Thank you so much! I tried the patina on one of my skulls after the metal coating had dried and it just slid right off, I couldn’t figure out what I did wrong, this helps so much!
Great looking finish. I would have finished cleaning the dried membrane in the nose cavity and in front of the eyes. It takes longer but looks so much more finished and complete.
Awesome video and work, bro! Will be following from here. Expect questions and comments! I have several deer skulls to work, and now a bobcat that i think is getting a metal finish. I loved the full jaw you did, that's what made me think about the cat. Keep up the great work!

Hey! Just finding your work. Love it! Do you have some different examples of metal paints with other color patina? I'm hoping for a "black cherry" look
Hey Hunter! Your videos are so helpful! You will never know how much you have taught me. Thank you isn’t enough. Quick question for ya. Using this technique would you carve the design on the skull before or after the metal paint To make the design stand out more how would it look to avoid the patina in the area of the carving ? Thanks again!
Stellar video! Any reason you couldn't/shouldn't just use the spray can primer for the whole thing as opposed to just for touch ups/hard to reach spots?
Hey Hunter, great video! I will Be placing an order using your links. What other colors, patinas and wax combinations do you recommend other than the copper and green?
Hello sir. I am currently in the process of trying my first skull based off this video. So far, so good. I'd love to know what method or how you did the on you have in the background of this video. ? Thank you for your time
Hey! That's great to hear. It is actually the same finish as shown in the video. The finish can very depending on how much you apply, how wet the paint is etc. Let me know how it turns out!
Would you mind sharing if there is a paint or finish you use as a base and final finish in order to help keep the skull better preserved from aging? I’ve heard polycrylic ?
Amazing video! Thanks for the great info! One quick question, did you put the patina on just as it came in the bottle or did you dilute it at all? Thanks!
How many skulls can you do with the small 8oz can of metal paint? Wanting to play around with the different metals. Thanks looks great. Appreciate you sharing this.
Thanks for all your knowledge Hunter. You’ve made my searches for product a heck of a lot easier and your finish work looks top notch. Can I ask where you get your dust mask/respirator with the mouth piece and nose clamp? Also with the type C metal, do you just calculate out how much catalyst and hardener to use each time you do a project? I assume you don’t want to add everything to the can if you’re not going to use it all at that time.
You bet Jeff, glad I can help. It is a Resp-O-Rator Jr 100, highly recommend it! Yes, so you just kinda measure out your best guesstimate and it still works fine.

Been checking out all your stuff over the last few days. Awesome work. I really appreciate the time you invest in documenting all these processes. Question, have you tried any other primers other than S.N's primer? Wondering if something out of a spray can would be suitable? Thanks again.
Thanks again Jason! So yes, pretty much any good quality primer will work. I like to keep the same brand for the entire project but really any primer will do.
I just did a copper skull with the Tiffany patina, had a couple touch ups to do... did so but after putting a little more of the same patina on it turned really green. Almost like a jade green... is there any way to come back from this? Please help. Also really really love your work!!!! Thank you for everything you put out, it's awesome!!!

Hey Mario! Sorry for the delay, let me know if this is what you were thinking of ua-cam.com/video/0Rj_BkICsfU/v-deo.html
If I didn’t put the patina on it would it keep the brown color
Yes. Now, you might want to add a black wax to dull it down a bit but yes.
Have or can you use the wax and patina in conjunction? Example' you do a green patina over copper finish and then age with wax?
You inspired me to try this! Which coating did you use B or C? I am going to order as soon as you respond. :0. which one is easier/better looking?
Glad you like the metal coats, I love them as well. The B is easier to use but like I said in the other comment I use both.
With the green wax will i get a similar look as the green patina?
Similar yes, but not exactly like the reactive patina. But still nice.
