I have been waiting so long for this video. It is a very impressive series to me and has inspired me to make an EDH league at my college. Thanks for all your hard work!
Before I moved, my lgs had tons of bulk rares like all of the stuff you're playing. It's weird recognising most of the cards you're playing with! You're bringing back fond memories, guys.
You guys did this at a great time this is my last day before navy basic where I can watch this and this is a great way to go out. Thanks for everything you guys do
Almost 7 years since this video was uploaded, I want to say thank you Stephen Green for inspiring me to build a Varolz deck after watching this vid. I will include some of the same cards you had in your decklist.
bounteous kirin - Stephen infernal kirin - Justin cloudhoof kirin - Jeremy skyfire kruin- Jon would love to see these kamigawa themed decks in s6, lots of flavour and each with an unique playing style
Idea for Randomness: If you haven't done partner commanders by then, you each get a random partner commander and you have to have a commander in common with the player to your left.
Hey guys, happy you're back for another season! Maybe you guys could play a flavor game from your favorite sets, or on your favorite commanders. Obviously you guys know a lot of the story so it would be neat to see the types of decks you would al make. Keep up the good work! #TeamParnell
I was legit surprised by the power level of the cards you all got to play. Sure, quality of life cards would have been nice, but when everyone is doing the same thing, you get to see a lot of cool cards get played that wouldn't show up otherwise. But jeez, that Omen Machine. Brutal. Always love to see the weird budget restrictions, please do more in the future!
I'm not sure if you guys take suggestions or anything like that, but there's one particular matchup that I've always wanted to see: Gahiji vs Edric vs Queen Marchesa vs Isperia, Supreme Judge, or really any combination of commanders that directly affect opponents/have a "don't attack me, attack them" feel. Unless you've already done such a Vs episode and I just missed it!
Around 1:26:50 Is There any reason for Jonathan Suarez not to draw a card for his turn? he should draw 3 from Orrey and 1 for his draw-step. Edit. Oh, they saw the turn after, Ok. ^^
A video I'd like to see is if one of you (or all, but I know you're busy), would run down your deck constructing techniques. I'm good with ratios in Standard decks, but Commander seems a lot more complicated with 100 cards interacting with each other; I think a little guide, or even just your own personal strategies would be interesting.
Man the "SPORTS" bit at the end had me laughing a bit too hard for being exactly midnight on a weekday. Oh, and I better see a Yahenni deck next week Justin! PS. #CMDRVS
A fun theme for the future would be all gold cards. Pick a 2+ color commander and every spell in the deck is a gold card. I do love the budget theme episodes as well.
TBH, those storage lands don't seem that bad. If you're curving out, sure, they're not ideal, but being able to stash mana like that in Commander definitely has potential.
Ben Green I tend to run them in my mono-color decks. Nobody ever gives me crap about it, either, because I also have uses for the stored mana. White: Rebels, and their recruit abilities Green: Elves, and Joraga Warcaller Blue and green: big creatures Black: Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief ('nuff said)
suggestion for an episode: Use legendary non creature artifacts as the "commanders." Lets you build around some really cool effects that are usually just cogs in the machine instead of the center piece. Maybe have one (or two) free color choice since most of those "commanders" would be colorless (but not all!). Or choose a commander that is associated with that artifact in some way and have them be "partner" commanders with the legendary artifact. Love the series, been watching since the McDarby days.
Please could one of you play with Hope of Ghirapur as commander? Would love to see what sort of deck comes out of that! Looking forward to next week! Keep it up!
are you guys going to be doing modified commander 2016 this season? You've done it for the past two and they've been enjoyable to watch with how you wanted to take each deck and would like to see the same with Commander 2016
