Glad to see that you bought it, Kyle. I bought a '22 XC60 T8 ER after your great Belgian review of it in Oct. 2021, and it's fabulous except for the software and lack of physical buttons/dials for so many things. I drive most of the time in all-electric mode and in one-pedal mode (one-pedal mode even in Hybrid mode with the ICE on); one-pedal driving in my XC60 was one of the huge surprises to me (in that I knew it would be there, but I didn't know how much I'd love it, and now hate driving without one-pedal driving). I don't understand why Volvo hasn't put a 35-kWh battery pack into its PHEVs, especially the XC PHEVs. My 40 miles of (local, non-highway) all-electric range in my XC60 is about the minimum acceptable for me; I wish it had the 50-mile range of my wife's RAV4 Prime, but what I really want is what the Polestar 1 has in electric range, and if Volvo put a 35-kWh battery in its XC60, I imagine it would get 70-75 miles of all-electric range off-highway.

Kyle the car came out of a museum it is a collectors item you are lucky they parted with it don't have any regrets, this car is rare, the price was an outstanding deal because they like you and they knew you would take care of it and enjoy it at the same time.
I now own a Ioniq 6, but before I had the 2020 Ioniq PHEV, and I loved both the PHEV side, and the amazing look of it, but I have to say, the Polestar 1 is next level. The design is awesome for a low seated car (I don’t like SUVs), and the specs seem very impressive too, especially the CCS capability, which I don’t had on my PHEV, and the HPs. Congrats!
How big is the gas tank ? I have a Lexus hybrid not plug in and the gas tank only holds 11 gallons . I love it but wish the tank was bigger. 😊 Need to learn some things about mine . I notice when its sitting in the sun the hybrid battery 🪫 shows the level low then it goes up when I drive it .

The V60 doesn't come close in power or have any of the carbon fiber, but beyond that how does the daily drive experience, the efficiency, etc compare?
Kyle are you sure you only had 2 options as far as plugin hybrids that could DC fast charge? In Europe you can get som Mercedes like GLE but also Range rover has their PHEVs with DC charging!
Congratulations! The white and black looks great. You mentioned it possibly being the only Polestar 1 in Colorado but I don’t believe that is true. I live in Centennial and regularly see a Polestar 1 driving on dry creek by my home. And I think I’ve seen the same car out and about somewhere else. It’s a black or dark grey I believe.

Kyle just recently argued on the InsideEvs podcast that PHEVs are worst of both worlds. For me, the BMW X5 xdrive50e's all electric range of 40 miles would cover 99% of my driving.

The PHEV is surely a sweet spot for most. Welcome to exclusivity as our 2018 CT6 2.0E plug-in is one of 591 units and sees +40 miles of range and can get +200 mpg and almost 3,000 miles per tank of gas. After +35 years of oil changes I can't wait for an EV in the future. But the 600 miles of range when everything is topped up is not matched by most today.
There is no good reason to buy this car. Maybe if you’re going through a mid life crisis. Maybe. Way overpriced & a hybrid, no thanks! Don’t get me wrong it looks cool but eh……Not sorry!

and engines and brakes should last longer on a PHEV than in any non-plugin ICEV (incl. "mild hybrids")

Honestly I feel like 80k is a pretty good deal considering the technology, it’s pretty much unlike any other hybrid.
