(Jeremy) As Justin said at the start of the episode, we have a list of themes that have been requested through the years. This is one theme that we've had on the list for a looooong time and we've never done it, assuming it would make for a pretty uninteresting game. Let us know what you think about it, and maybe we'll work on those last couple of themes we've been avoiding. :) Edit: In case you're having trouble with the Lifelinker code, here it is WIOFVNBZDIU0
Star City Games I probably enjoy this because I love 4 way control mirrors and I feel these commanders are some of the best control commanders you can find. Green lock down, blue counter combo, Black reanimator control, and white token control. Each has a way to build aggro, but they are AMAZING as control leaders. I personally have an elesh norn deck (signed by Danny west of course), and it's one of my favorite ways to play control that's not blue.
I don't think the commanders were the problem for this game. It was literally just Ulamog running the entire game. Remove Ulamog from the equation, then this would've been a much more interesting game.
@@ultraviolentkingofthedeath4817 actually i think leovold is pretty fine if you're not going full commitment to windfall effects and leave out teferis puzzlebox.
LOL when my buddy played his Leovold deck vs my Xenagos I top decked a Malignus and killed him in one hit. The second battle killed my buddy in 2 hits from a double striking dragon, after that it felt like he was a ''little'' salty:)
(Jeremy) When you tried the code, did it say it was redeemed, or did it give you an error? Here's the code: WIOFVNBZDIU0 First O is the letter, second 0 is the number.
Star City Games ok play the commander 2013 commanders but then do a video with the Boros commander 2015, the blackless commander 2016, the white commander 2014, and whichever one isn't played in the 2013 video. Do it for us completionists
Sure did... he had many cards in his yard when he shuffled the single Ulamog back in. He drew it again very quickly. With the other cards in the library his odds to final Ulamog again, and then get the cast trigger, would go way down.
After all of these themes that include 5 color cycles, you guys should complete some! Play a commander match consisting of the 5th members that were left out of their cycles' theme episodes.
Jeremy @17:50 - "I'm pretty bad at this game, but..." It's amazing to see how much better at commander Jeremy has gotten since these early seasons of his involvement. Go Team Noell!
at 55:40 Stephen casts an artifact creature (Burnished Hart) into an aura of silence without paying the extra two mana, then proceeds to cast Rise from the Grave with mana that isn't there. Woopsy!
Highlight of this video was learning about the Patron cycle from Betrayers of Kamigawa. Patron of the Orochi does work in mono-green and the offering mechanic being like proto-emerge is cool. I'm gonna try that card out in some of my big green decks.
can someone explain what exactly the "order of elimination rule 4/3/2/1" means, do you get points for eliminating someone, when you were eliminated? how does that rule work?
Justin you were right about this not being fun to watch. But it was really cool to see the 4 colors at their strongest Black, re animator, green ramp, blue counter and bounce, and then white beat up. It may have been a super high tier game but these kind of games are the reason EDH is the best format you can do all this cool end game stuff only in this format. On another note 1:77:43 was hilarious I can't believe nobody pointed it out The White Player: "Let me sing you the song of my people" The Blue player: "No" *plays counter spell*
What brand of sleeves do you guys use? I've only use Dragon shield. I would love some sleeves with some art on them but I need a good brand. Any suggestions?
Is there any way to make the code for the app at the end actually work? I haven't gotten it to work. What are the I/O supposed to be? The text is ridiculous.
I liked this episode, it's fun to add some power every now and again. That said, I think my ranking of the praetors by power level in commander would be 5. Urabrask 4. Sheoldred 3. Elesh Norn 2. Jin-Gitaxias 1. Vorinclex. Jin and Vorinclex are mostly unfun to play against, especially if the table isn't well-equipped to handle them, but the rest are strong but not OP.
Seeing a bunch of people complaining haha. Loved the Episode Keep it up! Would love to see a match where Stephen Green is the one who has a CHAOS Dorin The Wary Deck and for JUSTIN to have a MILL REVENGE DECK!!!
YES JUSTIN,I ACTUALLY AM! Why? Because for the first time Jeremy didn't get run over by the three of you and he stomped you three! That is EXACTLY what i wanted to see!
Great video as always! Definitely should have Doge Ulamog with rules text noting it exiles JUSTIN's library. For all those trying to use the code for the Lifelinker app: The third letter is an O but the last one is a zero.
I like what you were all doing with your decks today. Whilst some of you think Stephens deck was designed to mill Justin, I do believe it was just a tactic of self milling for the Sheoldred reanimation... #teamgreen However, this video would have been much more enjoyable if we got to see Justin doing something with his deck. Ever since the Ulamog hit the field, it felt that Justin was just playing creatures to stay alive. I think the core of the problem may have been that the green deck was more powerful than the other decks... such is the problem with the praetors (Vorinclex in particular)
I'm really curious what your nick name for garruk primal hunter is. I know in a previous episode you mentioned you couldn't say it on camera and in this episode jon said three letters and made stephen laugh so I'm curious what you guys normally refer to that card as.
