Interesting choice for the Marine Band! (At the premiere in London, the Brits were so befuddled by this piece that they laughed at it.) Well, it is after all a kind of Requiem (for Debussy), so it makes sense from that angle, I think, for Marines to play it. Very nicely performed. One of my all-time favorite pieces since performing it (Horn II) in Berkeley about 75 years ago.
I know a few of the members from my college days. They are fantastic musicians and in america getting a spot in the marine band is considered equivalent to getting a spot in one of the top orchestras
