I hoped for a happy ending. I really hoped they would work together and beat the bad guys, and save eveyone. But I knew they wouldn't be able to. God this story is... It's intense. It's so much sadder and darker than almost any other story you've read before. At least in my opinion. The moment when he walked in on Prescott doing THAT fucked me up. I realized what was happening and I actually got emotional. You all did an amazing job.
@@Darksomnium You'll also do Borrasca V? That's sick! Can't wait. Really love your works (both stories and music) and kept recommending it to my friends. Stay awesome :)
I think this one is the most horrific story I've heard on the channel. The writing, acting, and music were all top notch. The ending was not at all what I expected going into it, and to be honest, has me feeling uneasy in the stomach. Thank you to all involved for the highly captivating work.
I teared up by the end of this, the realization that something similar could without a doubt be happening somewhere in the world right now was a little too much to bear…
Pretty much is, in too many places. Sex trafficking is real and the victims are mainly female, age making no difference, and men are also victims also, not as many as women though. As for a 'baby making stable" like in this story, I hate to say that something similar may be out there. It's a fucked up, depraved world.
@@SariennMusic73What's worse is the stories right with the "deep roots", same with drug trafficking. In Arkansas 2 boys accidentally saw a hint of a drug dropoff in a forest, and for it they were killed and their deaths covered up. Not only that, multiple investigators and witnesses were murdered, including an fbi agent.
I am a woman who lives in a place through which traffickers transport many victims and the end was too much for me. I also kinda got used to this author only reading mystical stuff, not including irl violence so I totally didn't read the description with a TW. Well, will read them further on :(
This story shook me to the core. I actually felt humidity collecting in my eyes which has NEVER happened before when listening any stories. I am almost sad as to why I even listened to this story. It has left me truly disturbed
Why he never at least said, 'Dad, I found Whitney' - to find out if his father was in on it...though if (and it seems like it) he genuinely believed his son beat Kyle nearly to death, he didn't... The ending was...disappointing...
I have never heard this story, I have listened to many other stories, but this HIT me. Man, even the scariest of monsters pale in comparison to what humans do to humans. And to think there is something like this and likely ten times worse. Dang, mental.
This is a classic , Mr creepy pasta did this and a really really good one was done by a channel called Q-Code basically a movie in your mind . This story has been around for a long time now very messed up story.
my friend spoiled it to me in the very beginning and even though i was mad, i'm thankful he did. if this ending dropped on me like a bomb i don't think i could have handled it alright, bc even knowing what this thing was about i still cried my eyes out and i spend the last half an hour of the story sobbing, curled up in a ball. this is the second audio story that brought tears to my eyes, the first one was narrated by you as well. the soundrack to this was top tier, it was really picked to match the vibe perfectly. all the voice-overs did such a great job, too! this was mentioned by others but i want to bring it up too. i don't appear here often but i want to let you know that we all appreciate the hard work that you do, and that i'm just grateful i have stumbled upon such a great content creator. lots of love! ps (?) SPOILER WARNING also Meera's child being named William and it started with W which stands for Walker, Sam's dad. and they said about Whitney giving birth to "shit babies" because they were born in result of an incest. her father raped her, and that's why the babies weren't healthy. this shit still terrifies me to the core of my bones.
This is my first time hearing this story and it hurt me on a spiritual level. The stables sound like literal hell and I can call death a reprieve. What a horrid fate to imagine. Loved the emotional rollercoaster sent me through. I'm definitely going to relisten another time because the re-listen value is so high.
The saddest part is that this horror exists irl. Young kids and girls are trafficked every day. It might sound ridiculous but Borrasca is what pushed me to start volunteering as a translator for survivors and for the crisis hotline. Life is crazy
To everyone who is listening to this story for the first time, you are in for quite a ride. You may think that you are ready, but you can never be ready for this. Also, when it comes to stories that had me absolutely absorbed in every detail and moment, this is easily in the top 5. I felt like I was experiencing the character’s emotions as they experienced them.
The burning hot rage I feel towards the people in this story / the 10 years later part. Just can't be described. The gaslighting. The straight up bould face lying to Sam. To be hornest I don't know how many times I have listened to this story. But Its just as good now as it was the first time I heard it ✨️
@@cupcakehips9236 As a person who researches and listens to real life horror along with creepypastas, I wasn't expecting this from a pasta, told so in-depth and with such an on the ground look. It reminded me of similar real life incident though from Arkansas where the police, prosecutor, corner, and even state officials were in on a drug trafficking ring; some young teens happened stumbled onto it similar to this video, but they were hunted down and killed, one escaped and called the cops at local convenience store, police showed up, killed the clerk of the store, then grabbed the kid and beat him to death at a different location. No one was ever prosecuted for it, almost all the whistleblowers and witnesses were killed off and the FBI files surrounding it state that they are aware of the individuals involved but have chosen not to prosecute in the interests of "National Security", which lead many to believe it was connected to a CIA drug running operation. Can't add links here but "Contra cocaine" and "Henry and Kevin Ives" - Both this creepypasta and that incident have made me feel unbridled rage, as if this pasta was a real story, it would likely be covered up just as similar events have been already, and no doubt something like it is occurring somewhere in the world.