Hi! Love the Show! watch it every week. I still feel that I have to leave you the following constructive critics: In this episode it seemed like there was a glare on the sleeves which was a little disturbing for the eye. Also I always have the impression that the footage is quit dark. My reflex is to always turn up screen brightness but then i realise that it is already at the maximum. Hope that such feedback is helpful and not too annoying. thanks for doing the series!
Great match! I am in love with omen machine. Most likely adding it to my Rorix bladewing deck. Also I enjoy the thought and deck building. I appreciate the effort into making this interesting deck types. I am looking forward to the Aether Revolt decks. Each legendary in that set looks like great commander potential. Go Team Gold!
Just something different that people don't see, he is a gladiator so deserves to be in the fry of war and plus a 6/5 flying haste is pretty strong. I put him in a fun chaos deck. He is not broken and my play group likes him. So I have kept him up and bring him out from time to time.
Yes! Commander Archenemy is awesome, and is actually fairly balances with 3 vs 1. Of course, points for winning wouldn't work for this idea, but they've suspended points in other episodes. Also, just doing Commander Archenemy would be sweet. Don't necessarily need Ross.
Hey guys.. can we see a point recap at the end of the games to who won the most points during the match? Also, I do like the budget videos. Maybe do like all cards 99 cents and under or just decks with commons and uncommons? Lastly, thank you for the games and love commander versus series!
I loved this video, although having so few answers (because of the restriction of course) was a little painful. Maybe the budget restriction can be like the one they do in @Commander's Brew: 50$ total, no cards over 5$.
Loved the idea behind this. Also a few cards surprised me. I'd like to throw out the idea of a 4 mono blue commanders vs match. Just think of the shenanigans.
Hey guys- I really like this channel. Your production value is great, your rate of play is professional and you are knowledgeable AF. :) I am thinking about starting a league and wanted to borrow/steal/use your points system. Is there a SCG link you can share for it? I can also type it out from the screen. I searched and couldn't find anything concrete other than a piecemeal reddit thread. Thanks!
rules note I think doing 20 commander damage should be worth 2 points as that does not happen often, great series keep it up, also a restriction I would like to see is something like all 3 drops
There should be some sort of playoff system introduced next season (or maybe this one) where the person with the most points at the end of the system doesn't automatically win, but rather gets a major perk going into a final match and the other players get a handicap, still preserving the advantage of the player with most points while making interesting down the stretch if there is a clear winner in the leaderboard.
sooooooo this buikding restriction was a really neat idea guys! 2 questions though. 1 was it 49 cents or less or 49 cents at all? and 2 by the rules of placement doesnt that mean regardless of what some vote says that season 1 was actually just a tie for 2nd and therefore no winner? lol.
You guys can try a legendary equipment (or equipment in general) along with you commander! Even possibly increase the equip cost by its own commander tax to make it more fair?
While I miss Director Choi, new director has been on point with the card viewer memes and graphics. #directorofsass
Vince Inman stop whining is the best!
13 minutes in and this is already the BEST episode ever.
I like the kind of fun that Jon brings to the table. Probably because I'm not at the table
I have been waiting so long for this video. It is a very impressive series to me and has inspired me to make an EDH league at my college. Thanks for all your hard work!
Stephen with the low-key Gucci Mane reference is my favorite part of this video #TeamGreen
It'd be fun to see the opposite: Each card have to cost at least 10 (or maybe more) dollars each.
or just above 5
I think this would only work if you could only use cards who's cheapest version is 5 or 10 dollars or more.
Before I moved, my lgs had tons of bulk rares like all of the stuff you're playing. It's weird recognising most of the cards you're playing with! You're bringing back fond memories, guys.

