- I've always loved Amaryllis. My grandma grew hundreds (maybe thousands) over the course of her lifetime, and I'm passionate about doing the same. Today I'll share details on bulb sizes and how to know when an amaryllis will bloom based on its country of origin. Then we'll talk about how to plant the bulbs, care for them as they grow, treatment after blooming, and how to rebloom the bulbs in subsequent years.
Here's an article I wrote on creative ways to gift amaryllis - blog.longfield...

I have watched many videos on amaryllis and have been growing a number for several years. Your video is by far the best I have seen! I have probably heard it all before but the way you express yourself will now make me remember it. Your are a superb teacher and your friendly, warm personality shines through. I love your videos.
Very true... you explain as simple as can be and you are clear and articulate and not rushing/talking so fast.
Enjoyed watching ur videos. Love this flower. I got 3 plants at this time n their all blooming.
Thank you for this video! My wonderful neighbor and piano teacher gave us this amazing huge amaryllis bulb. He and his wife potted it in the winter and gave it to us as the green leafs just started blooming! I had no idea how to take care of them, but was super excited to learn! Your video has helped so much
I have amaryllis that I have had for 20 years. It has multipled in bulbs. I'm afraid to hurt it if I try separating the bulbs. I need help.
Thank you for being so passionate about this fabulous bloom. It has enthused me so much and now I'm obsessed. I have a really old bulb that only bloomed one time and on my birthday at that, April 27. Since then, I never had let go of this bulb even when we moved 3 yrs. ago. She's still with and one day, to my shock, I saw a bud. I had kept it hidden behind a big pot of daisy under our covered patio and for about 3 yrs. now, just grew long sword like green leaves. I just thought it would never bloom again since I planted it deeply covering the whole bulb even after my senior friend gave it to me, first on the ground and now it's in a pot. To make a very long story short, I have a bud and 2 baby shoots that I have separated and replanted thanks to your tutorials. I don't know the kind I have but it's a dainty pink with a.bit of yellow. 🥰
My 1st grade teacher gifted me a single Apple Blossom amaryllis bulb. I am now 24 and I have well over 12 main plants and a ton of offshoots. I keep them planted outside since I live in the south with warmer climates. They bloom every year right around my birthday which is in April 😍 they are such a beautiful species of flowers!
Cool
I must say this is one of the best videos on Amaryllis bulbs. I love how thorough you were in explaining the process with beautiful displays to boot. Thanks so much for sharing.
Your Amaryllis are simply spectacular. I just put my six potted amaryllis into my COOL dark basement so in two months the end of November i will bring them back upstairs into the sunlight i will keep my fingers crossed for the blooms great helpful video.
I know this an older video but it made me go get 2 bulbs this year. Can’t wait to see them bloom. You make me so happy watching you and how happy you are as a gardener. Thanks for all your knowledge and sharing with all of us.
Me too!
We had a white one that bloomed continuously for 10 years! Sometimes it would bloom twice a year which was mind blowing. Thanks for the great insight!
My red amaryllis bloomed twice in the first year I had it. Now I'm getting ready to put it away for dormancy. Hoping it blooms twice again next year! 🙏🏿
But wow 10 years continuously is amazing!!
Thanks for all the very useful cultural information and decorating ideas. I used to send amaryllis bulbs to my late mother every Christmas. She lived in Houston and they were perennial in the garden there (despite all the rain). Her husband once ran the car into the downspout of the house because he was distracted looking at the bed of magnificent amaryllis that grew along the driveway. I don't think she did anything special to them but they came back every year.
We live in East Texas and we can plant them outside and they’re perennial. We don’t do anything special. I bought one new this year and when it’s done blooming I’ll plant in ground in the spring 😻
I have been growing amaryllis for more than 30 years.l love these absolutely bright ,delightful flowers.Your presentation and your love for this flower touched my heart.
I have had an Amaryllis that I got from my dad's nursing home room. He has been gone 8 years snd his Amaryllis is still going. I do exactly what you do only I bring them in in early October here in Missouri. They bloom for me in February. Love them.
I love receiving Amaryllis as an early Christmas gift and having them bloom by Christmas Day or a few weeks after. The bright color flowers lift my spirits after the Christmas tree is down in the "grey winter." Your video is extra special, showing the beautiful flower and giving so much information...some I didn't know. Thanks for the video. I will share the link.
