Hey, I did everything exactly like you said but my laptop won’t turn back on now
I noticed the connecter for the battery, like the little wires seemed a bit silver after I put it back in, is it possible I messed up the battery?
@@abigailfrost4099 You should be able to turn it on with power cable connected regardless you have a battery or not.

Hi John, I have the same laptop and have just fitted 2x32gb DDR4 3200mhz Kingston Fury RAM and can report its working a treat. Make sure it’s the 3200mhz version bud I found that out through a bit of Googling 👍

@@RyanYu yeah something is wrong. Had to take out the RAM, then it booted up fine . Put it back in, and black screen again. I'm using the one Crucial suggested, from their site. Onky thing I can think is that it doesn't exactly match the 8gb ram the laptop came with. Maybe I'll have to buy two matching 8 GB :/

actually you missed something, those gray strips on the old RAM are not placed there for nothing, they are for cooling and it is advisable even in the service manual (if you change the RAM) to have them on the new chips... according to Asus - those will help for lower RAM temps.... btw you can just buy 32GB version if you need that much.. i have just mine and I`m upgrading it to 64GB - in the spec sheet it says it will support 32GB, but you can actually install 64GB with no issues, just don`t buy RAM that require intel xmp profile (anything that require 1.35V and intel XMP will not work as intended... example - Crucial Ballistix 3200 1.35v and Mushkin Red Line 3200 1.35V will work only at 2600, any 1.2V option will be fine)... I have chosen kingston hyper impact 64GB kit on 3200 MHz for myself cos at the moment that is the top choice for 64GB with CL20 and it works like a charm,
Corsair, Mushkin and Samsung also have 3200 with CL22 and are still top choice... but please just DON`T forget to move the heatsink to the new RAM :) in long term it will increase the lifespan of your RAM as you will get lower temps

Unplug the power cable, then plug in the power cable, press and hold power button for 10 seconds, then try it.
@@RyanYu I tried that cuz I saw that solution on some forum but it didn’t do anything :( Two of the little wires for the battery connection have silver showing so I think I messed up the battery 🪫 I ordered a new one so hopefully that’s the answer otherwise I’m just gonna take it to one of those computer shops ig

@@RyanYu it’s not working, is it possible that some of the wires connecting the connector to the battery could’ve been messed up when I was pulling the connector from the it’s spot

which ram stick should I buy. I have an 8GB version of it and I want to upgrade to 16GB. I would want to buy the same as in the laptop so they work perfectly fine together. I have the Asus F15 i5 rtx3050 (2021)

Nope. Make sure you have two identical rams.

Try to switch the ram around to the slots.

You mean the cable? there is a little lock you need to push.

If i bought an 16 Gb RAM with same 3200 Mhz but not the same brand and i have the 8 Gb one in my laptop, can i use it with 24 Gb or i have to remove the plate with 8 Gb and let just that plate with 16 Gb?

@@RyanYu ive done a bit of research on it and people are saying that 16 gb will run in duel channel and 8 gb will run in single channel. but ill find out later on today when my ram comes in the mail lol.

Hello. I've upgraded RAM with the same RAM. It was 1x8 gb 3200 MHz from factory, but my i5 10300H CPU supports 2933 MHz. They said it will support another 3200 MHz. I did it, but FPS drop happens. There is no XMP profile in BIOS. What can I do?

@@RyanYu yes, I had Kingston 3200 same CL, but blue screen happened 3-4 times in a day. Then replaced same serial number Samsung, it has FPS drop in CS GO, Valorant, Dota 2, CarX Drift online. Other games are not problem. In Task Manager, it shows still 2933 MHz RAMs (2x8gb)

16 is enough....I'm using tuf15...I'm goin to upgrade my ram to 16..(adding a 8gb.means usable 13+)...thing is u don't hav to increase more ram cuz we both hav the same GPU 1650..which is quite mid..if u own RTX u can go for higher ram

Does it Support only the Crucial Company RAM ? Cause I tried the correct config SAMSUNG ram and it was not booting up with those, tried 8 GB / 16 GB, single, double but it didn't boot up with it. Any one have any ideas about this ?