Seeing the AEtherize come out a few turns later made it seem like it would have been disrupted, yeah. Though in hindsight there is always the option to not attack with all of them :P You did well! Sucks to see you milled every game
I might have missed what happened if it was announced, but what happened to Wes? He hasn't been on Commander VS for a few seasons. He was my fav for such a long time and I'm just concerned on the whereabouts of him.
Justin I also have an elesh norn deck. But I got a funny combo of elesh, kormus bell and Urborg Tomb of Yaugmouth. Making all their lands - 1/-1. Distribute some salt
This was a fun video. Nothing wrong with Praetors. If Justin didn't like being milled by ulamog run more things like terminus, banishing stroke, condemn or hallowed burial. Theres really no excuse. Besides don't we all enjoy seeing Justin suffer??? I know I do. Poor Stephen tho. Bad Misplay at the end not attacking with Sheoldred...
A deck theme I would like to see is 5 color Shapeshifter with all the "Champion a..." cards. could be interesting with Hoard as the General, since shapeshifters are Elemntals too.
SO just watching this episode and noticed that both Stephen and Jon cast artifacts and enchantments for their regular cost without including Aura of Silence adding two more.
I think that while there are pros and cons to the milling of Justin the real problem this week with the "lack of playing magic" was Vorinclex. More and more as Jeremy gained his lead the problem that arose was that Vorinclex keeps people from playing the game. I fully agree with the power discrepancies that are mentioned between praetors.
Dear Justin, play azorius. All the 'name a card' options for Ulamog, and a Time Spiral/Elixir of Immortality for the honest mill. Also run Laboratory Maniac and Leyline of Anticipation/ Vedalken Orrery to sneak a win if they succeed. You're welcome, I hope you win.
(Jeremy) As Justin said at the start of the episode, we have a list of themes that have been requested through the years. Star City Games everyone use the same commander (creature) but build the deck in a different way
That was actually good fun to watch but really shows how powerful each of those commanders are. I feel like making Vorinclex now.
Star City Games please play with the end of each cycle you haven't covered. The Boros c15 the blackless c16 ink treader and urubrask
I don't think the commanders were the problem for this game. It was literally just Ulamog running the entire game. Remove Ulamog from the equation, then this would've been a much more interesting game.
It's probably been said, but Vorinclex doesn't lock down already tapped lands. Only lands that are tapped while he's in play.
20:01 - Stephen plays land for turn.
20:10 - Puts land back in hand.
20:15 - "did I play a land?"
For reference 19:24 is the actual first land for the turn
Please do banned commanders (Griselbrand vs. Erayo vs. Rofellos vs. Braids)!!!
Yes hahaha, please :)
No way. Griselbrand wins on T3 every single time. Very boring gameplay. Replace with Darevi.
derevi is only banned 1v1 though not multi
wizkida981015 griselbrand is 2 powerful replace with leovold lol
@@ultraviolentkingofthedeath4817 actually i think leovold is pretty fine if you're not going full commitment to windfall effects and leave out teferis puzzlebox.
Dang no one caught Stephen playing his Burnished Heart at 55:00 for only 3 mana, should've been 5 mana due to Aura of Silence.
Right now, I just wanna see Justin play a cancerous Leovold deck and just say no to people trying to do... things
Wommyo God no. Him out of all people should not play that deck. Both are truly evil and Justin should be miserable.
Ouch. Leovold just took a banhammer to the face.
LOL when my buddy played his Leovold deck vs my Xenagos I top decked a Malignus and killed him in one hit. The second battle killed my buddy in 2 hits from a double striking dragon, after that it felt like he was a ''little'' salty:)
In honor of C17 being tribal themed, go for less popular tribal commanders in a future episode.
More Chair Tribal pls
Bald screaming man deck!
Homarids
absolutely 100% agree with this statement
Elementals under Animar is my vote.
Next Week: See if Stephen can mill Justin out using a mono red deck
118bone 70 wheel effects
Krenko + Altar of the Brood.
Kurkesh + Keening Stone
Well, mono red mill appears to be a deck for the Future. bye the other comments It looks promising.
Barbed Shocker
Dragon Mage
Make it happen.
YES FINALLY!!!! Next step: legendary dragon spirits from kamigawa (Justin Parnell's favorite block).
I love these, you guys have so much fun and I wish beyond wishing I could join you guys and play and learn. keep on keepin on guys!
Jeremy with the "the shadow knows," love the reference.
Justin at 31:07 is just like our government. Making up laws and then saying they have no choice but to listen to them.
