Unique account - never just speed but beauty of tone, colouring and shading of dynamics. True virtuosity.
He plays these studies -- not as bombastic, death defying feats of pianistic prowess by which a player proves his mettle -- but with a certain delicacy, much nobility and grace. These are musical expressions full of character, unique insight and aristocratic elegance. A virtuoso second to none, but more than that a MUSICIAN.
Cherkassky weaving his unique mercurial magic. He represented a past golden age of mid-20th Century pianism.
Beautiful, original, witty and poetic! (a bit of J. Hoffmann's spirit still alive in Shura's playing...)
Bravissimo. Grazieeee... ❤
That was breathtaking...
Marvellous. Ful stop!
@loboris1995 can't you recognize one of the best pianist ever lived?! D:
Beautiful music
When you are heavily in love with your dearly beloved.
Just Beauty.

Sympa... un grand coloriste dans l'histoire du piano. Et bien éloigné du "broyeur d'ivoire" - dommage pour la prise de son qui ne suivait pas à l'époque...