That does, indeed, clear things up! A neighbor gave me a bulb, and I didn't get the process of how to place it in dormancy, even though I looked online as to how I might do so. Now I know - of course - what I'm doing wrong! I was very afraid to NOT water it, too, so, I know not to be afraid; I did not water the bulb, but was wondering if I was wrong to not water, even though I was being told not to.
Your specific timeline of how to induce the bulb to bloom is very helpful - much more clear than what I had been reading previously, in other articles, and videos!
First of all…your videos always make me smile! This is such a fantastic tutorial on Amaryllis and your passion for growing them is contagious! I’ve only started one this year but I think now I should add more…😄👩🏼🌾
Hi. I usted to buy the same colors every year, but I'm buying diferentes colors this year.
I had a amerylis bloom at Christmas time. Then it bloomed again in July. I don’t know what what I did but it was nice to have it bloom again.
Hello how are you doing today
Thanks for the very informative video. Last year I treated myself to 3 expensive bulbs at a nursery, instead of getting the packaged blubs at the supermarket. The did great at Christmas. I transferred them to my balcony in the Spring and let them be, and to my great surprise I discovered new shoots in August. They bloomed just as great as at Christmas. Out to the balcony they went after blooming again. They have been sitting just inside my balcony door since the beginning of September. I added 3 new bulbs to the collection this year and they are starting to bloom now. Low and behold, so are the ones from last year/this summer! I did not know how to deal with them and just treated them like houseplants instead of putting them into dormancy. I think I am now addicted to get more and more as long as they are available this winter.
I do not remove leaves or flower stalks until they are yellow and pull off easily because the bulb is absorbing anything that it can from them to strengthen itself.
After care is always a problem for me. Your explanation is very easy to understand. Thank you!
I’ve always loved Amaryllis, but never realized I could get them to rebloom past the first time. So, THANK YOU! I have a couple beauties that I just can’t part with and now I don’t have to. I’m partial to the white amaryllis, which tend to be in that lime green range. I’m gifting them to friends and making them extra special by putting an identical empty pot turned upside down, like a cover over the potted amaryllis. Then I’m connecting the 2 pots with pretty ribbon and glueing greenery on the top with a bow. They make stunning gifts and are always a hit. I put simple growing instructions on homemade tags. Thanks very much. I’ll direct the newbie amaryllis growers to your uTube channel. 👍♥️👍
I have the same passion for amaryllis! Just received my second order a few weeks ago! Great talk on amaryllis! Best video I have seen on how to grow them. I have about thirty I put outside for the summer and they are now resting in my basement. I also forced about 40 hyacinths in my garage. ( I live in Illinois zone 5) I just discovered your videos and love them! Merry Christmas!
I love your amaryllis enthusiasm. This is the best tutorial. Thanks for all your expertise. 🌷
This is very good information. Thank you so much. I’m just starting to try re-blooming my bulbs so wish me luck.
I thought I was done buying plants for the year, until your amaryllis videos these past few days. My Longfield Garden order just arrived today. Your videos seemed to prepare me in this new plant journey. Wish me luck!
Ok, now I feel like I can really get these to rebloom again, thanks Danielle! Amaryllis are so expensive and now that I know how to take care of them I'm going to give it a go.
Thank you so much for this very enabling video! I just went ahead and ordered a whole bunch of bulbs. I always thought amaryllis was one and done annuals and couldn't justify spending money on them. I'm now so excited to have them as houseplants.
She made me order more too! :)
A lot of people toss them out after the holiday bloom. They didn't realize it's a flowering plant that you can enjoy for many years to come.
. Do you import y amarylls to Jamaica.
@@pershop4950 Yes! I had no idea. A neighbor just gave me one in wax. I did water once before I researched them Beautiful plant 👍🏻😊
best amaryllis video i have seen. you are a great teacher
I love the easy instructions and your passion in growing amaryllis! I am trying to grow one right now! 😍
I have always put mine in the dark all winter then bring them out in early spring (while in bloom I keep in the house, then take outside in the shade during the summer). I have give away over 50 because they spread in the summer. My blooms are usually 10 to 12 inches big. Love these flowers.