>Elesh Norn
>Blue font
>Vorinclex
>Red font
>Sheoldred
>Green font
>Jin-Gitaxias
>Yellow/cream font
F U C K I N G W H Y D O T J P G
YES!!! Finally!!! Thank you everyone at the Commander Vs. Secret lair of Magic things!
Best one yet. So much fun watching Justin's deck fade away
10:01 start of game
tried the lifelinker code and it didn't work.
(Jeremy) When you tried the code, did it say it was redeemed, or did it give you an error? Here's the code: WIOFVNBZDIU0 First O is the letter, second 0 is the number.
That works! the O vs 0 and V vs U were hard to read in the video's font.
Star City Games ok play the commander 2013 commanders but then do a video with the Boros commander 2015, the blackless commander 2016, the white commander 2014, and whichever one isn't played in the 2013 video. Do it for us completionists
the code in the description is more clear, the end is a zero.
Same Here
When Jeremy drew caged sun with orochi out and NOT playing it immediately was soooooooo painful to watch.
or scrying that zendikar resurgent to the bottom early on, knowing that his commander is a removal magnet.
annnnnnnd no fun was had that day. let the salt floweth!
"Oh, you want to try a cigarette? Well you're gonna sit down and smoke this whole pack"

Holy crap, I was just looking for a praetor commander video yesterday. What the hell?!
The original Ulamog says shuffle the whole graveyard back in, correct? Not sure if it mattered this game.
Sure did... he had many cards in his yard when he shuffled the single Ulamog back in.
So many people complaining about milling, yet this is one of my favorite episodes. Fun to not see Jeremy get 3v1'd or mana screwed for once!
I tried everything with the lifelinker code, nothing works. T-T
Suprised Suarez isn't playing Vorinclex, I heard he loves a good Winter Orb effect....
will next vs. potentially have amonkhet cards in you's guys's decks? If so then I'd like to see some of the new ___to___ cards in action.
Jeremy @17:50 - "I'm pretty bad at this game, but..." It's amazing to see how much better at commander Jeremy has gotten since these early seasons of his involvement. Go Team Noell!

the videos just keep getting better guys! keep up the good work.
56:30 the Rise from the Grave could have not be casted that same turn. the artifact Stephen casted costed 5 not 3.
He also tapped "3 Zombies" to draw a card that turn, even though one of them was a demon
I'm curious as to why Justin didn't activate his Windbrisk Heights at 24:30. Would have netted him 43 3/3 flyers.
greatest of all time! I loved the Justin baby the whole game lol. Super thumbs up
can someone explain what exactly the "order of elimination rule 4/3/2/1" means, do you get points for eliminating someone, when you were eliminated? how does that rule work?
1st place 4pts, 2nd place 3pts, 3rd gets 2 and last gets 1.
Justin you were right about this not being fun to watch. But it was really cool to see the 4 colors at their strongest Black, re animator, green ramp, blue counter and bounce, and then white beat up. On another note 1:77:43 was hilarious I can't believe nobody pointed it out
The White Player: "Let me sing you the song of my people"
The Blue player: "No" *plays counter spell*
have they done an episode only using standard cards?
What brand of sleeves do you guys use? I've only use Dragon shield. I would love some sleeves with some art on them but I need a good brand. Any suggestions?
Is there any way to make the code for the app at the end actually work? I haven't gotten it to work. What are the I/O supposed to be? The text is ridiculous.
Where do they get these tokens? Is there a site where you can make your own tokens or do they made it entirely by themselves?
Poor Urabrask :'(
Will you do a god commander versus? Justin will love Bontu with Grave Pact :p
I really would like urabrask he's my fave.
Wait....so they finally do this and Justin isn't the one playing Sheoldred? I can't imagine if Stephen casts Grave Pact on him.
I thought Justin would play Sheoldred and Stephen would play Urabrask.
But if Justin played Sheoldred, how would Stephen be able to mill him?
You will be GRAVELY disappointed, as Stephen threw the chance at a cool general away to the way side.
LOL thought the exact same thing
do they sell a version of that table that they are playing on? or is it only custom made for them
14:06 that's why I started taking temple of the false god out of a lot of my decks
Missed the Windbrisk Heights activation after that attack w/ Angel and servos?
I was wondering. Are you guys doing the cycle of Gods from Amonkhet, or the other cycle of Legendary gods?
Finally, i have been requesting this video for so long i am so happy that it is happening.
I’m sorry but who was in charge of the colors each players name was
Jeremy i tried to use the code for the life counter app you guys put out but it's saying invalid
Can someone explain to me why Jeremy didn't play the caged sun to double his mana before casting the archetype?!
Anyone else tried to use the code for the lifelinker app? It is not working for me.