Each one of you plays one of David McDarby's old EDH decks! Think that would be quite a game!
Andrew Pope Yes, I would like that.
That would be awesome
Andrew Pope oh baby yassss
Decklists? and I love budget decks and really enjoyed todays restriction of dollar or less. Thanks for this episode and I really appreciate you guys.
Yay!! They are back!! Best part of my day today! CONGRATS JON!! Knew you could do it buddy!!
So glad the new season has started, these videos always make me chuckle and I love some of the ideas it gives for decks
That was a really fun game to watch. Keep up the great work you guys. I look forward to this segment every week.
Bosh is a super fun commander. Glad to get to see him in action.
Good to have you back :)
Finally I have been going nuts without a new episode.
You know, just yesterday I was wondering when this would come back on. Excited for another great season!
bounteous kirin - Stephen
infernal kirin - Justin
cloudhoof kirin - Jeremy
skyfire kruin- Jon
would love to see these kamigawa themed decks in s6, lots of flavour and each with an unique playing style
51:45 Lose 3 life, that's really good! I lol'd.
Idea for Randomness: If you haven't done partner commanders by then, you each get a random partner commander and you have to have a commander in common with the player to your left.

so glad you guys are back
This episode was awesome guys! I laughed trough the whole video. Keep the good work!
Woo! Welcome back guys!
INDIVIDUAL HEADSET MICS
CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY
(or late, depending on your perspective)
Ben Green It's a matter of perspective, really...
Ben Green or both.
Justin's " you tricked me " was slightly heartbreaking at 1:22:50
Looking forward to another great season!
Welcome back everyone! Excited for another great year of games
+10 sports points to the director for the excellent Tim and Eric reference.

I voted up so fast after Stephen cracked that "You didn't wish for that" joke. 10/10
51:00
Justin, was that really a quote from Office Space, when the Bobs asks Peter Gibbons "What would you say that you do around here"?
Yeeeaaahhhh.....
I wouldn't say I've been missing it Bob
I love this series. The deck builders are pretty good.
Woooo! Screw homework! More Commander!
yaaaay :D finally guys you are all back!!!!
Around 1:26:50 Is There any reason for Jonathan Suarez not to draw a card for his turn? he should draw 3 from Orrey and 1 for his draw-step.
Edit. Oh, they saw the turn after, Ok. ^^
When Steven flipped Ancient Craving off of Omen Machine I cried laughing hahaha
@1:27:00 are you able to respond to the Ghirapur Orrery trigger?
A video I'd like to see is if one of you (or all, but I know you're busy), would run down your deck constructing techniques.
I'm good with ratios in Standard decks, but Commander seems a lot more complicated with 100 cards interacting with each other; I think a little guide, or even just your own personal strategies would be interesting.
Woohoo! They're back boys :D #TeamParnell #ParnellBlue #BlackManaMatters #WhatTheHellJustinWhereAreTheBlackDecks
Man the "SPORTS" bit at the end had me laughing a bit too hard for being exactly midnight on a weekday.
Oh, and I better see a Yahenni deck next week Justin!
PS. #CMDRVS
The Tim and Eric reference was worth watching until the very end of the video for
Yessss, omg, season 6! :D
A fun theme for the future would be all gold cards. Pick a 2+ color commander and every spell in the deck is a gold card.
I do love the budget theme episodes as well.
Congratulations to Justin! Well done for breaking Jon's stranglehold on second place.
Womp womp womp
Y'all fell into the Suarez trap.... again xD
Six seasons and a movie!!!
Jon's new picture looks like he took an oath to defend against the Eldrazi. I like it.
TBH, those storage lands don't seem that bad. If you're curving out, sure, they're not ideal, but being able to stash mana like that in Commander definitely has potential.
Ben Green storage lands and vivid lands are great budget options in atraxa as well. 😀
Ben Green I tend to run them in my mono-color decks. Nobody ever gives me crap about it, either, because I also have uses for the stored mana.
White: Rebels, and their recruit abilities
Green: Elves, and Joraga Warcaller
Blue and green: big creatures

Yes! Welcome back!
I used to run a Varolz commander. Pretty cool to see someone else attempt to run him.
Awesome! Too long a wait!
Who needs to write an essay when you got the notification sqaud
Master Thesis here, who needs the future anyways? :P :D
We are on the same boat m8s
welcome back guys! :)
This was great. So many fun rares :D
Please could one of you play with Hope of Ghirapur as commander? Would love to see what sort of deck comes out of that! Looking forward to next week! Keep it up!
Extort (3 opponents) x 4 != 16. C'mon now.
Yay new season! Great restriction this week. Love the mana batteries, might need to pick some up lol.
I love interesting restrictions.
are you guys going to be doing modified commander 2016 this season? You've done it for the past two and they've been enjoyable to watch with how you wanted to take each deck and would like to see the same with Commander 2016
(Jeremy) We typically do that around 6 months after they come out, so it will be next season.
Hey guys, huge fan of the series, and stoked for season 6!
Also, I think when Jeremy extorted for 4, he was supposed to be at 52 life, right?
Good job Jon!!
58:10 Jeremy extorts 4 but gains 16? 4x3=12
Hi! Love the Show! watch it every week.

