Lynell after getting impaled 20 times though smoke: must have been the wind
if I can't see anything, means nothing is happening, perfect logic
Kinda makes me wish that sometimes whenever enemies swing their weapons, the smoke clears a bit. Yeah it'll nerf the smoke cloud by a lot but tbf there aren't alot of attacks that fill that condition. The only attacks I could think of is the spinning spear attack the bokoblins do, lynel roars and this spin attack here 0:15 and the gleeok wind pressure
Damn these mosquitos are blood thirsty
Lynel: "Someone's prowling 'round here." 😉
😂 precisely the npc reaction expressed. Underrated comment by far
Imagine if you couldn't tell what color mobs are under the armor, like you break the armor off a lynel just to see not only does it have gloom but its also gold
Imma see its horn
I believe even if it was impossible with just looking the camera/sensor is able to tell so there would always be a way
@@corrymuth2997 just have all their names be "armored ___" without listing the color until it breaks off.
Wait so there is Gold level enemy's in Totk ? I though only Master Mode BOTW had them
@@LuisFelipe-pq9lr There is not, it was just an example,
A lot people know of the puffshroom, I actually think Nintendo did this on purpose to help people who aren’t good with parrying. Puffshrooms lynel fights easy, specially with a great weapon.
Same with the keese eyes.
This game makes combat easier but yet so much more satisfying. You have infinite possibilities
Damn, that Lynel just got Snoop-Dogged on, with a whole-ass scythe
Refreshing to see someone using another weapon other than the typical 197 dmg. All about the fit
The 194 damage royal guard's claymore is yesterday's news. With a pristine royal guards claymore and a molduga jaw you can do about 870 damage
@@louiesatterwhite3885 "Hoverstone, Construct Head, and 19 Beam Emitters has entered the chat"
@@louiesatterwhite3885sorry how does that work, I know it uses bone attack up but how does it reach 870 damage?
@@ulisessalduna4351 pristine rg claymore: 39 damage. Molduga jaw: 32 damage. This means 71 damage fuse. +10 damage modifier. 81. 2x damage from breaking point. 162. 2x damage from last hit of durability. 324. 1.8x damage from Bone Proficiency. 583.2. 1.5x damage from attack up 3 food. 874.8
@@louiesatterwhite3885That build is super OP, it needs a considerable amount of preparation but the moment you mount the Lynel even a Silver will die with ease
the battle theme is like " so are you gonna fight or nah ? "
I can't dodge bokoblin attack for $hit but I still got the timing to dodge Lynel... this is the result of BOTW post game.
An even easier way is Ancient Blade.
Too true
No mats tho

@@zgliu8018its honestly easy, it just his mace thats annoying
@@zgliu8018
What glitch?
I was expecting the Lynel to either get out of the smoke or to blow it away via roaring, but nah its just a punching bag.
step one: grab rock and make hammar
step too: flurry rush with hammar, brek armur
step 4: proceed as usual
step nin : eat the guts of ur enmi
step tenty: :D
mmm yes get the lynel high so the pain it is receiving is delayed until it is too late
You can do it your way of course, but at those short distances, just throwing the Puffshrooms instead of fusing them to an arrow would've prolly been more cost effective
For sure, but it entails additional muscle memory for throwing a weapon while having to avoid an enemy
@@aquartertwo I mean... to do it with an arrow, you press ZR and then Up on the D-Pad.
To just throw it, you press the R button a few milimeters higher up and then up on the D-Pad. Not much of a difference, muscle memory wise. Even I didn't realize before just how insanely similar of an input it is, in it's whole, short sequence xD
And to ‘avoid’ accidentally throwing a weapon, add a step: sorting what weapon’s equipped auto-sets it back to the first weapon in the lineup, and one d-pad to the left has it unequipped, no accidental weapon throw.
‘Course, that does mean pausing to reselect the weapon _if_ resorted to, but unless the arrow method is being used in bullet time, it’s not shaving any real time off the combat.