Whew, that’s a lot of information but as usual, Danielle, you explain everything in such a simple-to-understand way. Your enthusiasm for amaryllis is contagious. I had given up on them because every time I have bought them (@ the big box stores) they have never bloomed in the color depicted on the label. I prefer pink over red and they ALWAYS turned out red! Not exactly getting what I paid for but I have learned my lesson; any amaryllis bulbs I buy in the future will be from a reputable company! Thank you for this great reference video.
Flowers in winter.....color, green, growing, beauty...cheerful, interesting and fun...win, win, win....a happiness hobby...wholesome and shared by the whole family.
You don’t have a problem! 🤣 They are addicting. You are the best, Danielle! I do the same process as you described and have had great luck the last couple years. I do plant them outdoors in the ground during the warm months - we get less rain that you. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Great video. I do almost exactly like you except don't have a basement so I remove from their pot in early September, shake off soil, roll in brown paper and put in as dark a spot as I can find. Then, when foliage dies off the bulb I bring back out, repot in fresh soil and yes, the rest occurs just as you describe. The thing is, some of us don't have basements so this method helps the bulb dry and go dormant. So its just an alternate way to make the bulb go dormant. Thanks for the great video!
Your video solves whatever confusion I have with amaryllis. Thank you.
Thank you so much! It’s nice to know other people love these special flowers as much as I do - and especially at Christmas. I can’t wait to try and get one to rebloom. Thanks for the tip.
I predict you are going to have millions of subs by the end of next year. Your videos are so informative, unpretentious, appealing to almost anyone, and so enjoyable to watch. Keep up the great work!
Love the informative videos, I've learned a lot about these plants from you :). I received a southern Amaryllis as a gift 3 years ago and found the massive flowers beautiful and intriguing. Thanks to my total ignorance of these plants I've simply left it growing as a houseplant the entire time without any dormancy periods. I've found it still blooms every November with 2 massive stalks and huge flowers. Maybe because of the lack of dormancy period the bulb has become massive and so far created 14 babies over three years (!). Because of the lack of dormancy, the leaves grow without limits. Sadly they can't suspend themselves and flop over making the plant look pretty shabby. Nonetheless, I let it "grow wild" like this for years, simply giving the leaves support with one of those plant rings. This year it was getting way out of hand and I repotted it, separating a total of 12 additional baby bulbs and trimming the leaves on them all and repotting. Mine is a pink variety but I would love a red pearl, I hope I can find a supplier that will ship to Canada.
I've been looking for ideas for amaryllis companion plants and you are the first UA-camr that actually mentioned some examples. Thank you so much for the quality information and happy pre-holidays season!
Thank you so much! You answered all the questions about growing and keeping the bulbs! 🙏🏻😍I've bought a few bulbs this year and I'm going to plant them using your expert advice! This makes me happy😁😁😁
You have inspired me to do something new, growing Amarillis! I love your idea to decorate the plant while waiting for them to take off! Thank you ❤️💓
Hello how are you doing today..
Great info!! Very clear and concise so cute you are!! Thanks!
I plopped mine in the ground in zone 7b a few Xmas ago and it comes back every spring.
I have one Amaryllis bulb for the first time and i'm in love with this beautiful plant. Is still small but i hope see it blooming for the first time soon.
I LOVED this video! This was the most informative video on amaryllis I’ve seen on UA-cam. It was also nice to see all your beautiful flowers. Thanks so much!
Great explanation. Thank you. I just ordered more this year. They are so awesome. These beautiful bulbs lift up your spirits when winter gets a bit too long. Yours look so nice.
Nice. I may try to grow one this year. I just sent this video to my mom she love Amaryllis.🤗❤🎉⭐
I watched this video last year and i just has to watch it again. Thank you Danielle
Wonderful information. I belong to the Camas , Washougal garden club here in Washington. I have sent this on to our club. I just got one as a gift so now I know how to plant it. Thank you and Happy New Year.
I have BEAUTIFUL Green long leaves,no stalks. Just let them alone?? I'm soo thankful to have found you. Healthy vibes ☮️
I am new at this, and when my friend gave me one for my Birthday November 24 th, the next week it started to flower, now I have 4 1/2 flowers ( White). I am a fan now!
