more guns, more customisation, more personalisation, more loot, more interactions with npcs and backstories. Honestly undead labs has always had the most carefully crafted maps in any survival game so i wouldnt know how to make it even better
I would like to see Bases that can expand to fit the size of your community and a much larger community limit cap. And please generate all community members in the base!

I like your 5 Ideas. I think in addition to being able to build bases anyplace, I think we should be able to post Community members at outposts. Better stories is a must. I would also like those characters stories to drive more activities in a player thru rather than a 5 minute side mission (Aunt Prepper, Eagle Eye, etc..). Dynamic weather.. so if it is winter or raining, etc... do zombies behave differently? And would health be affected if your characters were not wearing a coat, e.g.? I do like this idea. Enhanced character models... totally agree. There needs to characters who have long term health issues, who maybe stay at the bases only... or older more infirm characters. Solo mode... i think they will accommodate this. I think in Dredd mode and above, resources should be truly more scarce. There should be more ability to call for help or to truly ally with other groups who have real bases (not just a barrel with a fire going). I hope there are more zombie "types", as well, esp for blood plague zombies.

I’ve always thought that you should be able to post a survivor at an outpost and that would prevent infestations in that area, also, to use that survivor you must drive there and switch out- a bit more realistic than spawning in whoever you want. Interesting points you make about the weather, clothing, and weak/sickly/elderly survivors!
I get your point with the character creation but to me it gets samey eventually when there are only a limited amount of characters you can find I think character creation can broaden the gap to make the game better cause i used to like finding new characters out in the world in sod2 but it's very dumb to see the same model again just after recruiting them haha and I think the customization should only be for your character and all the others you find are ai generated if that makes sense
Good analysis sauce. I'd like to add organic plague hearts if they use them for sod3. By that i mean they aren't just there on the map. There should be something that creates a plague heart, ie a group of infestations becomes a plague heart.
Base building definitely needs to move away from the slot system. There will probably still be fixed base locations but in those locations you need to be able to build freely. MORE IMPORTANTLY, bases need to actually be useful. In SoD 2 you just need an infirmary and beds (and even those are debatable). Unless you're playing in some kind of forever community, the game will be over before you ever actually need any of your buildings.

I HIGHLY doubt building your base anywhere will be possible, but if they haven't moved on from the restrictive slot system this game is going to be dead on arrival.
They need a better inventory system. Be able to hold more stuff and not have your ammo take up an inventory slot. And be able to utilize the vehicles for more storage space as well. Be able to put stuff in the back seat of cars and for trucks have more space in the bed of it. Basically able to hold more stuff.
I personally would love to see a Red Dead Online type world. Dynamic weather, lush and harsh environments, bases that are 100% customizable and that you can pick any unoccupied building. Some sort of revamped money system. 100% customization on any vehicle in game. An environment you can customize, like if cars or junk is in the street, you can move it. Nothing too major😂
maybe... interactive doodads/terrain? like destructible bridges, etc, but can be repaired. something like company of heroes' way of being able to destroy bridges and repair them

I agree with you!! Hopefully, they can add new zombies besides the zombies we all already know. Some harder zombies that come at night for harder levels.
I would love to see a helicopter that players could fly, a bit like in gta vice City, but hard to unlock so you really feel like you have achieved something if you managed to access it
On top of your list which I find great, I would add... Bring back window barricading from the first game and add door barricades as well. Better, more realistic zombie spawns. Zombies/hordes spawning on top of you is frustrating and breaks immersion especially after making loud noises. Left or right handed characters. Why was everyone left handed with melee weapons and right handed with firearms??? Special vehicles such as construction, motorcycles and hopefully a flying one! Little details... Let our firearms stay out and be visible in characters hands for some time the way melee weapons work after use. Filling up vehicles with gas cans actually shows characters holding a gas can instead of magic hands. Same with repairing engines, tool kit in hand.
i would like a camera like the resident evil games. Like super grounded at times super horror-like. Also bikini skins and character models like in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game

I am all about combat and realism. I want to get sucked into the world. So I would like better control over my character instead of the clunkiness of SoD2. Also, I would like the base building to be more intuitive and with a lot more options. Maybe I find 2 buildings that I would like to link together for a large base? Why cant I build a fence between them or a covered walkway so I can go between them in safety? And why did my brother have to pull someone from his community in order to play with me in coop instead of just playing as someone in my own community? Its not like we would be in separate communities if something like an apocalypse happened in RL, we would be fighting and surviving together, so let us play that way if we want to. Also, I would like to see the world become much more lethal. Perhaps the infection has grown completely out of hand to the point that there is no stopping it and we are just trying to survive as long as possible. I liked the idea of spores that you can't breathe from the Last of Us games and adding something similar that requires a gas mask would certainly add more danger and help give the feeling of dread to the player. They did show that the infection has spread in the trailer and having it actually spread during gameplay would be really cool. If the player doesn't fight it back, then it would take over the map completely given enough time. And last, I really want to be able to choose exactly what parts of the difficulty to amp up or lessen when making a game. I really wanted to do that in SoD2 but the sliders they provided were way too catch all for me. I definitely wanted a ton of plague hearts but I didn't want all the other stuff that came with that slider like the infection being super accelerated which was basically an automatic death sentence if you were too far from your base.
so you want it to be sunny and clear all the time? Idk rain and lightning would look sick af in this game. IF undead can properly make it happen cause rain in many games often just makes the game lag like crazy.
Im a huge base building fan being able to build anything and place them wherever and not certain spots would be elite

You are probably right. After a while we’ve seen all the survivors and models there are to see.
80% of the time you're fighting zombies, so better ways of handling them or deeper combat would be nice