@@TheSCPStudio I think it couldn't be more the opposite. The beginning set it up to be cliche, but the ending totally subverts that. I have never ever read another horror story where what was build up as a supernatural villain turns out to be a sex trafficking ring. I'm not sure that kind of subversion has ever been done before, and placing it in the context of familiar horror tropes we grew up with only gives a false sense of, i suppose, comfort, to the reader.
I've been listening to creepypastas for about 6 years now and Borrasca is the only story that's disturbed me. I almost didn't listen to your version but it's work listening to you being it to life.
Nooo half an hour after finishing the story, I just realized Kimbers mom didn’t like Kyle cause they were siblings!! 😭 both with “K” children of the sheriff ‼️**mind blown**‼️
Whoever voices Catherine: i love you, you did an amazing job and your voice is lovely beyond words. Honestly though, great job to everyone! Really, nothing less can be expected by a TDS work. Im nearly done with this amazing story and I want to pay my compliments to both the Author and TDS, for the great and compelling narration and the amazing job done to bring it to life (especially sound-design wise). Thank you to everyone who worked on this as well as all the other amazing videos on this channel.
This is one of the most disturbing stories I have heard. I've listened to it three times already and I've noticed how they hint toward the 'stables' and their Prescott empire. The first time I heard it I felt sick and almost wanted to stop listening, your narration really brought the characters and the disturbing feeling to life. Amazing work and props to all the other people who did the voice acting for all the characters. Can't wait to hear the next part.
Well that was utterly horrifying. Great work. I really felt a lot of this one. Prescott and the Sheriff, and so so many of the townspeople are just. Utterly evil. A story rarely draws this kind of hatred from me towards a fictional character. Obviously part of it is because this could absolutely happen, and some version of it definitely IS happening all over the world, and there’s nothing I can do about it. Such an awful feeling of dread and hopelessness. You all did a great job with this recording. The author’s skill combined with all of the acting and your music made this video so profoundly impactful.
yeah it also helps that the story really makes you care about the main characters, and seeing the absolutely horrific shit they are put through by these evil motherfuckers makes you loathe them all the more. It's especially intense to hear them brought to life like this.
also, one awful little detail I kind of forgot about is that the letter at the end actually implies that Kyle and Kimber are at the very least half-siblings biologically (and the fact they both have red hair points to this besides their names). I guess it's actually good they never ended up having sex...
I wholeheartedly agree... But at least the fact that people are willing to listen to something so evil and resolve themselves about what they would do if they ever saw something like this happening - instead of plugging their ears and pretending it never happens in the world - does give me a little bit of hope. Even if one story can't immediately annihilate all the global human trafficking chains, the story does its job if even one person who listens to it spots a weird van hovering around the local playground and reports it in time to save even just one kid's life from this horror. It does its job if it gets someone to act on a suspicion they would otherwise have tried to ignore by thinking "Well, it's probably just a parent of one of the kids...or a grandparent...it doesn't make sense that they'd leave and then come back, but eh, what can I do about it anyway..." That's kind of a rambling paragraph, so I apologize - but I just gotta voice my agreement when it comes to topics as dark as this. Victims deserve to be heard, not made invisible by people being too disturbed to even mention them and the horrors they go through.
That's honestly kinda the only thing that pissed me off from the story. Humans are evil, yeah, but humans are also kind too, people help each other too. The fact that such a huge terrible thing was going on in that town and nobody tried to do something about it, nor was against it, was hard to believe to me. Like sure, plenty of townfolk benefitted from it, so it kept going on, but sometimes girls from the Town itself were abducted, and I don't buy that nobody would stay apathetically compliant, especially the newer generations that already had suspicions. I heard a lot of messed up stories from towns and villages where I live, and while terrifying shit happens, another thing that also occurs is that when the system fails, people take matters into their own hands and work together. Mc not fighting back, at ALL was also annoying although understandable shock is pretty paralyzing. But like I said, the story is realistic, but what these kind of stories sometimes gloss over is that while evil exists, goodness also prevails, there's always a glimmer of hope among the darkness.@@Arcanadragon
NO WAYYYYY, this is my one of the most favourite creepypasta of ALL TIME. Seeing it or more like hearing it being narrated from my fav the one and only DS is like a dream come true. Holy moly.
You don’t find it odd that your all time favourite story is about grape I don’t mean to be rude but this is a story that no one should be enjoying at all it’s not something that should be used for entertainment please reach out for some kind of help because liking stories like this is not normal
@@sagemarine1970 I was gonna clarify abt this on my og cmnt, but didn't because it was getting too long. It might sound like it's my fav story for all the wrong reasons but that's not true, the real reason is, this is the only story that affected me in a way no other story had. I had this story in my mind for weeks after the first time i came across it. It was kinda difficult to "move on" from this story. Almost every other story has things that i expected n kinda generic, this one has stuff that i expected but didn't want to happen. And also this creepy pasta is the only one I've never heard twice just bcz how sad n twisted it is, I kinda don't wanna listen to it again ngl.
