    My hair is 60%+ gray. I believe the fizziness is due to gray hair just don't care. I love the way it looks.

      Yes, gray hair still makes your hair look frizzy. It has a mind of its own. I tell people not to fight grays. You'll lose that battle everything

      Yes!!! This is my theory for my locks as well…my first set of locs I didn’t have much gray, but this set is 90% gray and when I tell you the frizz is real, but I love the salt and pepper look I get. but like you said, I already know the grays will win!!!

      @@rocknthefroOMG! I bet they are gorgeous 😍! I don't understand why people act like they don't want to embrace the gray! I just have some in the front of my hair....but can't wait until I'm a silver/white sexy fox

    I have accepted my frizzy locs. I had frizzy hair before I got locs and I got frizzy hair with locs. I've learned to be okay with it. I am now doing my own retightenings and I think that is also contributing to my frizziness because I don't have the technique down yet. Next week will be the second time I re-tightened my hair. Hopefully technique will come with time.

      Glad you've embraced the frizz. Because I keep cutting and coloring my locs, they get frizzy at times, but I live it because it gives me volume

    I'm just gonna say "Thank you!!" for your very first reason. I've seen loctitians shaming people for having frizzy hair and many times it's because of their hair texture and little to do with their maintenance or technique used.

    I’m so happy you touched on this. I thought I was just being picky about finding someone to do my locs. Here’s the thing. When I look at someone’s page and I look at some of the mature locs a loctician says they’ve been maintaining since they installed the client’s locs and the locs look frizzy like they aren’t catching all the hairs nor smoothing them out….hard pass. Especially if you have 4C like mine. Why would they be frizzy. You being a super fast interlocking loctician means nothing to me when the end product looks messy to me. I’m absolutely fine with frizz if it has nothing to do with a lazy technique.
    Honestly, following you and your technique has me having extremely high standards for who I’m gonna let install and maintain my hair 😭 I’ve been search for over a year now in the Bay Area. I never expect d it to be this hard.

    A lot of black women we might think we have the 4C type because of what we was told or how it kind of looked like. Same for me I always thought I had the 4C really kinky hair...but since getting locs my loctition told me I actually have more of a soft 4B hair type which I was shocked 😲! So it had me thinking I would loc in like 6-months. 13-months later I still have unraveling and still not loc'd. I was told probably close to 2-year mark I might be fully locked. So I just brace my frizz...it is what it is..🤷🏾‍♀️

    Loose curl pattern right here. Plus an abundance of grey hair. Frizz is my life, I don't lay my edges or nothing.
    I try locksmithing, a d palm rolling. The frizz, I cool with, it's the locs tangling/dancing with each other. I'm coming up on a full year, Just waiting for the process to play out.

    ENTB…TFS vital information ☺️. I frizz before/after Locs learned to accept my hair 🤷🏾‍♀️. I DIY total 75 twist on 8/27 and again on 9/5 bcuz I didnt braid far down from root when washed and came apart. I took my time twisting and went down shaft to smooth hair while twisting. I been told several times my hair is thick but a soft thick/wavy/curly and I’m enjoying my 2nd journey 🤗

    My Loctician is great she does all of the smoothing and takes her time and it is still frizzy after any humidity . It isn’t her fault. Frizziness comes with the territory for my hair texture. Some clients also do not want to use gel and they have short hairs that grow outside the lock no matter what technique is used. Some frizzy hair clients also have tender scalps and don’t want that crisp look. We can’t always blame the loctitians we don’t know the full information. Frizzy hair comes with genetics and gray hairs.

    Thank you for sharing! I have a looser curl pattern that takes on the shape of however it dries, unfortunately. The top of my hair is 3b/3c and will often dry straight or with a slight wave. So although I get some shrinkage and curls tighten, locs do not dry in a curly, shrunken pattern, so I have a lot frizz. I have embraced my frizz and I do my best to incorporate my hair whenever I am interlocking (I do four point rotation because of my hair texture).

    • @EnToiBeauty
      @EnToiBeauty  10 місяців тому +1

    I agree. Our hair is not the same all throughout, at least that's my story. My edges and top of my hair is thinner/fine. My middle and back are the strongest. Same for my son. He had a yarmulke patch (his hair began growing only in the middle when he was a baby), at least that is what I called it.

    Unfortunately I can’t find a loctitian who wants to take the time to do the proper technique to minimize frizz, even when I tell them i will pay extra, they basically tell me, “it’s fine” and keep it moving. It’s frustrating, because i know i have a big head and a lot of hair but if i am willing to pay more, what’s the issue? Do you know someone in the Florida area that you recommend? South florida area.

    I have been locked for almost a year, my locks are very small (618) I think they are not yet mature and I am experiencing the problem you are talking about (frizz) I am sure it is due to the method and also because of my hair type. I went to the Caribbean and took with me sea water which I mix either with rose water or with aloe vera juice and a few drops of essential oils with which I spray my hair , is this a good thing to do? thank you Pauline for your valuable teachings. I live in Quebec (Canada) if you weren't so far away, you would have definitely been my locktician.