You give the best advise for growing things! ⭐️
My all time favorite is that we can use ordinary “shop lights” for seedlings! Best money saving tip ever👍👍👏
Great video! Very simple and straightforward. One question I do have is about the roots. I put mine in a dark spot let the leaves dry up. When I took it out of dormancy I repotted it and snipped all of the roots. Not sure if I should have done that. I ordered another and it came with the roots still on it. Should I have potted it with the roots or cut than back? Not sure.
In another video, she explains that you should leave the roots because when bringing them out of dormancy, and before repotting, she soaked the roots (and only the roots ) for 12 hours. In that experiment, she proved that the bulbs woke up much faster and bloomed ahead of the ones that she did not soak.
Wow your so good . You are so awesome at explaining everything..... great video
Thank you so much for this fantastic guide! I have always wanted an amaryllis and finally got one today, and I am so nervous about killing it. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! I hope my collection can be as big and beautiful as yours one day!
Lowes got all varieties of amaryllis bulbs right now. I got me 2 of each color, so I'm so happy about it and hope to learn something of this video n thanks for the information... we all have a problem here with this beautiful plant 😍
I love the enthusiasm you have for these flowers and I am hoping to start a tradition with these bulbs. Thank you for the educational video.
I am going to try to plant them.Never done that before.Beautiful flower plants.Thank you for the info
I love those flowers wish i can get some bulbs
Hi Danielle! I applied your idea of soaking the bulb before planting to my liatris bulbs a couple weeks ago (March). Why not? Worth a try! Thanks!!!🌸
I do like your video about Amaryllus bulbs saving for a next blooming. My experiance with Amaryllus bulbs is , you can force them to bloom at least twice a year. They can stand indoors in a window spot in full sunlight at shout-side, warm above a radiator. Watering when grow or blooming once the ground gets dry out. After blooming, I did cut the flower stem and let grow the leaves for severall months. The bulbs will grow back from beïng smaller after blooming. Next I stop watering till ground is dry out. Next I cut the leaves, the bulb stands there dry in pot on the same spot. So no cool period. After a while the bulb starts growing a new flower but. This might be in 4 till 6 weeks after the cutting. Next when the but opens and starts flowering, a litle watering after letting dry out the ground. So the cyclus starts over again. (excuse me for my language, I am from the Netherlands) Succes with your video's. Your pasion for plants helps others in there plant hobby. Greeting, Marcel.
Susan, Thanks so much for your Video. I found your video as I was looking for information on how to put my Amaryllis into dormancy, as I have owned this one for better than 20 years, and have only had it bloom 2 X in all that time. Not knowing anything about it, I suddenly realized how beautiful this plant and flower was when it bloomed for the 2nd time, after we moved to Texas, having not bloomed in over 10 years. I had no idea (for example, that they loved to be root bound,(I learned from you) ha!! who knew. I purchased my first and only Amaryllis, at Christmas time(of course) while it was beginning to bloom. I have no idea what variety this one is, other than it probably has something to do with Christmas ha ha. At any rate, thank you so much for your information on how to cut them back, clean the root ball, and put them into dormancy. In learning from you, i was lucky enough to uncover more than 20 baby's and fully grown bulbs attached to mama plant, and was able to separate all of them. I am so excited it will be difficult for me to wait until the 6 weeks to 2 months time to take them out and start them growing again. I can hardly wait. Not much can keep me from tending to my new babies in the not too distant future. Thank you again for giving me the knowledge to now take care of this beautiful plant the way it was supposed to be taking care of. Until that time, I will be catching up on the rest of your video's on all the other bulbs you have videos on. Happy growing. Billie
I just started doing this, this year I have Amaryllis and Paper Whites. I'm allergic to Poinsettias so I love Amaryllis. So great to have something green and growing inside.
This was the BEST explanation of what to do with this plant. So easy to remember. Thank you 🙏
I am going nuts over these beautiful flowers at the moment I have bought so many to my collection .. and you made me even more excited to buy more lol I am obsessed 😍
Your comment about telling your husband not to buy you presents because you just bought 10 amaryllis was so funny! I gave mine a list of all the gardening tools I want, but I want to buy one of them today, hard to wait until
Christmas! Have a wonderful December
Your collection of amaryllis is amazing.