@@sagemarine1970 "oohhhhh doctor help me you gotta lock me up i enjoy horror stories ohhhh" :| in all seriousness tho, fiction is just an entertainment thing. there's no moral value behind what you enjoy. liking "pure, innocent" stories doesn't make you a good person-- so why would liking dark stories make you a bad one? finding a story to be well written and interesting doesn't mean they condone any of the actions in it. that's the whole point of a story. stories -- yes, even dark, awful stories-- have been around for as long as humanity itself. of course it's normal. you don't have to enjoy it-- it's perfectly understandable if stories about r*pe are unappealing to you! i don't really like them either. but to insinuate it's dangerous, sickly, or abnormal to like them is objectively not true.
I love how every time I listen to this, another small detail or realization sinks in that I didn't catch before, and it just keeps adding more layers of horror.
I remember listening to this story when I was 14 and immediately wishing I hadn’t, one of the best creepypastas of all time. You expect the ending to be something predictable or supernatural and it’s something so human and more horrifying than you expect. Amazing work as always Dark Somnium.
@@ackermanmood3768I should look into SA statistics, but either a lot of people fake it "stolen valor" style, or people just started SA'ing a lot more these last 20 years. Idk im 25 and idk ANY sa victims outside my aunt
The detail that Parker’s hair color was different to Kyle’s, the detail that Kyle and Kimberly’s were the same.. the bigger picture is starting to come in
Everything is so different with foreknowledge of the shiny gentleman and the skinned men and what the sound is and why the townsfolk are so secretive and the dad’s actions just hit differently deferent
Oh man, this story _gutted_ me. This is the only creepypasta narration that has made me cry and has made me so damn angry I want to reach into the story and rage against the adults in this story 😭. There is so much material for a pt 2 to this story where Sam finds Kimber and they somehow try to dismantle Borrasca. I had never read or heard this story before so I feel honored that I got to hear *this* version. The narrators, all of you were abso-f**king-lutely AMAZING. I was cleaning and I had to sit down and just *listen* during the last hour. There are only a few books/stories that have pulled genuine feelings from me and this story has now joined that list. ********** So I looked the story up and it seems there is more to the story, I wonder if DS will narrate more of this story or will it be left like this?
The narrative performance of the note at the end has to be some of the best voice acting I’ve ever heard, along with the music this is easily the most thorough and powerful depiction of this story out there
I listened to MrCreepyPasta's verison of this story way back when it came out. I was too young to have understood how serious this topic was but even then it terrified me. Coming back as an adult and hearing it read anew is so surreal, now that I can understand the gravity of the situation fully. There are no happy endings, no silver lining, because that's how it works in real life; nothing changes and people keep suffering. Justice never comes. The music you did for this story was sublime. Seriously, the way the music swelled at the ending gave me chills, incredible work from all the VAs as well.
omg…i genuinely have never been so utterly effected by a story. Y’all’s VA did this story incredible justice. I normally use ur videos to help put me to sleep (ik odd to listen to horror stories to sleep😂) but this one really f***ing struck me. The pure depravity tht this story represented actually had me feel anxious and emotional at the end, and the ability of ALL the voice actors to portray the emotions of their respective characters was insane. Incredible job as always
I haven't heard Borrasca in a very long time -- it's definitely one of those stories that gets even better with time. The true horror of it doesn't really sink in until you're old enough to really comprehend the suffering being inflicted. Great story, great narration. Thanks for bringing this classic back to our attention.
I heard something the other day that people don't actually get desensitized to horror. You may get desensitized to creepy creatures, otherworldly dimensions. But chances are there are still some sort of horror that will still get you. That was this story for me. The inhumanity, the brutality, the sheer amount of dread, truly truly a horror story. Sometimes the scariest creatures are humans themselves. Phenomenal job at voice acting to all parties involved, as well as the sound design. Truly made it an experience.
Spoilers, maybe. One thing that sticks with me about this story is the dad's betrayal of his family. The way Sam shifts from calling his father "dad" to "sheriff" as the story goes on, is so telling & tragic. I'll have to listen again, because maybe I missed something.. I'm wondering how long his father knew what was going on. Obviously, he learned about it at least very soon after they moved to Drisking (his reaction to Whitney disappearing made that pretty clear); or did he know before they moved? I recall something about his dad being reassigned to Drisking as a punishment for misconduct. Was that actually the reason, or did he find out about/meet someone involved in the operation & want in on it out of greed & desire for power? Were there higher-ups in his original office who were in on what was happening in Drisking & saw potential in him as the town's future sheriff/trafficking leader? Was the misconduct mentioned at the beginning & subsequent reassignment to Drisking just a cover-up story to hide the real reason he was sent there (as the letter says, the roots of this operation run deep)? If the reassignment actually was for misconduct, was he already so corrupt that when he found out about the trafficking, any reservations he had quickly vanished when he saw the money & power? Regardless of what the answer is, the guy was always a monster & predator. He just finally found his perfect situation in Drisking. Sort of helps understand his actions towards Whitney: separated her from boys she liked so he could have her, used her as a sacrifice to gain popularity & trust from the town, got to do horrible things to her, & the results of those horrible things he did to her (babies) were sold to infertile townspeople & others, making him even more popular, wealthy, & powerful. I was running around doing chores while listening to this. I'm going to listen again tonight when I'm able to play it uninterrupted. Edited to correct & clarify a few things I typed in haste.