David Myers You play Rorix? you are my hero
Just something different that people don't see, he is a gladiator so deserves to be in the fry of war and plus a 6/5 flying haste is pretty strong. I put him in a fun chaos deck. He is not broken and my play group likes him. So I have kept him up and bring him out from time to time.
Thanks
Yeah I play a tribal deck with him but use goblins to summon their dragon overlords which is pretty fun and flavorful
Lucarioguild7 Awesome!
Can't wait for aether revolt commanders
Parnell: Ah you have 14 and he's 15.... so great.
What about a game where a legendary equipment or aura is your commander? You would equip them to a creature to get commander damage
After watching Mini Masters my new theme idea is that you make Ross Merriam play a game of Archenemy with you guys.
Yes! Commander Archenemy is awesome, and is actually fairly balances with 3 vs 1. Of course, points for winning wouldn't work for this idea, but they've suspended points in other episodes.
Also, just doing Commander Archenemy would be sweet. Don't necessarily need Ross.
This is clearly a ploy by starcity games to get the prices of bulk rares to spike from 49¢ to 50¢! I'm not falling for your marketing tricks! /sarcasm
(Jeremy) And we would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for those meddling UA-cam commenters!
For season 6 episode 6 do demon based decks.
Oh hey I bought an entire commander deck off SCG for $16 a couple weeks ago. Cool to see something similar.
Exactly what I wanted for my Birthday and day off lol
What a glorious finish for Suarez. Kurkesh and Bosh was sweet.
At 35:12 Jonathan still hasn't gotten his commander out!?
I would love to see a necromancer themed Commander VS episode if it is possible.
Hey guys.. can we see a point recap at the end of the games to who won the most points during the match? Also, I do like the budget videos. Maybe do like all cards 99 cents and under or just decks with commons and uncommons? Lastly, thank you for the games and love commander versus series!

made 6 seasons, time for a movie
(Jeremy) Commander VS in the morning!
Loved the idea behind this. Also a few cards surprised me. I'd like to throw out the idea of a 4 mono blue commanders vs match. Just think of the shenanigans.
Mill week was great
For crazy ideas for themes, each person gets two random partners and builds two 50 card decks. Then you get two random partners from the spinner.
1:40:00 ish justin leveled up his elephant dude at the end of turn. you may only do it as a sorcery.
Brandon Marshall um the game ends at 1:34:00 ish.
Hey guys- I really like this channel. Is there a SCG link you can share for it? I can also type it out from the screen. I searched and couldn't find anything concrete other than a piecemeal reddit thread. Thanks!
Never thought I'd see the day when Justin would have to tell Stephen the politics of the commander game.
rules note I think doing 20 commander damage should be worth 2 points as that does not happen often, great series keep it up, also a restriction I would like to see is something like all 3 drops

Praetors this season?
YESS Welcome back. #ParnellDoge #Chestache #GuacaNoelly
have you guys considered having cmc restrictions? maybe only playing odd cmc spells or something?
missed you guys
sooooooo this buikding restriction was a really neat idea guys! 2 questions though. 1 was it 49 cents or less or 49 cents at all? and 2 by the rules of placement doesnt that mean regardless of what some vote says that season 1 was actually just a tie for 2nd and therefore no winner? lol.
Obscure win cons would be an awesome vid
I missed you guys!
New season! Same ol' request! Slivers v. Slivers v. Slivers v. Slivers!
How many cards (draw) did Suarez denied with Omen Machine ? So frustrating this card !
You guys can try a legendary equipment (or equipment in general) along with you commander! Even possibly increase the equip cost by its own commander tax to make it more fair?
25:10 - Doesn't he play 2 lands and he can't play the last one after saccrificing the artifact with trash?
