Hey everyone! i hope you have a good weekend! This was a fun story to do, it had alot of characters so i included some new voices to the channel and ill include their links in the description if you want to check them out! Remember to like and share (if you want to) and let me know what you think of the story!
Jake the drunk friend ya know will be fine at the end of the day - unfortunately there's always a day the might not be fine, it's just too easy to become complacent
I love those type of heroic sacrifices in any story because it’s an actual true heroic act, most of the time you imagine a hero sacrificing himself and dying gets to live in heaven or at least rest easy but when they are told by doing the right thing they will suffer for it and would benefit from doing the wrong thing, then choosing the right thing to do is truly selflessly heroic
It's an interesting concept. I remember reading a spider-man comic once where Peter was talking with their version of the devil, Mephisto. Peter asked if their bargain was for his soul and Mephisto replied no. He hated bargains where one soul was traded to save others because they suffer with righteousness in the hearts knowing they saved others.
Which is why in a world of good and evil like tvis story there is no way the good side would sit back and allow that to happen. They would come for the guy.
@Timmeh_The_tyrant Definitely. The "good" guys would be on the hunt. The other thing I found a little unbelievable is that they waited until the last possible moment to tell him what he was & what he must do. Ppl are often indecisive when they're rushed. Example: ppl not signing for organ donation of loved 1s bc they don't have time to think about it. So, he may have been able to be convinced if they started working on him earlier. They could have raised him expecting it to a degree.
@@DeadManWinter are you a new up an coming narrator? I checked out your page, but maybe it was a personal page? But great voice acting,it all really came together well!

Ha! This one was amazing and full of twists. Hell, even the last conversation with the sheriff had a lots of them. "He's on it. Wait. he's not. oh, he definitely is. But then why would he?" And his voice actor totally sold it. Amazing job, all of you guys.
Hey Ronnie I’ve been a listener for about 5 years and this is my first time commenting. I’ve always wanted to tell you how amazing and truly inspiring your narrations are: there is not one narrator who puts in as much hard work and effort as you and we all appreciate it. Thank you!
Jake is THE MAN at the end. Dude pit maneuvered a cop, smacked an evil woman, killed two other evil people, and, presumed, took care of him and got his girl to safety..
Very well written, I want to see more stories written like this, where the characters relationships are explored. Would love to see more stories like this where emotions are really played out in the story.
Then you’ve come to the right channel, because DS has exactly those kinds of narrations. Definitely quality over quantity..the authors that he narrates for such as Verstahl, m59gar, and so many more..this channel is NOT like a lot of these up and coming short stories with no thought,no creativity,no character development at all, just odd stories that don’t make much sense. This change has stories that aren’t just horror, but one of high strangeness, like “the girl the universe forgot” great story, has to do with the Mandela effect. Just so many stories that leave you kind of wondering, just like this one..or ones where there isn’t always a happy ending..and then there’s “you’ll always be my baby” that’s the very first story I read here, years ago when I first subbed! It’s been so nice to watch the channel grow!
Good luck on your recovery! I’m six years clean now and I promise it genuinely will get easier and easier with time. Just wanted to mention how much I liked SpiritVoices in this one. Her Voiceacting seems to have leveled up lately. (Which does not imply that it ever was bad. It just became better)
That was an absolutely brilliantly written story and narrated to perfection. One of the few that had me hooked and kept me there from the beginning. My thanks to you both, Dark Somnium and to the author.
Your production quality is insanely good. I find myself more involved in your videos than any other horror story channel. Its something that makes you stand out from the rest.
Yeah, I feel like there wasn't enough background to make their relationship feel believable. Honestly, I think the real reason Sam sacrificed himself was because his life wasn't exactly much better than what he was threatened with. He's put up with this for 16+ years, might as well take it for longer when it's the right choice.
Thoroughly enjoyed this story, I listen to loads of these but it's very rare a story fully engages me for the entire hour, this certainly did. Great listen, thanks to all involved ❤
An hour long story just at bedtime? What more can a person ask for! I just finished listening to the entire ghost tree series again(and i'm on my way to watch all the videos on this channel, and some favourite ones like the left right game, Secret government prison, etc. once again!)

That's the best one you've done In a while, I mean all your narration work is great. And the authors story's you use are great. But this one was just a cut above the rest. Great job man and amazing job to everyone eles voicing there characters.

An to my fellow Creepypasta listeners.
OOO SNAP! FRIENDS OF DS!!! I just re- listened to STOLEN TONGUES that he recorded 4yrs ago and SHIT!!!! Out of the hundreds of Creepy Pastas I have heard, this is the only one that has made my Stomach flutter and my body feel anxiety that turned my body cold. How is this story not as popular as NFC and Prison Guard??? Seriously friends, check it out.!!!!

I’ve been patiently waiting for a story like this lol lately I haven’t been able to find a story that really grabs me and pulls me in. I’m at work, I’m a waitress, but it’s dead, no customers at all and I’m so thankful because I can just do side work and listen. I love days like these. This story is GREAT. DS never disappoints
Hi Ronnie, listening now!
yooo! i hope you like it!
deq! Hope you are well 👍
Such a freaking talent!! Thanks for all involved!! ❤
I’ve been listening to u for awhile now and you are my favorite next to lighthouse horror
thats quit the compliment! :) thank you!
Been a listener for a couple years now, I remember late nights when I first started my business and your narrations would be playing all night on the workshop speakers.
Thank you
Tune in next week for
"My home town is small and boring. I wish it wasn't"
Just wanted to mention how much I liked SpiritVoices in this one. Her Voiceacting seems to have leveled up lately. (Which does not imply that it ever was bad. It just became better)
Have a good weekend everyone ❤
same to you riley! :)
That was an absolutely brilliantly written story and narrated to perfection. One of the few that had me hooked and kept me there from the beginning.
My thanks to you both, Dark Somnium and to the author.
Title reminds of the pancake family
Damn. This is a great story. I think it could be a book. The sadness of his love hits hard.
Edit: SPOILERS Oh my FUCKING god. He was drinking his parent's decompozing bodies. HORRID
Dont put spoilers in the comments bro😭😭😭😭
Um, Spoilers!!!!!!!!
@@jr-ft3ozdon’t read the comments. It’s your fault
@@Geek_Speak_Gamingit’s a post about the video, your fault for reading the comments
@@ozgecko4050ah. I see your point now
Your production quality is insanely good. I find myself more involved in your videos than any other horror story channel. Its something that makes you stand out from the rest.
Thank you so much!
Dont buy MC was actually in love with his girlfriend, they barely even interact throughout the story. Jake was obviously the true love all along
Aw that makes me sad. I wish Sam would've gone down fighting instead
Thoroughly enjoyed this story, I listen to loads of these but it's very rare a story fully engages me for the entire hour, this certainly did.
Great listen, thanks to all involved ❤
I loved all the guest narrations in this video, perfect timing for some painting
Glad you like them!
An hour long story just at bedtime? What more can a person ask for!
I just finished listening to the entire ghost tree series again(and i'm on my way to watch all the videos on this channel, and some favourite ones like the left right game, Secret government prison, etc. once again!)
sweet dreams!
I havent listened to this story yet, but I just wanted to say that I love this channel, Absolutely my favorite narrator! I love your voice and the content you make :)
(Will update after I listen to story)
this one was so good. it was genuinely really interesting to listen to and it was really captivating. sometimes with longer horror stories like this can really cause me to tune it out but this one held my attention the entire time. great voice acting work as well!!
