I’d say have a special preorder for NSO members who have been subscribed for a certain amount of time. One console per an account. This makes it harder for scalpers to grab them up. I don’t want to wait 3 months to be able to buy one.
Sell a maximum of units to be sold at different time intervals, but have where people with an existing Nintendo account can be alerted when they can be pre-ordered. This could help prevent scalpers from buying multiple so if they go out for a time interval. And only also if someone wants to buy more than three systems they must have an existing family Nintendo account.
I just renewed my membership to Gamestop. I'm on their waiting list for a chance to preorder the Nintendo switch 2 console. When preorders for the Nintendo switch 2 console begins. Hopefully I'll get the Nintendo switch 2 on day one.
My biggest fear is not being able to get mine day one because I’ve already signed up for GameStop’s emails portal and I’m planning on pre-ordering mine
and why would not having one day 1 be so abhorrent to you. The fear of missing out? that is a marketing plan that conditions people to think they need to get things immediately.

4:20 -- People that were doubting the Switch back then were foolish. The moment I saw that reveal trailer in October of 2016, and saw it "switch" from a console to a handheld, I got excited because I knew it meant all the Zeldas would be on it. No more having to buy a handheld just for one or two Zelda games. I had to buy a 3DS for A Link Between Worlds, etc. They just collect dust, I never really liked the handhelds, I only bought them for Zelda. So when I saw that reveal trailer, I knew it meant all the Zelda going forwards could be on this one console and it made me really happy.
i'll pre-order mine but i dont care if i have to wait a day or two for it, i've got many games taht i didnt play day one and i'm prety good at avoiding spoilers, but for the switch 2; getting to know everything before i get it in my hands will just hype me up more!
Took me over a year to find a Switch OLED for retail price, and even longer for the Series X. I doubt I'll be able to find a Switch 2 in store until 1-2 years after launch. 😭
I'm planning to do what I did for the original Switch, preorder from a smaller retailer the minute it goes live. Less chance of a stampede at smaller sites because everyone is busy at the huge ones.
My idea is simple: you need to have normal nintendo account and when you will be pre ordering it you will request a code from your account to put into pre order and its only one code per account. I know there still be some people trying to make multiple accounts but that way they will definetly slow them down and we who already have a account and want a new console will have a easier way to just get it
Of course people who already have switches love the idea of it only being available to them first but from a business standpoint that's TERRIBLE. You ALWAYS want to get new customers in the door and by turning them away that's immediately gonna put a bad taste in their mouths and open the chance of them just going with another gaming system. 🤷🏻♂️

@@ActualAero tbh. I am not that afraid of scalpers. They already announced to prevent scalpers. So buying like 10 switch 2 is a big risk for scalpers. There will be less room for scalping. and devices and technology are high risk of losing value when there is big stock. Look at the wii. its not worth much and it was heavely scalped

Maybe allow anyone with a switch 1 online to preorder it on their switch. Or at least give us a headstart. It would cut down on scalpers as well