I love amaryllis too. The first time I bought a bolb from Lowe's was the year of covid-19 to my surprise it didn't bloom for Christmas - but - it bloomed the time of lockdown. This brought me such beauty in my heart and house. The red colour was so brilliant that I took pictures and send it to a friend saying "in the midst of this horrible situation that the world is in" something beautiful is among us. 😊 But, unfortunately I didn't know what to do after the blooms died. The leave kept growing so tall, I cut them down and l think the bolb died? Not sure what to do with it so I threw it out. 😢. I know better this time. 😊 Thank you for your wonderful explanation. 😊 🌺🌸
I love your videos. I love amaryllis as well. I haven't been very lucky with them. I live in California zone 9b. I use miracle grow potting soil. My bulbs have not bloomed again the following year and the bulbs have got smaller. I don't know what the problem is. Last November I got 12 new bulbs. I hope they grow well. I mixed the soil with chicken manure compost and perlite. I planted them in the ground. Thank you for such amazing videos.
I leave mine in a sunny area all year around, it blooms each year.. Fun to see them in bloom!! Your look gorgeous!
Jus bought myself 3 for my bday 1st week of dec they’re already growing & came potted as kits in plastic roomy pots boxed! Got 1 white 1 pink and a red w white so I’m gonna start my indoor garden fall / winter garden adding these to my Xmas cactus bc seems I only do great w Xmas cactus!
esp compared to my outdoor garden of pot sunk flowers which believe it or not re seed themselves delightfully all over my garden, somehow … yay me bc if I was planting them I cant grow as much at all. So I let Mother Nature kick in and enjoy!
You give me inspiration that maybe I can add these to my fall winter blooming like crazy many Xmas cactus!
I totally dread seeing my outdoor garden die off in fall
Ive tryed bringing some indoors .. a fail… but instead now after this video…
I will pull out these amaryllis letting them b my winter months indoor garden since they are less water demand like my blooming Xmas cactus! Now I’m to let the leaves stay green like a house plant and in early fall like Sept. cut off the leaves end water and put em away til NOV about the time my Xmas cactus start blooming…. Wish me luck, I don’t like causing living plants doom!
Ps amaryllis like alotta sun?? Or jus good light like my Xmas cactus?
Well thank u very much for the video! Very cool indeed
Thank you, I think I have a great direction to head with my amaryllis bulbs.
I live in Houston tx and have like 30 different colors, just bought 2 yesterday for my mother ,there selling now at walmart, randalls, lowes, and Houston gardens, beautiful
My favorite of all your videos. Concise information on what has been a very confusing subject. Thanks. And my 3 amaryllis bulbs hiding in a cold closet with surely thank you, too!
Congratulations: you did a great job! 71 y/o Canadian gardener. Thank you
I really enjoyed this video and took two pages of notes! I received a bulb as a Christmas present. I was annoyed because it arrived on my doorstep around 10:00 PM and wanted to go to bed but directions said to plant immediately. Ugh. I thought the pot provided was ridiculously small so rustled up a larger one. Now I see your video and you said they like a snug fit. Ugh again. I ended up staking it when it took off. Plants and I don't like each other so I just figured I was going to kill it and not get any blooms. Boy was I wrong. It was so exciting to come down in the morning and see how much it had grown! I got two flowers out of it (gorgeous white with pink streaks) and then later, another stalk came up and it bloomed again! Yay! I didn't kill it. It was in front of a very sunny sliding glass door. The only thing that was disappointing was that the blooms didn't last long. However, I see you said in your video that after blooming, it should have been moved to a cooler location. You are a font of information! I watched another video where the person had taken her bulbs out of the soil and laid them in a large pan in her basement to hibernate. I think I will do it your way. I laughed when you said you had a problem but you have an amazing collection so worth it!! Thanks for the great video.
Haha I love that you just ordered more! I’m that way with spring bulbs. Every order is “the last one” 🙈🙃 and I get gifts for myself all fall and winter long 😆
Great video, lots of super information! I didn't know about the N vs S hemisphere bulbs. I also have an Amaryllis problem! This Christmas my mother and I went crazy and now we have 16 between us! I give them to friends every year for Christmas. They all send me pictures when they bloom, one sent me a picture with a tape measure to show me it had grown to 14"! Best presents ever, they bring so much happiness!
Shes soooo pretty. I can listen to her talk about flowers all day lol. I stumbled across her while being in walmart and saw some dahlia bulbs and needed info on them. 😍 I love how excited she is about what she does. Makes me laugh. I think i found my first youtube crush. 😆 These flowers look phenomenal.
