Thanks so much for all the great info and “how to” on getting started across all your videos. Have been doing euro mounts the past couple years and really wanting to add to them . Thanks again 👍
Awesome instructions Hunter👍🏻 I was in a gift shop last week in Jackson Wyoming and they had buffalo skulls bronzed and coppered up like your showing here. Great work!!
You mentioned carving but didn’t say if you carved before or after the rust treatment. Looking at the end of your video with some examples, it looks like you carved before. What if you armed after? Have you tried that?
Man I really like your videos! Very informative! Thank you for what you do. We have bought the stuff to get started! I have to ask if you can do a bronze skull? We are looking into a cold metal coating, but wanted to get your opinion on it!
Thanks man! That's great, let me know how it goes. yeah man I have a video planned for that just getting some stuff worked out so keep your eyes out for it! Thanks for watching!
great video. i tried you method. how long does it take to rust that great orange color. its been about a week and starting to rust (deer skull) any other info would be great.....thank you again for sharing.....
Hey Nacole! It should only take about a day. If its not resting as much as you want get some steel wool and wet it with the activator and lightly buff the surface. That will expose the powder and let it oxidize better.
So simply use a black spray paint. Spray it up into the nasal cavity real good and immediately while it is still wet pour/sprinkle the iron dust in so that it sticks to the wet paint. And then you can add the activator.
Great video Bro ! I like your energy and your mood, really well explained. Thank you so much for the shot out Hunter, i really appreciate. Greatings from Italy. Btw the man cave skull is nuts 🤘🏻
Hey! Yes, coffee gives a lighter stain which is nice. I have not had very much luck with tea, just doesn't seem to be strong enough to stain the skull in most cases.

inspired to try this and got what you used and applied activater when wet and it didn’t rust, i’m wondering did i do something wrong?
Amaizing! Thanks for the Share!
You bet! Thanks for watching!
Great vid! Always wondered how some people make it seem like it’s a different material. How do you do an aged bronze look?
Thanks! Bronzing is very similar to the rust finish. I will be having a video on that coming out soon :)

@@usskullhunter ok thanks i will try that...have a blessed day.
I was wanting to do this a mule deer skull I have, how would you recommend painting the metal in the nasal cavity without damaging the skull?
So simply use a black spray paint. Spray it up into the nasal cavity real good and immediately while it is still wet pour/sprinkle the iron dust in so that it sticks to the wet paint. And then you can add the activator.
Any thoughts on primering the skull 1st ?
Hey Jeremy! Yes, you can absolutely add primer on first.
Just found this and love it. Sub!
Thank you Danial! If I can ever be any help just let me know!
Is there a salt water ratio that works as a activator best?
about 1/4 salt for a cup of water is good.
Hello! For you is also great to paint white a skull becouse the color is a mess ?
Becouse I’ve made a swordfish skull and the color is a mess
@@alessandromosca779 Yes you could. I would say though that you would need to make sure the skull was fully degreased first.
U.S. Skull Hunter yes thank you

podrías activar los subtítulos en español?
gracias 👍👍👍👍
Puedo tratar!
Hunter are you doing anything after it has rusted to stop the reaction? Are you then costing with anything, like a clear coat?
Yeah so you can add a clear coat. In the description of the video I shared a link to a matte clear coat i use.
I bet it would look awesome if you carve into the skull after the rust. Dirty old looking rust with clean white showing thru.
Yeah man that would look great! Thanks for watching :)
Have you tried coffee or tea?
