Now this girl can sketch!! I finally feel like I have an idea of what it looks/feels like in that courtroom. Whoever the state hired has left a LOT to be desired. Ty for this.
I believe East Idaho News, along with perhaps a few other media outlets, hired the other sketch artist. I do not believe it had anything to do with the state, court, prosecution.
Hire the lady, guys! First time I feel I've caught a glimpse of the courtroom. It'a pretty sad the work of the sketch artist paid by the media so far is ridiculous. Nate said they pay her a pretty penny. Susan Bin should be getting paid for her amazing work.
I think she will be getting some paid jobs in the future from her work here!! Not that there’s a lot of trials that have cameras banned.. this artist depicts emotions unlike the other artist and I can easily identify the people which isn’t always easy with the other artist’s drawings.
Susan! You are so talented! I love your art work & helping understand the courtroom setup❣ You should be the Offical Sketch Artist for this trial❣ I hope that you are getting noticed for your work & lots of luck in your future🤗
You are doing a great job! I thank you from all of us who would like to be there and be the eyes of those of us who want to see justice for JJ, Tylee, Charles and Tammy!!
I appreciate her drawings with the range of motions… I could hardly draw a picture and make it recognizable and this girl is quickly drawing multiple emotions in a short time! She’s really talented!
This girl catches the mood of the courtroom. I wish it was live but I can actually visualise it in reality from these incredible lifelike sketches. I hope your sketches are noted and o e day soon you will be the hired sketch artist.
Amazing sketches with so much detail, and it's so nice that I can actually recognize people through your art! Hope your schedule allows for many more sketches of the trial!
Nice to hear your POV about your observations RE: Lori’s demeanor, keeping her face obscured w/ her hair, looking away, staring a grin at her sister, and also your front row seat view of the jurors looking towards Lori. We haven’t gotten a lot of detail from a neutral court observer. Great drawings, hope you’ll be able to make the verdict, for some more vivid drawings. TY, Susan Bin
As an artist myself I totally relate to you Susan - the way you look up when you’re talking/thinking because we are visual thinkers - I do that too! And just how you say things it could be me speaking. ❤
Isn’t she great!!! I love that she isn’t trying to make Lori look any better than she actually looks..and she included the Zebra pants 😂. Thanks to Judge Boyd’s no camera rule IT’s drawings of Lori and Zebra pants that will be all that’s out there for ever.
Just when you think nothing good can come from such an evil sequence of events, Wow! This is a great story and a very talented young lady! Thank you for sharing.
Susan you are extremely talented my dear!! You should be the sketch artist for this trial, hands down!! I sure hope this video gets you the exposure you deserve for your talent!! God Bless you!! 💖🙏
OMG FINALLY!! Someone who can actual draw the likeness of the people they are drawing! I dont want to be mean but so far the courtroom illustrations have been pretty... sub standard. Without cameras in the courtroom we have no idea what these people we are listening to on the recordings look like.. AND she captures so much emotion! I wish i had that kind of talent! Nice job Justin Lum! Great find!
Great job! Better than the other one I’ve seen! Amazing detail on emotion! I can’t imagine being so close to such an evil creature.. Lori is a monster in a human form
Justin and Congratulations to you and your Wife on Birth of your Beautiful Baby too! 🎉🎉🎉🎉Sunday will be my Granddaughter’s Birthday and what has happened here is just “unthinkable “!
Excellent interview. Thanks! I'm so glad I watched this, I love these pictures of the court room that have been sketched by this artist! :] Iv'e been pretty wrapped up in this case and it's good to see a visual of the courtroom and all the people, lawyers, judge, witnesses involved! Kudo's to Susan the artist, great job, thankyou!
I was disappointed this trial wasn't open for video to the public, so these sketches are really helpful to getting a picture of what it looks like there. Thank you Susan. Great sketching!
If I was hired to draw the courtroom during the trial , you would be lucky to see stick people. 😂 This talented young woman is doing a wonderful job of showing us a some of what's going on in the court. Brava!!❤❤❤😊
Thanks for sharing your art with us, we can feel the emotion in the courtroom and that's what makes your work very valuable to those of us who can't be there. Keep up with your talent, you are humble and that humility is also a wonderful quality!
Yes I've been wondering about the court artist I think she's brand-new in the venue. These are good they're like cartoons or a comic book kind of. It's obviously a really hard skill.
Dude, could your station hire her to stay? Can we keep her there? Go fund me for her or something! She's awesome and very talented. She's capturing what we all want to see in that courtroom!
so glad that somebody talented just decided to do these off her own initiative. The draughtsmanship, the mark-making, the atmosphere. Susan also captured all the moods of Lori Vallow, some of those very dark. I feel sorry for the person who has been doing the other ones, it's the fault of the hirer. Love Justin Lum's work too, such a great investigator
@@angieblove it’s asinine!! The judge is inexperienced and arrogant so he doesn’t want everyone to see him with his training wheels on.. I think he’s also doing it for the LDS Church because this makes the church look like crap.. if this was televised it would be on every new channel.. thanks to Boyce and LDS church almost nobody is covering it.
This just felt like a young quirky creative person's sound and speech. I didn't even notice any "you knows". I did notice the tension in her tone discussing moments with Lori and her compassion when she talked about her motivation. Susan's sketches not only show the person but captures their personality. Great depth.
Just a little more behind the scene information. In another case I served on a jury in this same courtroom. The room is quite large. One wall has a full bank of windows (behind the defense table). The room is very nice and attractive. The jury members have comfortable chairs and multiple viewing monitors which are about 20" set up in front of them. The door you see where the jury enters is just across the hall and down a few feet from the jury room. The hall is used for setting up the line of jurors in order before entering the courtroom. The jury room has windows that face the front of the court house (but not on the ground floor). The room has a short wall with cupboards where cell phones are placed. It has one bathroom. There is a refrigerator and I believe a micro wave (I didn't use it). The room is bright with a very sizable table surrounded with chairs.
This artist's style has depth of feeling. Each person and their personality is shown. Well done! The hired sketch artist's style is too cartoonish and at times I can't even recognize the players.
@@iffyangel3380 The reporters were saying that they chipped in to pay for the sketch artist they hired which was ridiculously expensive. I am betting they went with the most affordable option because at the beginning reporters were making excuses for her performance to commenters on videos. Really, in the beginning I didn't recognize any of the people she was trying to depict. Susan Bin is heads above the one hired which makes me wonder if Susan put in a bid. She said in this interview that she didn't believe that she would even be at the trial at first, so maybe she didn't apply? Too bad. She is terrific!
@@mtaylor7307 It's a shame they are paying her for that mess! Just look at what we are seeing now with Susans masterful work! I highly doubt Susan submitted her work for consideration. She would have gotten it hands down. Imho, it's political. That's the only reason I can see for not firing her immediately!!! I'm not being mean, but her sketches are pure garbage. She actually made a great looking man look like a troll!!! Poor Special Agent Daniels!!! 😢 If I hadn't recognized his voice I would have never guessed it was him!!!
@@iffyangel3380 Right I didn't recognize most of the witnesses. If you follow several channels you will notice they don't show or use those drawings often but are using kind of stock photos of Lori or the witnesses or the victims. It's a work-around.
These sketches are incredible. I finally feel like I can “see” what’s going on in the Ada county courtroom.
Love your sketches! They really do have a place in history. I am glad to learn about you. What a gift.
