No matter what anyone says, There is no factory warranty after you modified it with a tune or upgrade of any parts. Guaranteed
That's the only thing guaranteed
Thats correct, even a catch can or secondary fuel filter voids warranty. However not difficult to fit parts back and return factory file back in before going in to retain warranty
That's correct too. However I'm sure a workshop isn't going to drop everything and slot someone straight in to get that work done to bring back to standard for a warranty claim. And then imagine if I was on the west coast and had my work done with a workshop on the east or visa versa. So please don't make it sound all that easy. You guys do do great work @justautos. But I know from experience that it's a massive gamble when we start playing with upgrades and mods on our new vehicles that are still under warranty and the customer MUST be informed of all the risks before they agree to the mods. Just saying 😊
You need to be booked in for any warranty work with Toyota so we make sure we find time to return it back to factory before its booked in. It is pretty simple, customer keeps the parts we take off so get someone to fit the parts and send the ECU in a post bag and we can put the factory file back in and send it back. We do inform customers and make them well aware. They MUST sign a form accepting the terms before any work is carried out. Just saying 😉@@troopy7834
@JustAutosMechanical The average private owner would have to think about the possible effect of the gamble. It probably won't take long for Toyota to mark a few components if they have a hunch the owner is playing swapisy It won't affect the tuner, he has the money in the pocket and is away scot free.
Need to do something about the under bonnet temperatures mine spits it when towing in the heat when under load. Has dne it four times that hot Vee needs to be cooled down.
We have its our heat exchanger kit that is available facebook.com/justautosmechanical/videos/1582536418880374
Do these modifications effect the factory warranty?
It actually extends the Toyota warranty
Have you looked into an “interchiller”?
We have a front mounted water to air heat exchanger kit, interchillers are more for LS applications etc
@@JustAutosMechanical Mostly used on LS yeah, and a good handful of mercs, falcons and some 2500hp lambos in America but the principle is the same. You can get the water using the AC system colder than the air going through the heat exchanger.. Just wondering why the 4wd industry hasn’t jumped on it yet!
