  • My last ballet sequence with Keet, the killer whale at Sea World San Antonio. What an amazing journey that I had and I feel so blessed to be a part of the Sea World family for 14 years plus. Thank you!

Since you worked with these amazing creatures would you say that they can feel and understand the emotions you feel towards them?

As trainers, we would observe a ton. We would go out and watch the dynamics of how they interacted with one another. We had too. And we always had to go with our gut if something felt off.

Still amazing and beautiful. Those trainers must be heartbroken that they can’t do this any longer.

Not as heartbroken as every traumatized and mistreated orca (by way of the captive conditions they were subjected to) that was ripped away from their family…..I don’t blame the trainers, but these majestic and brilliant creatures deserve better than a life in captivity. When will we learn that humans are not the only sentient beings on Earth?

@@SilentHonor2012 Most of these were born in captivity. They have a whale family right there living with them, they are not alone. How do you know that they are unhappy? They are busy and stimulated, have a great diet and health care. They are hardly being abused.! Our dogs and cats are “in captivity” - some even live in city apartments! Is that wrong too? Animals are not people. They are not our equals.

@@jenniferhorstmann2279 You are correct - animals are not our equal. They are far superior to us in so many ways. Animals that have been domesticated for thousands of years and have become companions of humans cannot be compared with animals that cannot exist happily in any other environment, but that which they were meant for. Thousands of studies support this.

At leat the breeding programme has ended sad for the poor animals still there but they will at very least be the last of their kind to live this life of torment

I saw that you asked me why I left. I did everything that I could have ever dreamed of doing. Working with sea lions, beluga whales, dolphins to killer whales. It was time to move on to another chapter in my life. 🦋 But I will NEVER lose the love of the ocean and marine mammals. NEVER! 🐳🐋🐢🌊❤️

Incredible relationship between the orca and the trainer. However, I don't agree with orcas living in captivity for entertainment purposes.
