Fly with me into Dulles Intl - a Class Bravo and DC SFRA Airport

- Come along with me on my approach into Dulles Internaltional KIAD in my homebuilt experimental airplane called a Cozy MKIV. Dulles is a class Bravo Airport which also happens to be inside the DC SFRA. It was personally my first time flying into either, but it ended up being pretty simple!

That's insane you never flew into a Class B and you fly your own homebuilt haha. I did my training at W00 next to the FRZ so this airspace is home to me. Great build man it came out phenomenal.
Cool, I flew out of W00 for about 7-8 years. Now I'm at VKX deep inside the big bad FRZ.
New sub. I've been flying that airspace for about 10 years. I'm now based at VKZ in the FRZ. I flew out of IDA for a short time in the 80s. Loooooooonnnnggg runways for a 172.

No nav radio? Do you mean you have GPS but not VOR/LOC radio(s)?
Yes, I only have gps for navigation 🧭
Why not just file IFR plan. It’s easier to fly IFR when flying into KIAD since you don’t have to worry about busting SFRA.
Love too, but I an still working on my instrument rating 🤷♂️
