  • Let's take a look at the Eberlestock Switchblade, one of the most versatile and effective CCW/EDC bags on the market right now. For bags similar to this once, check out the other EDC bags in the Eberlestock lineup like the Little Trick, Cherry Bomb, and Jacknife, or the Vertx Gamut lineup.
Thank you to Anthony and Military Gear Junkie for suggesting this review!

I did pick it up off market around 130,000 won in South Korea which is equivalent to 100 bucks. I did use it for a couple of outings and traveling. Worked great. The bag is fairly comfortable though the bag has no rigid frame in it but it's got nice comfy pad and some plastic sheet structure. Big enough to store my warm layers in cold season. I added a strap with a quick release buckle on the front loops so I can use the pack like a top loader but if I want the bag fully open like a clam shell undo the buckle and lay the flap out. Just like Eberlestock it's very versatile for your uses.

For future reviews, could you show the pack/bags on body or carry? Scale can be hard to judge sometimes. Thanks for the reviews and content.

I really wanted to love this bag. It looks great and has great organization, but here are my two main concerns: 1. I don't think that thin soft lining located in various places throughout the pack, including the bottom of the water bladder/laptop pocket, will hold up well at all. It feels very fragile even brand new--like a really thin baby blanket. It is also not true hook and loop. It's too fine and not that grippy. I see that material getting shredded in a fairly short period of time with daily use. 2. The cord cinches and spring locks on the water bottle pockets are in the way of the concealed carry compartment on both sides. There could not be a worse place to draw a handgun with those loose cords and plastic spring locks to catch something on the way out. That, plus the opening is too small for a clean draw with a larger handgun. This bag is so close to perfection for an EDC. The only reason I might keep it is because I have a hard time returning anything I really want to like, even if I don't like it that much. I was hoping this would be an upgrade to my 5.11 Tactical LV18 2.0, but it's not. Just one man's opinion.

I just stumbled across your video, I have been using the Switchblade as my everyday/work backpack for a few years now. Its has been great. One thing you may have missed are the two small pockets at the bottom on either side of the taper in the concealment section that are the perfect size for extra magazines so they do not float around in that section. Good review, I would love to hear the follow up after you used it for the two weeks.

i would go switchblade if you want lowkey, greyman, edc pack. if you don't care, I would go mystery ranch 2 day assault but remember there's is no ccw slot in the 2 day assault :)

@@RusticLiving4148 Eberlestock Switchblade , fit, finish and materials are great . I have only used it for a carry-stuff-to-work, a couple of overnight trips , and short day hikes . So far , I am impressed ! I just bought but haven't yet used , the hip belt . I think this will be a real workhorse pack for me . I am even considering the Bandit , as I don't really need the size for day hikes .

Have you tested the Eberlestock Little Trick bag? I love the features of the switchblade but I’m thinking the smaller footprint of the Little Trick might prove to be more useful day-to-day.

I have one of these in black with the grey interior, and to the average civilian, it's basically invisible. Nobody looks twice at it.