@@alecLogan I never get how people accidentally throw their weapon when wanting to throw a material. I mean, just don't release R before hitting the DPAD up. Once you hit DPAD up, there is no more risk to throw your weapon, no matter what material you choose.
I also found that you can actually press D-Pad Up BEFORE R, but you need to press R REALLY quick afterwards, almost simultaniously. If you do that, the weapon-throwing animation won't even start.
Even Skyrim stealth wasn't so OP that the enemy would continue to obliviously stand still whilst taking hit after hit.
I've recently equipped myself with a Forest Dweller's Spear + Puffshroom. And since I also have a Boulder Breaker with me, I might as well try fighting this one~!
Still, I think I got to prepare myself since I'm not exactly the best when it comes to dodging Lynel attacks.
Dang, kinda thought maybe Lynels would be able to hear where you are even in all the smoke
I absolutely love TOTK. Became my favorite zelda easily. Only nitpicks i have with it is the way Lightning sounds now and Lynels sounds.
The sound fading in and out too I’m crying 😭😂
This was the first lynel I found so I figured they were all like this LMAO
I had a cannon fused to my hylian shield. that takes care of most rock stuff pretty quickly
my basic strat is have that cannon firing for a bit of damage and if it lights the grass on fire then i can bullet time head shot and use the lynel killer while its staggered
he assassins creed it
Vegeta: PUFFSHROOMS ARE FOR THE WEEK!!
I remember I absolutely stomped an armored lynel yesterday. First Lynel I've ever fought and defeated.
This video flew above a lot of heads i see
This method is for those of us who aren't the greatest at flurry rush or parrying. Let people play however way works for them
Just carrying a bolder with you over to one gives you something to jump off of to go into bullet time and face shoot him to stun then jump on the back, rinse and repeat, works great...or use a hill if there is one already nearby.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who uses puffshrooms and muddlebuds on Lynels
Did u say......Armoured lynel? Nah thats too much.
One of my first underground “mini bosses” was an armored Lynel… why does the game hate me so much lol
My first underground mini boss was a gloomed Igneo Talus
Mines was a Frox. It was my first decent into the depths and landed right in front of it.
Same, I was 20 minutes off the Sky Island and stumbled down a chasm. I hadn’t encountered armoured enemies yet so I went in with BOtW confidence. That first flurry rush with zero damage had me thinking hard. What a great game
Mine was Frox.. Right after I jump at the chasm I was attacked by a Frox..
Oh my lanta I never thot about using the Ball Spike on him
Never mount them it gets them to move out of the smoke. Like others say, throw the puff shrooms too. With a 50+ two handed weapon just do the charge attack and it should die in 3-4 shrooms. Using a new shroom after two stamina wheels get spent.
He is using a damaged royal weapon with a fused lynel horn, he needs to mount him to be able to use that weapon and not break it
My g, he knows that and he doesn't care, and it's just better to mount them since you don't loose weapon durability
I prefer just going with the head-on approach and SMASH IT WITH A HAMMER!!!
You don’t need to use any materials to blind the Lynel or use bomb , use any weapon and fuse rock , when u fighting an armor lynel ,try “perfect dodge “ to break down lynel armor
The point of the video flew right past you
I loke your comfortable use of puff bombs.. me when i get into a fight i forget them altogether
just put 2 chests that is glued together, he will just keep shouting
lol just shoot him with the light rocks you collect from the sky dragon. Its like shooting him with a slug. with a 5 shot bow 1 arrow will break him instantly and there is no recoil so you don't kill yourself on accident from being too close
Is there a method where you capture them in some sort of horse shoe creation?
for me flurry rushes is king with lynals! start with a hammer. then move to a royal gear piece., if lucky it may go down for a ride. thanks to Tulin's ghost
Say goodbye to your weapon durability then
@@louiesatterwhite3885 its the easy way to kill a lynal. i actually cant face shot them very well. tho im still at 5 hearts due to focusing on stamina
Which lightroot is this guy next to?
