Rest In Peace Dale Earnhardt Sr. You will forever be missed and a hero in NASCAR history.
He is and always will be the king 👑 of NASCAR 😎👍🏻 RIP 🪦
@@captainlarrynosleepfishing5350 he was the Kyle Busch of his era. Hungry, aggressive and will wreck you for a win.
Simply the best true racer Nascar has ever seen.May God bless all of his friends and family.

The lack of cell phones in the crowds is amazing, they are so engaged and involved in the outcome of the race waving their arms and hats... such a different time to be alive.

Dale was The Emperor of NASCAR
No one will ever be like dale Earnhardt at talladega. Just dominated that track and will always find a way to win from the back. We will never have another driver like dale.
dale jr was from 01-04

Words cant express how much I miss this man. Nascar needed Dale, without him its never been the same. Hats off to Jr. for doing the best he could to fill his daddies shoes.
Filling the shoes of a giant is a tough ask of anybody. Dale Jr. did his best and all of us Earnhardt fans are proud and appreciative of his efforts to carry on and give us a reason to watch still having an Earnhardt on the track to root for. We miss you Dale. RIP

He really knew how to work that side draft.. better then most
The October Win in 2000, in that Black 3 Car, was the best win on a Superspeedway by the GOAT Superspeedway Driver
The Greatest Of All Time, Dale Earnhardt!
absoulutely
No doubt
I say Gordon, but we all have an opinion
@@Ob1tuber difference is those saying earnhardt is Nascars greatest are actually correct
@@nascarandrc8296 an opinion is what you personally feel, and I say Cale Yarborough is the best
Even though Jeff Gordon has won 12 restrictor/superspeedway races, the Intimidator WILL ALWAYS BE MR. RESTRICTOR PLATE. Ten interesting facts about Earnhardt's record at Talladega:
1.) The car he swept the races with in 1990 was used in both races at Daytona, almost winning the 500 (still hurts) and winning the Pepsi 400.
2.) He and Darrell Waltrip (1982) are the only drivers to sweep the races on their way to winning the championship.
3.) All-time lap leader in the track's history.
4.) He and Davey Allison are the only drivers to win at Talladega without and with the plate.
5.) Won the Spring event 3 times, and the July/October event 7 times.
6.) Second oldest winner at age 49 behind Harry Gant who was 51 when he won in May 1991.
7.) Despite the Spring event falling on his birthday several times, he failed to win on his birthday.
8.) Only racetrack that he scored at least 10 wins at.
9.) Eight of his ten wins came after the plate was implemented.
10.) Four of his final six career wins came in plate races: 1998 Daytona 500, 1999 Talladega Sweep, and the 2000 Winston 500.
We miss you Dale, there will never be another driver with your brash, bold, and skillful maneuvers of what you did in a stock car. I also can't believe you would be 70 this coming April 29th. Thank you for watching over the drivers who suffer violent accidents every weekend.
That 1990 car was the best hotrod Big E ever had at Daytona & Talladega, also won his Gatorade 125 that year as well as the pole for the DieHard 500 later at Talladega & just missed out on winning the pole for the Daytona 500. Gordon has the most Cup wins with the plate on the engine BUT Dale Sr has the most combined Cup wins total at both tracks as well as the most wins period, a record that will probably never be duplicated or broken. Bobby Allison & Bill Elliott are the only drivers to win at Daytona with & without the plate. Bobby's last 3 wins were at Daytona & Talladega. 4 of Cale Yarborough's final 9 victories were at Daytona & Talladega. 3 of Richard Petty's final 8 victories were at Daytona & Talladega. The theme here is that as these guys got older, they all got better at these tracks at knowing when to make moves and being positions to win.
Fun fact #11) his son won it 4 times in a row, a record nobody has been able to beat.
Dale Earnhardt was the king of Talladega!
Yup . That time was the pinnacle of stock car racing . I've saw every Super Bowl , so I been watchin a long time . The coolest was to grow up in the muscle car era and the bloom of Rock and Roll. Somehow I missed the free love generation. Musta had my head stuck under an SS hood.
Every time I watch one of these big E tributes I always wish he'd have got out of the car at the last race of 2000 season completely drained and announced his retirement. Telling all of us he's just gonna focus on DEI and his family. I lost my daddy a few months later so I try not to think about 2001 much.
Dale Sr has been a hero to all of us
Just shows how fearless he was and although we look up to him, he once told a kid to not end up like him in terms of mistakes and be what he would have done had he not been so stubborn
The best driver to ever sit in a race car ,sure miss ya Dale!! You'll always be my hero.
Dale Earnhardt Sr. The best in the bussiness, period💪🏼
The roar of the crowd as Earnhardt takes the lead on the front stretch…he was awesome!
Dales not dead he’s just a lap ahead.
He sure is mate
The interesting thing is watching him use the moves and the air back in the 80s and early 90s that they think they have “discovered” over the last decade. Way ahead of his time.

