    I'd like to share my experince with boosting. I believe, there's no real difference between commecial booster and baby oil. I've been personally using H3 commercial version (not neo) for a while, after boosting with 2 thin layers of Johnson&Johnson baby oil, and it feels absolutely like H3 Neo version after unpacking. As well, I used to boost H3 Neo (commercial) additionally and H8-mid and H8-hard and can approve that baby oil works for a long time. The oil doesn't vaporize unlike speed glue, so that the rubber stay curved for months. Well, I've never used Provincial or National version of Hurricane (I don't think I play as brilliantly), hence I could suppose, those kinds of rubbers might require better booster or something like that, but for commercial hurricanes and skylines baby oil is just good.

      I had the Same experience with salad-oil :D After 1 or 2 years I removed two hurricane 8 from a Blade: one was additional tuned with Salad-oil… This rubber didn‘t curl up like the second unboosted… It will take longer time to boost and maybe the effect isn‘t as strong as real booster, but the booster didn‘t vaporized at all👌

    How does a boosted H3 compare to a boosted H3 neo? Is there a difference? I think Neo is factory tuned (boosted in factory). It make sense to buy the neo, if you don't bother boosting but what is the point of getting the neo version if you are boosting it anyways?

    Man, my H3 was an absolute crap. Hard (39°), bouncy (despite it's tackiness) and unpredictable. Both oiled and not.
    BTW, they say that the harder rubber, the less bounce and more control and spin. Does that mean if I took the 41° version, it'd be less bouncy?

    • @MLFMTableTennis
      @MLFMTableTennis  4 роки тому

      Yes, if u try 41 degree version, it'll so tacky, so hard, less bounce, hard to play, take you more energy but u can control the ball and spin better, produce better quality shot 🏓

    Some youtube videos made me purchase a DHS H3 NEO in the first place . But the rubber is setting on my desk from yesterday and I am afraid to give a try . Some people said do it and it will work . some said 2 layers of baby oil are too much and it will make the topsheet separates from sponge and Some said any amount of baby oil will ruin the rubber. Also it is cold now in my area and I am wondering leaving the rubber 8hrs to dry will be enough or not ? Hope to have your advises. Thanks

      I use H3 neo on my Zhang Jike ALC. It performs quite good, but only if you know how to use a chinese hard tacky rubber. Zhang Jike ALC has good feeling and speed, and H3 neo makes every single topspin very spinny. notice that I use it without booster so it'll be different feeling.
      Compared to tensor rubbers, H3 neo is slow, but it lets me hit the ball harder. Also notice that my backhand rubber is a Donic bluefire M2, and it makes H3 neo more bouncy.

    • @nn0424
      @nn0424 2 роки тому

      The true recipe is to try your own methods . This is what I did and worked for me.
      1. Tried it out with no booster to get a feel for it.
      2. Removed and put 1 thin layer of baby oil on. Then tried again. It still felt slow for me.
      3. Removed and tried a second layer of baby oil. Tried again and started to feel fitting my game.
      After my experience trial and error, I now boost 2 layers of baby oil directly onto the new rubbers. The baby oil last the longest compared to any other boosters out there. I normally replace 1 rubber every year and I only have to boost one time for every new rubber.
      Adding PS: the key of boosting the Chinese rubbers is to make the sponges softer so the ball can sink into the blade to go out faster. Therefore the number of layers of oil you put on depending on which blade you use. Also I recommended to wait at least 12 hours between each layer of oil. The last layer I wait after 24 hours or longer before I glue it on the blade.

    Chinese rubbers are for Chinese only. Best for attack, worst for defence. In order to get their potential you must have perfect footwork, technique, hips, waist an also committed to hit at full power all the time. Stay away lazy players or all-rounders based on blocking game.
