This is one of the hidden gems of Dvorak's music.
Love this piece. Dvorak was a master and a genius. I never knew the score had the cello and bass in it!
I. Moderato, quasi marcia 00:05
II. Minuetto. Tempo di minuetto 04:37
III. Andante con moto 11:30
IV. Finale. Allegro molto 20:40
Cheers guys, amazing performance!
Terrific ensemble! All the players are superb.
At this point, I'm 90% here just for the pure joy on the face of Andres Orozco-Estrada at the end of each piece :)) So so very grateful for the music you have shared with us in quarantine!
This is one of my favorite pieces ever from one of my favorite composers, sublime, and understaded. Amazing performance, great interpretation. BRAVO!
Thank you so much for these stage@seven posts. They have helped to preserve my sanity during isolation. hr is among the finest orchestras out there. The sound engineers are at the top of the heap. World champions!
Totally agree; what a blessing these posts have been during one year of telework!
Wunderbar!!
💫👑😻👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🌹🌹🌹🙏
As a UA-cam-only viewer, I miss these smaller arrangements. Individual performances and sounds shine through. I'll bet the audio and video folks like it too :)
this is the only wind serenade which could compete with Mozart's ones. Great job Anton.
Brahms serenade 1 nonet version is also a good one imho, if we can disregard that it's only 55% wind 😬
The slow movement is surely an homage to Mozart's.
I was afraid we would have no more videos from this outstanding orchestra for months. A small ensemble is perfect, as they can spread across the whole stage. Some day I hope to be able to travel again and hear this orchestra in person.
This music always lifts the spirits! Good Show!
What a superb performance. Maestro and every musician creating this soul healing peace so much joy watching him conducting
Elegant smooth and gorgeously weaved sound/playing of this gem. I was so very fortunate to see Marcel Moyse conduct this in his grandson's barn in Vermont in 1981!
Thank you for listing the names of the players. Though I would have thoroughly enjoyed the performance had there been no video, shots of Mr Orozco-Estrada's face and those of the musicians, oboist Nicolas Cock-Vassiliou especially, make this video all the more delightful. Kudos to the audio and video directors and technicians for making this, indeed, all of the hr-Sinfonieorchester presentations, a highlight of every day I listen and watch.
It's better with their face in my opinion.
Oh beautiful! One of the best performances of this music.
You tube fast trains
All dressed up and no where to go. Thanks for providing Frankfort Radio Symphony music.
Amazing performance, video and sound, great and fun interpretation! Love it. Thank you so much for providing us this concert.
Bravo! And thank you for a glorious performance, one to lift the spirits.
Just kidding.
Excellent performance of wood winds of my favourite orchestra. Thank you Andrés and musicians!!
Wonderful and perfect. Big Dvorak.
Omg I LOOVE THIS!!! 💜💜 such a great performance
Bravo! Gorgeous music, well-played!
Excellent conducting, great performance, great spacing. Thanks.
Vielen Dank für die Präsentation dieser Live-Konzerte.
Ich liebe die Oboe. Aber alle musizieren so fein. Herrlich die Musik. Danke ♥️
Thanks Stage@Seven for this opus from Dvorak that I did not know. It sounds like a dancing interlude, or a cavalry march. The slow movement is more romantic, reminds me of the superb serenata for strings. Dvorak was a truly great composer, his inventiveness and variety is impressive. The rendering by the winds from the Frankfurt Radio Orchester is excellent, not to mention the "coronavirus setup". In these times of solitude and introspection, a welcome respite and great music.
BEAUTIFULLY EVOCATIVE AND SUBLIME...
Can't wait for Maestro Orozco-Estrada to return to Houston!
Me either. I haven’t seen a concert since Stravinsky in Sept. 2019.
beautiful work and wonderful interpretation! 0pus 44 by Dvorak is a gift to the world, just like so many more of Dvorak´s works. Great balance beetween the instruments and a strong sense of progression in how the music moves forward.
Geweldig.
Beautiful and lively performance of this late-romantic and well-composed serenade with mild sound of all the winds as well as deep sound of cello and bass. The virtuosity of all the players is truly amazing. The brilliant conductor leads the excellent ensemble in a well-phrased and rhythmical tempo and with perfectly united dynamics. Simply wonderful!
Ich mag wie der Dirigent tanzt :-)
Awesome performance. Thank you for sharing this. Such a great channel.
Hermoso, realmente hermoso.
Herrlich, Fantastisch, und SUBLIM!!

Awsoooooomeeee
u can hear the cello's semiquavers in this recording!

Why are they so young?
what's the opening song's name?
It's all one composition with four sections.
Very beautiful performance. Too much conductor.
I don’t know why Dvořák need a Cello and a Double Bass for a Wind Serenade.
I would say primarily to add weight to the bass part, which normally are just the bassoons (not an instrument that projects too well). In fact in most forte sections all they are doing is doubling the bassoons. It also rounds out the overall sound by softening it somewhat, which is something I personally really like.
Dirk S, You are so right! Dvorak was all about blend and balance, and that's exactly what those two stringed instruments provided!! Dvorak was so great!!
why are the players so far apart from one another?
Yes, quite weird.
@@Jajadore I've come to the conclusion that it's just where this hall happens to have their microphones affixed and they didn't feel like rearranging them
@@AhrkFinTey Yes, you're probably right. But it is a bit confusing, isn't it. It looks a bit like they don' t like each other 🤔
So let's see
%85 English
%5 German
%5 Spanish (I think)
%5 Mandarin
I mean good that people are enjoying this but Frankfurt made this...