@@CaseyScoffieldWOW Ohhh, thank you so much for letting me know! 😊 I've heard of this story before, but never bothered to try & listen to it. But when DS posted, I decided to give it a listen & quite enjoyed it. Will eventually check out the sequel (preferably read it, if it's free) although part of me kind of likes the unanswered questions & loose ends.
@@baffledbits3226 Yeah, I heard that bit near the end. Ugh, really disgusted me. It's bad enough knowing any child is being SA'd (don't want to upset the YT Gods) for YEARS, but you have to be a whole other level of monster to take part, especially when it's your own kid. And knowing what will happen to her once the new baby is born, because her last few were 'weak' or however they were described. I haven't listened to the sequel yet, but something tells me the father was always a corrupt POS who was probably in on it before they moved. I really hope the sequel doesn't try to blame how terrible most of the adults in Drisking were on something evil being released from the mines & cursing them to carry on with this awful tradition, or the town being developed on a burial ground or some other overused trope. Edited to correct/clarify my hastily typed comment.
i've been listening to your narrations for years and for months i have been saying (to the very tired ears of everyone around me) how robbed we've all been of the possibility of a dark somnium borrasca. i genuinely thought you couldn't do this due to a copyright issue so it wasn't even something i even considered when you started teasing a really big up coming project. i nearly started screaming in the breakroom at work when i saw the notification for this and it did not disappoint. thank you for making the most well crafted narrations and i cannot wait to listen to the next one when it's ready
THIS IS DARK AS F**KALL MAN. Firstly this story feels like the avengers with the amount of cast inside, what a delight! The narration of every cast really brings out the character and the music is as usual splendid. This story feels so hopeless and creepy but what really makes it scary is that once you're done reading, you reflect and realize, this is easily very true and happening in many dark places in the world. This story might be greatly written and marveled at, but at the end of the day, it really acts as the truth for many obscured victims in life. Great work I love it!
I haven’t felt this much emotion since “The Third Parent” granted, it has been a few years since I’ve listened to it because I didn’t want to listen to it again. And I’m still hesitant to listen to it again to compare. That’s how much it affected me.
I couldn't care less about who penned this tale or its origins, but if I don't see its second part released, where Sam turns into Sam Fisher and relentlessly hunts down each of those demons to their very last existence, I swear by all that's holy, I'll take matters into my own hands. Great story by the way really loved it.
I am a newcomer (listening at least 3 months to newer/and popular stuff) to this channel. I did not know what to expect with this story as I did not know anything about it before hand. This story is absolutely incredible. I really want a part two, I want them to get justice, but I know this is meant to be scary/horror, and I understand that this may be where the story ends. I was literally scream/crying when Sam was in the truck with his dad at the end. It was as if Mr. Walker sold his soul. This story is terrifying because it could be so real, and we wouldn’t know. True Detective meets the Ozarks, and the narration is top tier. ❤
Words hardly can express the surreal feeling that this story gave me. The profound silence, the long stare into the screen after the story ended. Simply wow!
I can't stop thinking about this story. Everyone's contribution to the audio really brought this story to life in an inescapably immersive way. The writing is phenomenal, too, of course. They gave all of the pieces we needed to put the puzzle together, really. I'll try to say my thoughts cryptically in case anyone's skimming the comments before listening. I know the general idea of what was going on clicked for me after hearing a certain conversation in a failing shop an hour or so in, but I was too hopeful to connect a specific dot until the newspaper section towards the end, and I'm so mad at myself for that but also in awe because I know the fantastic voice of the main character's POV played a big role in that. This channel has introduced nearly all of my favorite horror stories to me. Thank you so much for making these already amazing stories unforgettable.
This was a truly massive collaboration that resulted in probably one of the most epic and immersive stories I've ever heard!! Everyone absolutely brought their A game, and this performance will go down as one the most essential pieces of spoken literature in this entire genre!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 This was SO WELL WRITTEN, it absolutely captivates the audience AND keeps you on the edge of your seat!! The character developement and world building were exquisite and handled with such professional attention to detail, it always felt like something adapted for the screen!! To me, the ending was woefully anticlimactic, mostly due to the protagonists actions becoming increasingly frustrating, resulting in the final confrontation being almost infuriating ( Dude, grab the gun he put down!! DUDE, tell him you found your sister!! etc..); I don't know if meeting the little brother Parker added anything to the narrative. But the characters were SO well written and so well acted, it really took us to another WORLD!! This is clearly the medley of extremely spirited writing with a PHENOMENALLY talented cast of narrative legends, and can only produce classics like these!! The music is GORGEOUS!!!!!!! So many brilliant artistic choices on display and you all knocked this one smoooooove out the PARK!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Very good story but Jesus I was not expecting that ending. I was half sleeping while listening to it and was wide awake listening to the ending. Almost started to cry at what I was hearing. The author did a great job and you guys did, as always, a great job narrating. Can’t wait for the next story you bring to life
I've never heard this story because I just can't really listen to other narrators. This channel is too good, it outdoes everyone else. And to hear this for the first time on your channel was amazing. All the voice actors included, the music, probably the best story I've heard. Thank you for what you all do to make these happen 🖤💜❤️
Alright this will be good I already know your gonna do this one justice, especially the metallic grinding noise, it would be the perfect experience fro people who have never heard this story before.