By the way I just wanted to mention that your videos are inspiring and funny I have had lots of fun with many of your and my own deck ideas
ahhh i'm torn between wanting justin to be able to play magic and wanting to see how stephen works a mill theme into the next deck
Watching the old videos, can’t believe commander VS predicted compleated planeswalkers 😂😂
It's a fun and fantastic idea you already did the all creatures game so why not this
hey so the code won't work can you type it out clearer like i can't tell if its a O or a 0 or a 1 or an I like its really messy
How do i change the back ground i downloaded the redeem code and got that far but idk how to change it
There may be people complaining in the comments, but my God with this my favourite episode in a long time
Is there any numbers in the code? I can not get the code to work.
Best episode ever! New weekly theme, Mill Justin to death. Should be added to the point system.1 extra point to the player to Mill Justin...
Seeing a bunch of people complaining haha. Loved the Episode Keep it up! Would love to see a match where Stephen Green is the one who has a CHAOS Dorin The Wary Deck and for JUSTIN to have a MILL REVENGE DECK!!!

For all those trying to use the code for the Lifelinker app: The third letter is an O but the last one is a zero.
Do tribal of the most popular tribes( Goblins, Merfolk, Elves, Zombies) inspired by the 4 commander 2017 decks that will be tribal this year!
#saveJustin
#keepjustindown
#Lustin4Justin #TooMuchMill
#ExtraVerdeMill
i tried the lifelinker code and it said that the code was not valid
Nice team up on Justin! The People's Champion has this season in the palm of his hand!!
Sheoldred is my all time fave commander, its so nice to see her out having a good time
I appreciated The Shadow reference at 1:15:30 : D
Why are the colors for the name off? Why is the Sheolderd please in green and the vorinclex player in red.?
Wanna know why you choose omnath instead of nylea at the end there swing ulomag with pumps and trample lethal
Justin you ready for Stephen Green the Glimpse the Unthinkable, Mind Crank, Suarez to Decimator Web, and Jeremy to use Traumatize?
would time stamp order reduce Jeremy's hand size to zero when Jin Gitxais entered?
no because Jin-Gitaxias doesn't make a hand size zero. it reduces it by 7. nothing minus 7 is still nothing, no Jeremy has no maximum hand-size
Can you guys do another personal deck Commander? Would love to see it on the series again.
Wasn't the devote guy with flying that make harpys a demon? Why did he tap it with crypt like it was a zombie?
Where is my favorite praetor urabrask at?
This is awesome having the four praetors go at it!
I like what you were all doing with your decks today. Whilst some of you think Stephens deck was designed to mill Justin, I do believe it was just a tactic of self milling for the Sheoldred reanimation... #teamgreen

Kinda wish Justin had gone for Windbrisk Heights activation at 23:00,
Me too. I was scared of the bounce deck with a full grip though.
Seeing the AEtherize come out a few turns later made it seem like it would have been disrupted, yeah. Though in hindsight there is always the option to not attack with all of them :P
You did well! Sucks to see you milled every game
Couldn't Jeremy have blocked because every land was a swamp at 45:40?
He can't block exactly because each land was a swamp.
I might have missed what happened if it was announced, but what happened to Wes? He hasn't been on Commander VS for a few seasons. He was my fav for such a long time and I'm just concerned on the whereabouts of him.
Forbid out there doing Gods work! (thanks for this video made the work night bearable).
Justin I also have an elesh norn deck. But I got a funny combo of elesh, kormus bell and Urborg Tomb of Yaugmouth. Making all their lands - 1/-1. Distribute some salt
You guys should do $30 commander decks. They can be tough to build, but are also super solid and fun.
I seem to have trouble redeeming the code...
Watching this in 2021 and not realizing how old it was until they played Crusade on turn 2.
How about that Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre trigger when it hit the graveyard?
yeah they missed that big time , He should have gotten his whole graveyard.
SO just watching this episode and noticed that both Stephen and Jon cast artifacts and enchantments for their regular cost without including Aura of Silence adding two more.

More and more as Jeremy gained his lead the problem that arose was that Vorinclex keeps people from playing the game. I fully agree with the power discrepancies that are mentioned between praetors.
how about the main archetypes of edh get represented? this video kind of touches on it but itd be like 1 aggro deck, 1 combo deck, etc etc
56:53 Pretty late, but burnished heart costs 5 mana to cast when aura of silence is on the battlefield.
@1:01:50 Vorinclex had squiggly lines. You mean words written in English Stephen?
Dear Justin, play azorius. All the 'name a card' options for Ulamog, and a Time Spiral/Elixir of Immortality for the honest mill. Also run Laboratory Maniac and Leyline of Anticipation/ Vedalken Orrery to sneak a win if they succeed. You're welcome, I hope you win.
Stephen.
Overlord is not a Zombie and Burnished hart costs 5 mana with aura out
I am the "Justin" of my playgroup. I feel you Justin. Somehow I think that has to be to do with being the host and initiator of a playgroup
