This is so true! I just finished creating a website for a comic I'm releasing later this month. I plan on releasing it on other comic platforms like Webtoons or Tapas but having my own place where I have complete control over is so nice.
Question: Is it a good idea to use free hosting websites? Y'know~ Since it costs money to make a website, and some people can't pay for it right now. In your opinion and all those years of experience, is it worth the shot? Thanks! Great video as always!!
I think the key thing you want to own is the domain name. The rest you can update over time. The reason for this is mostly to do with search over time and having a link you can give you that will last over the long haul. I used to have a variety of different free options that I played with over the years. The problem is that if you move on the links and effort don't often follow you. (So for instance I would get interviewed, and give out my 'free' platform link... but if that goes away or I decide to stop using it... then that link no longer works) Can I ask what free options you are looking at? What's out there right now?
Hi Tim. Do you have any opinion about web hosts like FASO or Art Storefronts? I'm thinking about creating my own website, but a little skittish about taking on the project if it won't provide any extra benefits.