I love them also. Where I live I have them inside and then in spring they go in my garden and bloom outside. I even buy the waxed ones, no blooms but I love the long strapped leaves. Gorgeous . great video. Thanks
That was a great video Danielle, very informative.
Your Magical Touch Amaryllis is stunning. What a great collection you have. Thanks for all the good information.
Hello have just come upon your video, such wonderful information and beauty. I am wondering if the amaryllis planted in people's yards one could do what you are with your bulbs. We recently moved to our new location and the previous owner has many amaryllis but they do not bloom much, just put off many leaves. Thanks for sharing. In Joy
Very helpful! This is my first year planting amaryllis and I’m already seeing growth!
Your video today was timely. I cut down the two stocks this morning on my Amaryllis (it’s finished blooming) and I was wondering what to do next. Thank you so much. I appreciated all the input.
My plant has gone crazy this year. One side has four blooms and the other side of the plant has five blooms. I have no idea how to care for it so you have given me new information which I will hopefully be able to do.
The best I have seen so far. I’ve only seen 3, lol. Hubby bought me an amaryllis for my Thanksgiving and it’s blooming now, 2 blossoms, 2 more coming! I so want to know how to bloom these! I will have a lot more space next year to let them sit in the sun for 9-10 months next year when our sunroom addition is finished! I love them so ,ugh, next to Christmas cactus and any blooming cactus it’s my favorite!
Excellent video. I’m happy to learn how to take care of them after blooming. I have a bulb problem too. I bought 1,400 daffodils and tulips from colorblends this year.
I have tulips and an entire bag of daffodils I didnt get to planting. lol i was lazy sadly. Can I store them for warmer months or will they go bad?
I do love having indoor blooming plants when it is snowing outside too. I think I need to order more too!
Thank you for the video. You answered my questions. I really did not know about the bulb origins and how it affects the blooming period.
So much good information about growing and caring for Amaryllis that I have never heard before. I thoroughly enjoyed watching and learning. Thank you!
Thank you so much for teaching use everything from start to finish. My son recently gave me my first ever beautiful amaryllis
Great video with excellent explanation to anyone who has little or no knowledge of caring for these beautiful flowers.
I wonder how manly ppl receive them as gifts and throw them out after blooming, not knowing that they are a gift that keeps on giving.
Oh my word… what glorious plants.
I just bought a Red Lion Amaryllis at Lowes..hope to see her bloom soon..ive learned a lot by watching your video..Thanks!
What a great video on Amaryllis. I live in South Africa and mine bloom in the spring/summer. I have always wondered what to do with them after the sensational blooming and growing season. You really explained it so well and are clearly passionate about this beautiful flower. Thank you.
I'd be interested in knowing your tips for "long term" after-bloom care , including how to keep the bulb from shrinking drastically year after year.
I’ve heard that eventually the bulb is just spent. Hopefully you get off shoots that can be grown on but the original bulb needs to be pitched after a while. I’ve also heard differing opinions of whether they need to be fertilized. Mine did not rebloom last year so this year I gave them a lot of slow release fertilizer and repotted them when I brought them out of dormancy. But the bulbs are massive now.
Thank you i am now getting into planting .so am going to follow ur advise...only thing is we dont have winter ..
Omg those are GORGEOUS 😍
It was such a pleasure Sat morning. I’m going to dig some and plant Ito pots. Arigatou!
Thanks for the information. This is my first year to try to get my bulbs to bloom again. Hope it works.
Thank you so much !! Your tips are so helpful. I really appreciate your site - keep up the good work.
wow its beautiful! thanks for sharing your videos some of my amaryllis did not bloom. I just leave it outside.
Thank you very much I’m very interested because I also love Amaryllis.I like to keep them and have them bloom the following season.
I'm from the Netherlands. A lot of amaryllis bulbs are cold treated and then put in a warmer room so they bloom earlier and for christmas or just after. We have big glasshouses for this. you can allready get tulips/irises now here if you look for it.
this was an awesome and very clear explanation on to care for my plant before, during and after blooms. This is my first year owning an amaryllis and I am loving it, its so beautiful. fingers crossed that I will have success taking care of it properly and it will rebloom for me. Right now I am just enjoying it. :). Thank you and Happy New Year!
