This is cool, my friend... from fishing.... then my beloved wife cooks the starch, it tastes really good... savory, crispy and delicious

Great fishing day. I'm gonna try that recipe with a glass of white wine.

      Hi Doug,
It was really good and I think it will go great with a good white. I was expecting a stronger coconut flavor but it did have that hint of coconut and along with the batter really complemented the redfish.
      Thanks for watching 👍

Nice little catch and cook guys! Miss fishing in St. Augustine! But I'll be there soon enough when my bass charters start slowing down in May!

      Hi CC
Thank you! Spring is right around the corner and fishing will be firing up here soon. The water temp needs to come up a bit more and stop yo yoing up and down. I look forward to seeing you on the water down here. It's about time for the big uglies. 👍 Take care my friend.
      Tight lines 🤙

Thanks buddy! 👍 We really do have a beautiful area and a great diverse fishery. It will really heat up soon as Spring gets here. I am really wanting to stick my nose out beyond the Jetties and get some near shore/beach fishing in. Hope we run into each other out on the water soon.

@@NorthFloridaSaltwaterFishing I've been wanting to do that also. Never been able to go out on my own boat until now. If you are anything like me you enjoy fishing how you want to fish on your own boat, but maybe when it heats up and there are some fish outside the inlet we could exchange numbers and plan a day to both go out. I got a lot of confidence in my boat but you never know, maybe nice to have another vessel to contact and vice-versa just incase

@@904reelman5 Absolutely! When the water temp comes up some and the wind lays down we can meet at the Vilano ramp and head out. That will be a blast! 🤙

What is the water depth like up hospital creek, especially low tide, can you find yourself in the mud?

There is a channel that runs for the most part in the middle of the creek and varies in depth from 5' - 12' depending on where you are in the creek. The water along the shore across from The Cross gets less than 1' at low tide so give it a wide birth. Also along both shore lines past The Cross you have oyster beds that are out of the water at low tide and if the water clarity is off you can not see them at high tide without good polarized sunglasses.

One more thing I almost forgot do not cut corners entering the creek from the north side coming from the ramp or the south side coming from the Fort. Line yourself up in the middle coming in. If you cut the corner coming in you WILL run aground.