Nobody will ever be that amazing at Talladega again. Kudos my hero.
The Intimidator rest in peace
If NASCAR didn’t implement restrictor plates, how good would Dale have been at the super-speedways
Such a legend man and always enjoy watching your old races. Sucks you’re gone but rest easy Dale!
If it hadn’t been for him, I’d never been a fan from 1989 till you all went pc correct. I’m glad I seen Chase Elliott win the Championship last year. RIP to you NASCAR.....
Late in his career if Earnhardt didn't crash at talladega you knew he would win or finish in the top 3. I was very fortunate to see him win there late in his career. It was truly the Dale Earnhardt show at talladega back then.
Dale, Sir, you are the best and we miss you!! R.I.P
Every one of the finishes as exciting as the day they happened. This fan has a huge smile on her face. We miss you Dale!!!💞💜💞💜

That last win I remember the fan he was paired with in the no bull 5 looked just like Dale. His name was Frank and Dale pulled him up on the window sill of the car to celebrate. I'm sure a moment Frank will never forget.
A man that knew how to drive this racetrack and he won 10 times
RIP Dale Sr (1951/2001)😥🙏
There are some really good drivers (or people in any sport really) these days, many of them superstars... but only a very very few will reach legend status as Dale or Richard did.

Watching this today as Jeffery bring the 3 car to Talladega being driven by an Earnhardt again! Get this win JE!
He almost did...I was pulling for him hard for sure...
TY. DALE.
Earnharts win of this race, has to be one of the best races I've watched him race, even above the Daytona 500.! Just wished he would have worn the Hans safety devise that he insisted that his son worn, in future races, maybe we wouldn't have lost Sr. When we did.!
As a fan of sr.i really wanted to see a 1.2 finish with him and jr in cup like that one iroc race in 2000
And then his son won it 4 times in a row, a record that still stands.
Great video, though a little sad they took out the tribute to Senna after the '94 win.
Rest in peace Imtiminator
See. You dont need a wreckfest or a 3 wide finish to have a good Dega race.
Awesome

@@DixytheGoat9 Atlanta too
Dale Sr. dedicated his 1994 Talladega win to the late Ayrton Senna, whose death happened on just about the same day as that race itself…
The original piped piper
Wonder if Dale spent that last million
I know a lot of people disliked him, the way he could navigate traffic and use every single thing to his advantage...it was impressive. Daytona and Talladega were just tracks where he had something others didn't. I remember my dad cussing and pitching a fit every time something went wrong in the Daytona 500. Then he did it...and Dad wasn't watching...I ran to the garage and told him...and he thought I was playing a joke on him. He saw the news later on and asked why I didn't come get him sooner...and I told him "I didn't want you to jinx it." Plus I was recording it so he got to see it anyway. He didn't find it funny lol.
He was the best Rip.
🐐
Earnhardt talks like my grandpa
What a legend! Sorry but Earnhardt and Richard Petty didn’t really “compete” against each other. DALE IS THE ABSOLUTE KING OF NASCAR!!
Oh man
Spoiler alert Dale SR wins 💪
lets go
👍
Dale driving a T bird? Lol
the best were both in 99, walking around the outside of that lame 88 both times
Damnit if he didn't have such rotten luck at Daytona he'd have won about 10 races there as well, shoulda won at least 4 Daytona 500's in the 90's alone...
Besides being the Greatest Driver Of All Time, his dominance at Daytona and Talladega was so much better than any other driver, he was STATISTICALLY MORE LIKELY TO WIN THAN FINISH WORSE THAN FIFTH.
Gordon was better than Earnhardt
@@nascarandbowlingfan3888 93 beats 76. If nascar doesn’t screw up the points system Jeff would end up with 7 (04, 07, 14)
@@nascarandbowlingfan3888 you don’t know if Dale would win the championship in 01. We know that Jeff would have in 04 07 and 14 because he did under the old point system. It’s not a hypothetical like you have.
@@GoDawgs18 you're smoking crack!
@@GoDawgs18 i know 3 things gordon never accomplished that earnhardt did. gordon did not win his first championship the year after his rookie of the year title. he never won 10 races at talladega and never won 7 championships. and if one eyed irvan hadnt turned into marlin at talladega in 96 injuring earnhardt he would have clinched the 8th that year. because he had big point lead going in that race. and if he hadnt got killed he would have got the 8th in 01 because he damn near did in 2000. also he came very close to the 8th in 95 at atlanta, if marlin would have stayed out one more lap not making a green flag stop earnhardt would have passed gordon preventing him from leading the lap he needed to win. because earnhardt did what he needed to do to win. lead the most laps and won the race at 183 mph breaking his own record speed of 177 in 93. and that was on the old atlanta configuration
The late 80s through the 90s was the best era for Nascar. The drivers all had their own personalities, unlike today where everyone is fake as hell (except Kyle Busch who acts like a human being and everyone hates him for it...) They didn't censor themselves to look good to their corporate overlords. They said what was on their mind. Good or bad, it was REAL. Then Jeff Gordon comes along with his squeaky clean image and ruins everything for everyone. After he showed up, the PC era of Nascar began. By the time 2000 rolled around, Nascar was a pathetic shell of its former self. Now it just sucks.
No Kyle Busch acts like a child and everyone hates him 4 it he's a childish sore loser man-child