As someone who just listened to this story for the first time...I can tell you, it was, indeed, perfect. I think this story has horrified me the most out of all the ones I have listened to, just because of the terrible implications alone. Those poor women.
Thanks, I hate it so much. Crying over a story on UA-cam…you and all of the cast did an amazing job immersing me into the story. I’ll be sharing this one.
Two of my favorite UA-cam horror narrators narrating my favorite creepypasta ever, my week is made!! Anyone that isn't familiar with this story be aware: it is as gripping as it is emotionally devastating.
Dude.... I listened to this at work today all the way home too. I gotta say, I've been a fan of yours for a while now. You've never disappointed, and always top tier quality. The fact you put this with so many creators is amazing. This is my favorite narration done by you by far. From the voice acting, and atmosphere had me feel like I was right there with Sam and the gang. When the story reached its conclusion.... My jaw hit the floor. This is perfect quality my man. PERFECT. UA-cam is too blessed to have you on this platform. Thank you for constantly putting out high quality work, it's truly like listening to an artist on a passion project.
I’ve been listening to your channel for about two years now and thoroughly enjoy every one of your narrations. Liking and sharing many of them. This is the first one I felt truly truly compelled to leave a comment. I had no familiarity with the Borrasca storyline prior to listening to this. I wasn’t expecting any of it. The ending wrecked me, I cried in the kitchen as the letter was being read. I haven’t experienced that type of empathy towards the grief and trauma of any characters prior, as I’m sure many can relate. Thank you Dark Somnium for all that you do. Such a strong community, we all appreciate you immensely!
If you don't mind listening to it another time, Wendigoon and MeatCanyon has a 2 part series of it on their channel CreepCast! Personally, this will probably be my 3rd-5th time listening to this story 💀
This story hit me hard in the feels, so many emotions all at once... Bravo to everyone who worked on this, especially you Somnium. This was a real work of art, both horrifying and beautiful in it's execution.
Wow, this was incredible, so many emotions. This is a great story. I'm a long time listener, first time commenter. I just had to say how much I loved this one
Ngl, stories like this and Penpal, Tommy Taffy, etc, are the prime example of "so bad it's good", but reverse. They are so freaking well written and truly and utterly horrifying that are actually bad for you and you'll probably hate them for how they make you feel. And at the same time you appriciate the existence of these stories for them being masterpieces XD A huge part of it i think is because of how we all know that regardless of the exaggeration in fiction world, similar scenarios to these stories are actually happening in the outside world to people, as i'm writing this..and us human beings are not comfortable with facing those realistic horrors. Similar to watching a True crime doc, but sometimes better, sometimes worse.
Yes! They’re so well written, they make you feel like you’re living them, and because they’re so realistic, it has such a strong impact compared to the idea of monsters and more fantasy horror. I think this story in particular hits so hard because the characters are so lovable too.
This is single handily the most upsetting thing I’ve heard as someone who regularly enjoys horror. My day is ruined. Great job with the aesthetics, I’m going to try and fail to forget this now-
Dude... you are one hell of a storyteller. Hit play while I was working on something and then realized I was hungry and desperate need of the bathroom and 2 hour 5 minutes into the story. Well done!
this is absolutely one of my favourite stories ever and having MY FAVOURITE NARRATOR finally cover it is absolutely amazing. keep up the amazing work Ronnie, we all look forward to all of your stories. much love ❤️
@@Darksomnium When will you guys voice the next part?? I heard Borrasca V is pretty long/multiple parts as well? I'm assuming it'll take some time to record
Well that was truly haunting, terrible, and will live rent-free in my head for a long time. Given the P & K thing, it's no wonder Kimber's mom wasn't happy about her dating Kyle. Excellent job, Somn and crew! Also, thank you for having a cast list in your description. I know I've been asking for that for a while.
Literally gasped when I saw this in my feed. I have been a fan of this work for almost a decade! Been waiting patiently for your upload of this too! I'm so delighted it's finally here.
What an incredibly dark and heartbreaking story. One of the best I’ve ever come across. It was incredibly disturbing and devastating. This one will stick with me😢
All I can say is bravo Mr. Somnium. You are without a doubt my favorite narrator and everyone else did such a good job too. I hadnt heard this one before, but I knew what to expect a bit from Creep Cast. What a devestating ending. Thank you as always for giving these stories and characters the life and vibrance they deserve..this one is gonna stay with me for a long while i think.
I'm still not over this from listening to the Podcast. Borrosca litterally became my Roman Empire. and now you're narating it!!! I'm going to HAVE to listen to it again!!!
The twist was such a gut punching hard turn...wow. I wasn't expecting that kind of horror, not one of monsters but of people who became monsters due to greed. Incredibly narrated by all!
OH - holy shit. I now understand the huge trigger warning, but what an incredibly crafted story. I deeply enjoyed this one- the narration was superb and I could visualize everything I heard. One of my favorites so far.