what would you'd if it constantly teleporting inside the smoke if I approach it
Where tf are all the lynels, I killed this one at the beginning of the game and so far haven't meet a single one
Floating Colosseum near the great abandoned central mine in the depths has 5 u can farm. Also, every stable above has lynels directly under them in the depths.
i prefer the cockpit tactic. this seems a bit wasteful in resources
Great strategy!
so basically just collect like 20 puffshrooms per fight i feel like the time I spend gathering them I could of killed like 5 lynels another way
smoke that shroom 💀 lynel should try weed pr sum
That spear must be made of vibranium cause it says badly damaged and didn’t break for a while
While mounted on the back, weapons don't break. Also weapons about to break deal more damage
@@razielestrada7298 I think it's when you have one heart then they do more damage
@@mastercyclone9053 dude, just look it up
@@razielestrada7298do you know what type of spear was used?
@@razielestrada7298 correction, ONLY royal guardsmen weapons get double damage when they are about to break.
Monster hunter speed run strat
nice exposing a flaw here. How does anything take damage and not notice its getting attacked? they should fix that with an update
That’s literally the point of the puffshroom lol
They do notice, or did you miss how many times the player had to readjust their position in the video
Cheesey way they are not even hard enemy’s
Parry
Head shot
Mount
Repeat
Just like in BOTW
something even easier is just simply flurry rushing with a sword that can easily break rocks.
Not everyone is able to flurry rush constantly, nor does everyone want to, it gets pretty boring playing that way
I know the video last only 2 minutes so why did it feel like you took way too long lmao
alternate title: worst way to spend puffshrooms
they need to nerf pufshrooms bro
what is that sythe weapon?
Attach a Lizalfos horn to a weapon.
Why are you using Iron balls? There way better blunt weapons out there any horroblin, moblin horn works also the lynel horn that does less damage also work, and there are plenty of other enemy parts that work? To many people don't realize that some enemy parts work the same way rocks and metal balls do.
the fused item type doesn't affect how fast armor/stone breaks. He could've used a stone and it would have the same effect. It only would have made a difference if he used something other than a two handed weapon, since short hammers and spear hammers don't break ore deposits in one hit (regardless of how strong the material attached is). TL;DR fuse attack power means nothing when breaking armor and stone so using other items makes no difference.
@@angelo423 After testing you are wrong, if I hit a ore with a one handed weapon fused to a rock it breaks in two hits, if I hit it with the exact same weapon fused to a silver lynel horn (the one that does less damage but can break rocks and stuff) it breaks ore deposits in one hit so clearly the fuse material or damage does matter. I'm pretty sure there is some kind of threshold value for damage where where spears and short hammers start destroying ore deposits in one shot somewhere between 50 and 60. A 50 damage zora spear hammer spear breaks ore deposits in 2 hits while a 60 damage one seems to do it in one hit. My 30 damage zora spear breaks ore deposits in two hits when dry but can destroy them in one hit when it's doubled to 60 damage due to beeing wet so that confirms that it's damage based not material based.
It makes a more immidatly noticable diffrence for blue and black hard breakable rock with a rock fused weapon I barly do anything at all while a stronger wepon get's trough it like it's normal breakable rock.
Or just dodge and parry, lynels are easy
An even EASIER way: *git gud*
bomb.
smoke
No offense but this is not the great way to deal with one.
that's not easy, that's overdoing. To kill a Lynel in the proper way is to make use of Flurry Rush, especially against armored mob, Flurry Rush + Hammer combo is the best way to break armor with ease.
How tf is spamming puffshrooms not easier than timing dodges and parrys and using melee durability?
blud took 2 minutes for red lynel
Theres waaay better easy and less materials use to kill an armored lynel
Yeah, if you're a coward
Bro just flurry rush using a hammer it’s not that hard
