I really think people getting mad over Lego releasing older figures with a little bit of changes with updated prints is completely stupid. Can’t we give people the chance to get older figures without having to pay hundreds of dollars, I’m a new Star Wars fan and I just started collecting the theme and these sets are amazing for me
The problem isn't that they are putting these figures in cheaper sets and nobody is mad at that. The problem is nobody wants mechs, and they don't fit in the star wars universe and lego knows that. So in order to sell them they are putting these good figures they know people really want in these mech sets in order to sell way more than what they would sell if they had basic figures in them that you could get in another cheaper set. It will inflate the sales of these sets and they will continue to sell them. Instead, people would rather cheap minifigure packs with 1 of these minifigures, 2 more minifigures and a small build for the same price. I'm sure you would rather that too. And most lego fans hate hearing "who cares, at least we're getting these minifigures in a cheap set." It tells lego that it's fine to make these sets instead of doing what they should do for their fans that spend a ton money on lego. Plus this is better for them bc they only give 1 minifigure and a build that nobody wants for 16 dollars. The minifigure packs were 1 dollar cheaper, came with 2 extra minifigures and a small build that actually fits with star wars and that fans want. People want these minifigures for cheaper like you said and instead of putting them in a good build that fits them or a minifigure pack, they give us mechs which nobody wants. I really think people settling for a terrible mech, that if it had a minifigure you see all the time and was in a bunch of sets, from cheap to expensive ones, that nobody would want, but bc it has a good minifigure are fine with is completely stupid. Can't we hold lego to higher standards and demand better?
@@johnnybaxter1953 the mech is cheap. I like the small mechs because you can make it into whatever. I used the tiny red Ninjago mech and turned it into a large iron man hulk buster suit. The mechs inspire creativity
I’m glad they r releasing the minifigs in the mechs other than the stormtrooper because boba and Vader are usually in more expensive sets and I kinda hope they continue this because tbh I could probably just sell the peices and keep the minifig
Stormtrooper is the best looking. These sets are designed for legos target Audience. Kids who don’t care about if a set is in universe Star Wars or not. All the teens and young adults are complains about a kids toy. That’s extremely sad. No wonder we have mass shooters. Thin the beard of idiots.
I feel if these collectors that only care about the value of their figure don't really care about the character or the franchise. So to me, their opinion immediately goes in the trash. For me, I'm HAPPY there's a cheaper alternative to the UCS Boba Fett. Like many others, Boba Fett is my favorite character and all I want is a highly detailed top notch figure of him, but I can't shell out a hundred dollars for him. And this makes me extra happy because this allows other fans of the character to get this highly detailed figure as well. So my personal message to the people that are obsessed over the value of their figures is, Stay Mad.

If these mechs had figures that were in a ton of other sets, nobody would want them and then lego wouldn't make them again. Now lego will continue them bc people will buy them strictly bc of the minifigures in them. Me and a ton of lego fans would rather a good lego build that fits better with the minifigures or a minifigure pack. Mechs are terrible. Just bc they have good minifigures in them doesn't mean we should just accept them and be happy with them. We can acknowledge the minifigure is great while also acknowledging and letting lego know we don't want these mechs, they don't belong here and don't make them again for star wars. Just imagine how much better it would have been if they put all 3 of these minifigures in a minifigure pack with a small build. They could have charged 20 or 25 dollars and everybody would have been way more excited about that. What would have been best though, would have been to have 3 minifigure packs, each with 1 of these minifigures and 2 other generic minifigures and a small build for 15 dollars. 16 dollar mechs are terrible no matter how good the minifigure is.
I didn’t personally buy one but I don’t think it’s cringey that someone who bought a ucs boba for 120 bucks is pissed that the same figure is gonna be 15 dollars