I am new to the channel and I am loving the stories. This one right here hit me. The realization the kids have when there is no monster. You would almost rather it be one over the alternative. The moment he sees his sister who has been there so long that they have given up on life. The thought that the dad may have known this whole time. The story had a lot of hints at what was happening but all of them easy to miss. The sand which shop woman’s happy tone after she decided to get her kid this way. Man this story was amazing but hurt
Wow this is perhaps one of the best stories I’ve ever heard. The beginning feels nostalgic and reminds me of being a kid and the middle reminds me of my dumb teenage days. The detail, the dialogue, everything about this is so vivid and real. And of course, the ending is just crazy. The whole time I asked myself what will Borrasca be? At some point I started getting ideas as miscarriages were being talked about here and there. But holy shit, it was crazier then I could ever imagine. Also big props to all of the voices actors. The chemistry was excellent and so real. My favorite story on this channel.
I listened to this for the first time and holy shit I was not ready for the emotional roller coaster this story was. Not to mention the incredible delivery of the fear, anger, and other emotions that the VAs portrayed. Gave me chills all the way through and am so grateful that I discovered The Dark Somnium.
Rehearing this for the second time: you really start catching all the names that start with P and K. Makes you fully see the extent to which the town accepted the trafficking. Hope the sequel comes out soon on this channel because there’s so many narrations that I would love to hear in it!
This is one of my favorite creepypastas out there. I will always remember reading it for the first time, thinking all the while that by the end there would be some really f****ed up type of supernatural monster or ghoul, but it was just the regular monster that is the human being. Loved hearing it on the channel. I'm a huge fan. Lots of love from Brasil. PS. Would love it if one day you did a take on Room 733, by the same author as Borrasca, one of my favorites as well.
WOW. Been putting off listening to this one because od the length but finally did and I did NOT see that reveal coming. Awesome voice cast! I can visualize the whole thing like a Netflix show/movie. I would dare say its on the level of a season of Stranger Things. Can't wait for the conclusion script narration's released. We're just in the mid-season cliffhanger wait.
Just finished this one on Spotify and well.... It's been a long time since a story really shook my core that hard. Kudos to the author and your entire voice cast 🤘
This story was crazy. I opened the story expecting a cliche monster horror story or something. This was the craziest story i’ve ever heard. This has left me speechless, i have literally been sitting in the dark, in my room doing nothing but sitting there for the past 30 minutes and thinking about the story.
" I secretly blamed my dad too. I heard the whispers. I'd heard that dad had did something wrong, something bad." Poor kid didn't know his dad is so much worse than that.
NO WAY NO WAY NO WAY! This is absolutely one of my most favorite stories and I never in a million years did I think ny favorite narrator was gonna get around to it! What a great way to start a week OAO!
Man, what a story. I usually tune out the longer stories but you always seemto capture my attention. I was hooked from the start. I did wonder about the metal noise and what it was.
Revisiting this story really makes you realize: What the poem really means Why the schoolgirl was asking if she was related to Kimber Why kimbers mom hated kyle What Meera was talking about with her husband Why mc`s dad used the present tense while talking about whitney at the station
Ive heard this story many times, from many different readers. This is one that i have always been led to believe is a classic. Its a great story, but in your hands, it becomes more. You know you have a gift, this one just exacerbates that fact. Once again, you prove that amongst all of the monsters, aliens, horrors, eldrich entities and all of the evil above and below, the most truly terrifying remains the human being. Our unique creation allows for thinga that are truly unbelievable in both good ways and bad. Your production here shows an ability to not only match your cast to amplify the story, but also shows an uncanny ability to match those characters with a strong points of the person to match the character in the story. So very well done, my friend, to both you and ALL of your cast. Thank you so much for what you do. Your little insomniac.
I was a teen when I first heard this story and oh Man, I forgot how gut wrenching this story was. If it’s anyone’s first time hearing, prepare yourself.
theres been stories youve told, some scare me till im up all night, others hit deep roots hard to describe, none of them ever sent chills the way this one did, this story was so well written and such a twist in it i had no idea what to expect, the guy who wrote this is a great writer and you told it perfectly, good job
I have been a fan of Borrasca Stories for like 4 years now. Reading them gave me such goosebumps, and the ones I shared them with could NOT finish the stories. I heard Mr Creepypasta's rendition of the story and literally was taken aback at the stunning narration. That all said... The moment I saw YOUR Borrasca thumbnail... My ground shook and knees buckled. So happy to hear this breathtaking story in your voice, and extremely grateful for such an amazing performance. The voice acting was on point and immaculate. Thank you for the experience, it was truly horrifying.
You aren't alone in this, I was expecting some kind of eldritch-cult-human-sacrifice thing, and somehow got something much worse.
@@iamsatanjr Yeah this is the first story I have heard that has made me the most sick afterwards
Same!
At first you think it’s supernatural, but then you’re made to think it’s almost certainly going to be some kind of drug trafficking deal (like meth or cocaine). The reality makes drug dealing look like Kindergarten playtime by comparison.
Nobody expects to stumble upon a human trafficking ring.
