Before my Rivian I had a series of ICE BMWs and Mercedes, and the experience with the Rivian far exceeds them. And honestly the build quality on my R1T is way better than the electric BMWs and Mercedes I was looking at.
@@tacosr I went from a 2024 iX 50 to a used 2022 Rivian R1T and man that R1T is so much better! It doesn't have as much technology and the iX had hands-free highway driving and I loved it. The Rivian is much quicker off the line and it gets decent range still... I just did 2 roads trips and it was a breeze. PHX to LAS, 1 charge in Kingman, AZ. PHX to LAX, 1 Charge in Indio, CA.
Yeah, I pay more for my insurance than I do for my lease payment on my R1T (I did get a great inventory discount from Rivian). I am under 25 and living in Los Angeles so I knew it was going to be expensive.
I think he probably has more money in wheels and tires than I had than I’ve had in cars in my life. And I have no idea where he stores all of them. He’s got like three sets of wheels for every car.

It would be best if you sold the Sprinter, I don't see you using it since you are constantly traveling testing cars, and going to hotels. Take that money for a future Taycan or Lotus.
I’ve owned my 2024 R1T for two months now and I couldn’t agree more with you Kyle. If I could only had one vehicle that would be the one. Most comfortable, charging is great (though still waiting for my NACS adapter), I got it for commuting and now I use it for roadtrips. I was worried about owning g an EV while living in an apartment building but it hasn’t been an issue. I almost got a Cybertruck but your videos convinced me that the Rivian was a better choice for me, and it definitely was. It is my first EV and I will never go back to an ICE for a daily driver.

27:04 - Agree. My R1T is by far the "best overall vehicle" I've ever owned. It isn't a 10 in any one category, but it's at least an 8 in every category. It doesn't have as big a bed as the 8' longbed F-250 it replaced for me, but it hasn't stopped me from hauling 12' long things, and the frunk and gear tunnel tend to make up for it in terms of "total storage". It isn't as efficient as my Mach-E, but it charges so much faster that it's a better road tripper.
The official name of the color on the eGolf is 'Baby S^*t Green'. Also, I had the same problem with smoke smell on my car when I got it. I just daily drove it with the windows open and some smoke reducer device. In about 4 months the smell was gone.

I loved this garage update! Thanks for sharing. I too own an L322 (2012 N/A 5.0) and think it's peak Range Rover. Unfortunately like many other similar vehicles lately the values have tanked. Clean low mileage examples are selling for well under $20k. Doesn't mean it's any less of a vehicle. I also have it paired with a Bolt and think it's one of the best all around 2 vehicle garages out there. Wish I had room for a dedicated sports car like MR2 or Cayman. Gotta have something to work toward right?

I found when I smoked, in the summer months, the tar/nicotine stuck to the inner workings of the A/C. When you would start the vehicle, the initial thrust of air would make anyone sick. Thought I would mention that, and it eventually dissipates. Takes a long time though. 7:55

The space of the X served its time and I'm at a position a year later where it doesn't matter if I have size or not. I don't need to breakdown both cars to y'all which is why I'm asking the forum. Should I just keep my car or change it. A bit about me, I am a driving enthusiast, not an absolute nerd but a curious and intrigued appreciator so the weight of the X hasn't been thrilling. Also, I have the yoke right now but a year later I want to retrofit back to a normal wheel bez it's much better for me. Actually, once Kyle talks about his ownership in a public forum, it does become fair game. He says revenue from the channel covers it, however I find that hard to believe given the relatively low number of subs. Purchase price, insurance, maintenance, repair, customization, storage.....to say nothing of production costs for the videos, like huge travel expenses, video production and labor. Even if the channel paid for for all these things, where's the money to cover everything else in life having nothing to do with the channel? Daddy has a stake here somewhere.
There are a number of "Out of Spec" UA-cam channels -- with over 300k subscribers in total. Well over a thousand videos, probably well over 100 million views in total. Plus, if you haven't noticed, "they get sponsors," which usually pay quite a lot more than UA-cam pays. Definitely the kind of money you can "run a business" with. Kyle's personal fleet probably is a drop in the bucket compared to the payroll and other expenses of running the operation.

There's just no way Kyle can purchase and simultaneously insure a 20-vehicle garage of Rivians, Plaids, Cybertrucks, et al, and also pay for video production, extensive travel costs, employee compensation and a host of other things that come with running a business....to say nothing of life's other expenses.........on media revenue alone.

I love living in an HOA on one hand because it keeps our complex clean, but sometimes you get a real prick moving in that causes 99% of the problems and legal fees. I have found that lawyers can be some of the worst people because a good lawyer for their clients may also interpret an Hoa rule to their own advantage.

Sell the sprinter and buy an Equinox for a new daily driver now and wait 12-24 months and buy a silverado ev off lease for 60-70K you'll then have a big boy hauler/tower/range monster as well. You really enjoyed the Equinox, (which was good to see) . Inexpensive 320 miles range You can even road trip in it. You know GM s going to do like VW did with the ID 4 and up charging closer to 180-200 after a year or so . you'll get massive view on the Equinox because it is going to be one of the top EV sales vehicles in a very short time .
also .yeah after a few more vids sell the Cybertruck as well, it's justa look at me vehicle . sell it while it still has some value , dont get caught up in a Plaid issue 140kand now only 50K or so. Ritchie Rich vid and that will make it easier to let go of
