It's refreshing to hear a reviewer with the right notes, tones, chops and composing abilities. You guys are few and far between, believe me !!! Nice review too. I was getting a bit disinterested in this processor until seeing this video. It actually can sound good !! The guitar was even in tune. Dude, yer killin' me. Nice intro/closer. A+

I´m very happy with my MG-30!!! I hope that in future updates NUX can improve the algorithm to modify the pitch of the whammy or maybe even make a dedicated pedal like THE DROP from Digitech or the VIRTUAL CAPO used on Line6 processors, nowadays a lot of different tunings are used and it would be great to have something well, the whammy pedal can do this function but definitely the algorithm used introduces a lot of artifacts, with the power of this unit, I'm sure much better results can be achieved! Please think about it!!!!

@@nuxaudio I love the MG-30 also, perfect for me! What I would love to hear, is real stereo mod fxes other than DETUNE. In mono they are not producing any mod fx, even the ST. CHORUS. DETUNE is real stereo, in fact it is almost enough, but via PA system, it would be better to have more stereo fxes. It is a great multi, unbelievably good...
@@nuxaudio Hopefully you can make use of the two switches of the MG30 to be assignable on other pedals. Like a stomp mode. incase we don't want to use the 2 external footswitches
Until that happens try the Electro Harmonix pitch fork 1st gen. Into the front of the amp first in the signal chain. It’s a polyphonic pedal that goes 12 above and Below and harmonizes. You can hook an expression pedal to it.
NEW Firmware and SCENES!! Another nice idea (to future firmwares) external footswitch A/B can be change presets, and the other 3 footswitches in the board can be scene1 scene2 or scene3 respectively AND maybe activate EXP another SCENE 4 :P is a dream. PLEASE!

So the engine is powerful, the sound is exceptional, but switching presets is still up and down only. So if I need to jump between two presets, I have to press twice and every preset sound would immediately ON even though I only pass through them (not the preset I need at that moment), in a live setting for example.
The only thing that is holding me back from purchasing this is its limited number of cab IRs. I already have a Mighty Plug Pro and it has many more cab IRs built in each well matched to the built in amp sims. Can anyone recommend a good and inexpensive collection of cab IRs that would work well with the MG30 and match the variety already built in to the MP-3?

Cool.. but my MG30 foot switches doesn't work sometimes and also overlaps while switching. Example 2A to 2C directly. Facing difficulties during Gigs because of the foot switches..
I'm interested in this multifx. So far it has a beautiful aesthetic look, great functionality and an easy to use interface on the board as well as the computer program. The only thing that bothers me is the very short looper time. Is there a way to have longer loops?
Buy a proper looper.
@@johnpaulirvine5845 i did. A ditto looper. Haven't used it much though. So far it's a nice-to-have.
@@ikealamp53 I doubt if NuX will ever increase the loop time as it's most likely built in. I have the Boss RC-500 which I got to replace my RC-300 which I struggled with; the RC-500 is a bit better, but I still find it confusing regarding timing and syncing tracks. I'd go for the Headrush Looper if I had the cash!
@@johnpaulirvine5845 yeah i kinda changed my mind on the whole multi effect thing. I already have a boss katana with a million options to play with and the Boss OD200 hybrid drive pedal for another amp. Im better off improving my actual playing instead of buying more gear.

Thanks for the detailed video. I was wondering if it would be possible to assign NMP-2 with A and B to bank up and down and the footswitches on the pedal from left to right assigned to change patches, ie, 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1D (double press control switch). So when I press B, then 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D are available, and so on. This would be much better for a live situation.

I already saw this video and respect Vinai T. I researched and knew about MG-30's speck well. Waiting MG-30's debut in Japan from Aria 笑. Of course I know he is HELIX user. POD GO is the best value for money now. So I compare MG-30 with POD GO now. Including sounds and operability.
How does it compare in to pod go in tones??

At last, I got HX Stomp. Because I want parallel and FX loop. MG-30 is good but I suppose MG-40 will release later. If you want see the strict comparison, you can see them on Leo Gibson channel.

I purchased Nux mg 30 2 months ago and I'm facing output issue from 1st day
The processor has issues with output jacks.
The problem is -
The left (mono) channel sounding Left only
The Right channel is also sounds Left
So basically there is no Mono sound and there is no Stereo sound
And even if i play drum loop the drum loops is also sounding left
So there is problem with sound output.
Please help me out
Dealers can't getting my point.
They just giving me that same faulty product again and again

@@san_dzo в наушниках хорошо, правда у меня Akg mk2 240, они мониторные. В обычных должно быть тоже неплохо, и можно подстроить под себя, так как есть настройка пред и пост эквализации в главных настройках процессора. Тоже довольно удобно, например если гитара слишком жирный или слишком резкий звук выдаёт.

There are acoustic amps built into the MG-30 so you can use an acoustic with the MG-30 no problem.

Hi ! I have a little question :) It's possible to record a first loop base, with 1 or 2 overdub. And after to play with drum etc. And after, to stop ONLY the loop for playing solo with the drum. And to restart the same basic loop when you want ? Just to put the loop in pause for few minutes. Thanks for your answer
How do you compare this unit against the old Digitech RP500?
The Nux MG 30 uses new IR technology so it is much better. I can talk because I already had a rp 500 and any Zoom G Series is better than it.

I use the 4 cable method in my amp, but I noticed that the output mode equalization greatly influences the sound. Is there any way to turn off the output equalization or make it flat?
Even disengaging all effects, preamp and IR, the sound is very different from the natural when i use just the amp, and this makes it bad,no matter how much I adjust the EQ in the output mode or pre eq. Please can you help me?

When you use 4CM method with a digital modeller, you introduce 2 rounds of AD-DA conversion, and potentially grounding issues. The better the converters, the less difference you notice. I used 4CM with axe-fx and a Mark IV for the longest time, and still wasn't seeing the "flat"ness you're talking about. There is simply too much complexity using this setup - balancing out the input/output volumes, grounding issues, gain staging, etc. Which is why I simply just run a Kemper now into an FRFR and my studio monitors. Much simpler.

Hello. I have two questions about Nux MG-30 product.
Can I use an external wah pedal simultaneously with NMP-2 Switch?
Can I use NMP-2 switch as a continuous part of the Nux MG-30 for using like a patch mode? For example, 1. and 2. patch will come from Nux, 3. and 4. patch will come from NMP-2 switch. So I can have 4 patches on board like 1-2-3-4.