@@niall1748it does not have a satisfying ending it’s pretty cringe and cartoonish
I was disgusted with the end revealing, most disturbing video I have ever seen, (And I've seen videos)
It's just propaganda to make you feel helpless.

I am a woman who lives in a place through which traffickers transport many victims and the end was too much for me. I also kinda got used to this author only reading mystical stuff, not including irl violence so I totally didn't read the description with a TW. Well, will read them further on :(
I was hooked within minutes and so intrigued with the mystery, but now I'm just heartbroken 😥 That ending was so freaking sad!

I have never heard this story, I have listened to many other stories, but this HIT me. Man, even the scariest of monsters pale in comparison to what humans do to humans. And to think there is something like this and likely ten times worse. Dang, mental.
Agreed, this story just hit like a thousand freight trains
I agree a lot. I have never been so shocked in my life when I started to catch on.
The part with Kyle being beaten to a vegetable fucked me up for days…
Humans are often the worst monsters.
This is a classic , Mr creepy pasta did this and a really really good one was done by a channel called Q-Code basically a movie in your mind . This story has been around for a long time now very messed up story.
my friend spoiled it to me in the very beginning and even though i was mad, i'm thankful he did. if this ending dropped on me like a bomb i don't think i could have handled it alright, bc even knowing what this thing was about i still cried my eyes out and i spend the last half an hour of the story sobbing, curled up in a ball. this is the second audio story that brought tears to my eyes, the first one was narrated by you as well. the soundrack to this was top tier, it was really picked to match the vibe perfectly.
all the voice-overs did such a great job, too! this was mentioned by others but i want to bring it up too.

ps (?) SPOILER WARNING also Meera's child being named William and it started with W which stands for Walker, Sam's dad. and they said about Whitney giving birth to "shit babies" because they were born in result of an incest. her father raped her, and that's why the babies weren't healthy. this shit still terrifies me to the core of my bones.
This is my first time hearing this story and it hurt me on a spiritual level. The stables sound like literal hell and I can call death a reprieve. What a horrid fate to imagine. Loved the emotional rollercoaster sent me through. I'm definitely going to relisten another time because the re-listen value is so high.
I've honestly been a bit scared to listen to it... For reasons that give it quality I guess. It sounds very good.
I completely agree with you... I don't know how to feel now.
The saddest part is that this horror exists irl. Young kids and girls are trafficked every day. It might sound ridiculous but Borrasca is what pushed me to start volunteering as a translator for survivors and for the crisis hotline. Life is crazy

Also, when it comes to stories that had me absolutely absorbed in every detail and moment, this is easily in the top 5. I felt like I was experiencing the character’s emotions as they experienced them.
It's decent but pretty cliche in terms of horror. I was kinda let down that it was so cookie cutter tbh. Especially after all the setup and questions.
The burning hot rage I feel towards the people in this story / the 10 years later part. Just can't be described. The gaslighting. The straight up bould face lying to Sam.
There's a another part of the story on mrcreepypasta that has a satisfying ending
@@niall1748 Yeah, I found it, and you are so right! It was a good ending.
It does its job if it gets someone to act on a suspicion they would otherwise have tried to ignore by thinking "Well, it's probably just a parent of one of the kids...or a grandparent...it doesn't make sense that they'd leave and then come back, but eh, what can I do about it anyway..."
That's kind of a rambling paragraph, so I apologize - but I just gotta voice my agreement when it comes to topics as dark as this. Victims deserve to be heard, not made invisible by people being too disturbed to even mention them and the horrors they go through.
@@Arcanadragon 👏👏👏
But like I said, the story is realistic, but what these kind of stories sometimes gloss over is that while evil exists, goodness also prevails, there's always a glimmer of hope among the darkness.@@Arcanadragon

in all seriousness tho, fiction is just an entertainment thing. there's no moral value behind what you enjoy. liking "pure, innocent" stories doesn't make you a good person-- so why would liking dark stories make you a bad one? finding a story to be well written and interesting doesn't mean they condone any of the actions in it. that's the whole point of a story. stories -- yes, even dark, awful stories-- have been around for as long as humanity itself. of course it's normal. you don't have to enjoy it-- it's perfectly understandable if stories about r*pe are unappealing to you! i don't really like them either. but to insinuate it's dangerous, sickly, or abnormal to like them is objectively not true.

There's a another part of the story on mrcreepypasta that has a satisfying ending
There is a sequel to this story actually. You find out all of the answers to those questions. Mr. creepy pasta did both.
@@CaseyScoffieldWOW What is it called?
I haven't heard the sequel, but there's implications that he's the father of Whitney's children.
Oh dang! Yeah that story is rough
You wont write anything🤣
@@firefly9838 What made you think I will be the one to write ?
He had to hunt down the whole town tho and I'd be happy to read that
On god
There's another part to the story that concludes everything. Sam dosent quite become Sam Fisher. But. I personally like it.
Simply wow!
"YOURE BAD PEOPLE WHO MAKE POOR LIFE CHOICES!!!" 😂😂😂
haha xD
Update: I just finished the story... *Uncanny Mr. Incredible face*
Heard the quote literally like 2 minutes after reading this😂😂😂😂
GigaChad comeback.
