Tapping the Fuel Pump if fitted from the top or Tap the Tank if Pump is fitted from the side has saved me a few times
As we know nowadays Pumps are in the Tank, and its the Fuel that keeps them cool, a very low tank of petrol on a very hot day, and your pump will stop

Bad brush contacts on the inside of the pump.. enough vibration will normally restore enough contact surface to get it spinning

First thing you got to do is a pressure test to see if it is your fuel pump da . and there is no pressure check a fuse if it ain't the fuse check the relay then go to your fuel pump again I say duh

My Ford Escape 2018 fuel pump is going bad now🤬😩😭 it’s making a very loud humming noise from the tank. And acts as if it wants to shut down, so I just pull over and cut the car off for about 20mins till I think the pressure drops and then it starts right up as if nothing happened. I replaced my fuel pump on my LS400, previous owner pit in a tiny cheap one in that gave out under a few months, put in a good quality one in thats big the right size and now my car runs like new. Easiest drastic fix you can do to a car if it cranks a long time before starting or doesn’t at all and no acceleration.

Check the relay in your power distribution box first by swapping with another one that’s the same size that you know works

Literally saw this happen to a guy with an E36 today, but unfortunately couldn't remember what you said in this video. Turns out, his mate already knew what to do and started hammering the fuel pump, but still nothing and he was stranded... Any idea? The guy says he's owned many BMWs over the years, E46s and E36, but never had a fuel pump fail on him...(I won't know what the conclusion is either, so we're just speculating here)

Just got home after finding this out yesterday lol. I live deep out in the woods, my driveway is 3 miles from the road going through those woods. Anyways my other vehicles are about an hour away. Pump quit on my truck, whacked it a few times thinking it wouldnt do anything and to my surprise it worked. Fired it up 5 more times before i decided to take a chance and go pick up a new pump (30 min drive). Made it, got the pump and started home, made it maybe 5 miles before the whack method wasnt cutting it. Unfortunately the pump isnt under my backseat but fortunately its an S10 so taking the bed off isnt too bad unless you have a ton of miles (rust belt), thankfully this is a low mileage truck i bought from an old timer who took care of his little truck pretty well. One of those "wont find another for the price" vehicles you cant pass up, especially when its in your top 5.

Me and my friends had a crazy experience. So I'll spend the night at my friend's house so he came pick me up and we decided to take a different route that was longer but a gravel road in the mountain on the way to his house so we get about halfway down this gravel road and the engine just dies and my friend and a mechanic really and I started looking around some looking out wires and crap and I told him to turn the key on and when you turn his key on I didn't really hear the fuel pump so I looked in the fuse box and then tire relay for the fuel pump just like turned sideways like something unplugged it somehow so popped it back in and It started right back up It was pretty funny though almost being stranded in the middle of nowhere on a gravel road lol.

Lmao. Just lean under the car and bang on the tank. You dont have to rip the interior apart to knock a pump. The assembly is gonna be seated against the bottom of the tank and the shock from hitting the tank will do the same as your doing without the extra bs.

Pull the incoming line off of fuel pump, no fuel then lube line coning from the tank, they don’t make parts like they used to, stuck valve. Vodka and some PB Blaster get that valve moving again
