I don't own a Slave1, I fell out of Lego for years while building Gunpla instead. Now, being back into it. I want a Slave1. With the extreme inflation of the previous sets. And my limited space, the new 2021 version is going to be what I end up getting. Personally I think it looks great for it's scale, and will look good displayed next to the Mandolorian fighter.
Honestly, this. UCS sets look fantastic but there's no way I'm fitting them in my flat. I'd rather buy a bunch of small different sets that might look worse but are cheaper and smaller so that I can display a bunch of different stuff rather than one massive big fuck off falcon or slave 1 or x wing :D
I have similar thought as well. I think this will scale great with the newer 2021 sets, it would fit perfectly next to the havoc marauder or the mando starfighter. Now I just hope we get a new Razorcrest in this mid-scale. I like the cheaper price and the smaller size of these mid-scale ships, I can fit a few on a shelf.
@@vinceguy1464 I don’t think we’d get a mid scale Razor Crest. Hmm the 20th anniversary variant retailed for $120 and had a little over 1,000 pieces. The most recent Slave 1 costs $50 and has 593 pieces. Yes, i am aware that the 20th anniversary variant has a better figure selection but just comparing the ships, the latest edition is better. Plus it’s on sale for $40 USD rn so I think it’s worth picking up. Unless you got the $240 for the other previous version.
The 20th anniversary one is the best of both worlds. I personally own it and it's perfect in size and detail compared to the standard scale of most Lego Star Wars ships
David: "New in box UCS Slave 1's go for about 500 to 600 dollars," I got one Sealed unopened in actually the original shipped LEGO package box for $300 last year. I guess the seller really didn't know the value of the set.
That was still a steal at the time, but the price has gone up tremendously in the past year because of the Boba’s appearance in Mando season 2 and the upcoming Book of Boba Fett show
I've always wanted to own a Fetts ship set, the 20th anniversary set was pretty perfect but I didn't have the money or space at that time. Definitely picking up the new small one, though I wish the windshield(voidshield?) was something that better resembles the source material. And then I can hope for another, more proper scale version in the next few years, especially with the Boba Fett solo series.
I had the first edition of the lego slave 1 (7144) and it's the same size as the last version (75312) but it's more simple and square shape with bad colors but i liked it.

‘’R2 we need to be going up! Not down”
Umm ackshually, 2021 would be the most accurate regarding the cockpit seat not rotating. In the mandalorian we see that the cargo hold rotates with the ship, but in AOTC we see jango and boba climb into the seats in the cockpit in a horizontal position that stays stationary as it takes off lol
The one from 2015 is a black series but I have the 2019 and it is sad to see it getting smaller
The 20th anniversary one is the best of both worlds. I personally own it and it's perfect in size and detail compared to the standard scale of most Lego Star Wars ships
It would be very good a comparison of the light cruiser with the star destroyer of 2015 and why not with the one of the first order.
David: "New in box UCS Slave 1's go for about 500 to 600 dollars," I got one Sealed unopened in actually the original shipped LEGO package box for $300 last year. I guess the seller really didn't know the value of the set.
That was still a steal at the time, but the price has gone up tremendously in the past year because of the Boba’s appearance in Mando season 2 and the upcoming Book of Boba Fett show
@@riley8099 that’s why I got the Boba Fett from the set in display case in perfect condition.
@@ejsparrow1285 awesome
I've always wanted to own a Fetts ship set, the 20th anniversary set was pretty perfect but I didn't have the money or space at that time. Definitely picking up the new small one, though I wish the windshield(voidshield?) was something that better resembles the source material. And then I can hope for another, more proper scale version in the next few years, especially with the Boba Fett solo series.
I had the first edition of the lego slave 1 (7144) and it's the same size as the last version (75312) but it's more simple and square shape with bad colors but i liked it.
Are you sure han solo and the carbonite han solo aren't inside the UCS Slave I? My guard and stormtrooper are in a box too but Han has a little place under the door
Disney films near a Chinese labor camp and thanks them in Mulan credits. Tries to change starwars names.
Your favourite shirt as you wash it over the years :
Ayy you can even see the 2045 version of boba fett starship right next to the 2021!
What about the 8097 Slave 1 that came with Boba, Boskk, Han, and Han Carbonite?
I love my Anniversary version of the Slave 1/ Firespray. I had the Kenner version of this ship too as a kid. The handle is a brilliant idea.....But and a big But too. If that handle works itself loose and pops out. Your rebuilidng the whole model again. I think it is the best version in my opinion of the ship for value for money. However I was dismissive of the latest version until I saw one at my local Lego store and it is really decent for its size. I might get one for me its a not necessary but nice to have. But for anyone who don't have this ship its a decent worthy buy.
Got the 2019 Slave 1 last year on Amazon for like I think it was 90 or 100 bucks. Absolutely worth it.
Interesting to see that the 2006 version is still the best regarding shape and color
We need! And want! Scale accurate models to mini figs