This was SO WELL WRITTEN, it absolutely captivates the audience AND keeps you on the edge of your seat!! The character developement
and world building were exquisite and handled with such professional attention to detail, it always felt like something adapted for the screen!!
Wow thank you so much
Alright this will be good I already know your gonna do this one justice, especially the metallic grinding noise, it would be the perfect experience fro people who have never heard this story before.
im excited to see what you think of my version of it!
@@Darksomniumyeah it was good I liked your version of the metallic sound.
As someone who just listened to this story for the first time...I can tell you, it was, indeed, perfect. I think this story has horrified me the most out of all the ones I have listened to, just because of the terrible implications alone. Those poor women.
I have literally read borrasca twice in the last two weeks. This just feels like fate to be honest. I'm super excited for the narration!
Thanks, I hate it so much. Crying over a story on UA-cam…you and all of the cast did an amazing job immersing me into the story. I’ll be sharing this one.
wow thnank you so much! im so glad you enjoyed the story!
Two of my favorite UA-cam horror narrators narrating my favorite creepypasta ever, my week is
made!!
That’s exactly how I feel! You can definitely tell he cares about his work.
Such a strong community, we all appreciate you immensely!
thank you so much, im honored
I CLICKED SO FAST! I've been wanting to relisten to Borrasca for some time. THANK YOU!
im excited toi see what you think!
And at the same time you appriciate the existence of these stories for them being masterpieces XD
A huge part of it i think is because of how we all know that regardless of the exaggeration in fiction world, similar scenarios to these stories are actually happening in the outside world to people, as i'm writing this..and us human beings are not comfortable with facing those realistic horrors. Similar to watching a True crime doc, but sometimes better, sometimes worse.
Tommy taffy messed me up for a while man same with this one
It's really good at making you feel awful.
Well done!
thank you sdo much!
this is absolutely one of my favourite stories ever and having MY FAVOURITE NARRATOR finally cover it is absolutely amazing.
keep up the amazing work Ronnie, we all look forward to all of your stories.
much love ❤️
SO THEY WERE SIBLINGS???!!!!?:?4!!2!1
Such a good and well made story, I was so emotionaly invested in the characters that I wish there was a part 2 😢
there is going to be another part, i plan to do it :)
@@Darksomnium When will you guys voice the next part?? I heard Borrasca V is pretty long/multiple parts as well? I'm assuming it'll take some time to record
@@Darksomniumhave you done that yet or still in the works? This story had me hooked from the start
Exactly!
Yeah, you know what it is
Black and yellow black and yellow
The twist was such a gut punching hard turn...wow. I wasn't expecting that kind of horror, not one of monsters but of people who became monsters due to greed. Incredibly narrated by all!
OH - holy shit. I now understand the huge trigger warning, but what an incredibly crafted story. I deeply enjoyed this one- the narration was superb and I could visualize everything I heard. One of my favorites so far.
yeah except the ending actually killed me inside man
I WISH the trigger had only been for the mention of s#icide.
@@smirkysmuffing Same, same. 🥺
Oh my lord, I’m so excited for this one! The podcast Borrasca was amazing, can’t wait to hear your twist on it!
Viidith22 woop woop woop. I’d know that voice anywhere. Outstanding work by all of you. 🤘🙌
Man this story is rough. Great narration and music cant wait for part 2
it was so heartbreaking omg 💔💔
Glad you enjoyed it
This is one of my favorite creepypastas out there.
I heard this story like 8 years ago and I’ve been looking for it since thank you for posting this
Just finished this one on Spotify and well.... It's been a long time since a story really shook my core that hard. Kudos to the author and your entire voice cast 🤘
I listened to this yesterday from a small creator and now I get to hear it from MY FAVORITE HORROR STORY READER!?! I’m excited :3
First Penpal and now Borassca? I audibly gasped when I saw the notification for this
Don’t forget fleshgait a few videos back! Another classic of the creepy pasta world!
Now we just need 'I dared my best friend to ruin my life' 😊
This story was crazy.
I'd heard that dad had did something wrong, something bad."
Poor kid didn't know his dad is so much worse than that.
Revisiting this story really makes you realize:
What the poem really means
Why the schoolgirl was asking if she was related to Kimber
Why kimbers mom hated kyle
What Meera was talking about with her husband
Why mc`s dad used the present tense while talking about whitney at the station
It's always a good day when Dark Somnium posts a long creepy pasta reading!!
Hope you enjoy it!
Always🥳
this is truly one of the darkest and most beautifully crafted stories i’ve found on the internet. written and narrated by legends.
Oh God i just got over the Creepcast review! God help me but looks like I'm diving in again!
Loved this story so much and really appreciated being a part of it! Amazing production as always 🎉♥️
Everyone in the comments already said it, but thank you
theres been stories youve told, some scare me till im up all night, others hit deep roots hard to describe, none of them ever sent chills the way this one did, this story was so well written and such a twist in it i had no idea what to expect, the guy who wrote this is a great writer and you told it perfectly, good job
Brought the tears back, that i thought were long gone!
2:24:20 Man, and I thought Kimber's mom hated Kyle. Yet, she was just disgusted by the fact that they were related.
