Bought one over the weekend. Was concerned about lugging around ten pounds (Female, 5' 2", 60+). The balance of the machine and the battery make it very manageable. Love the whisper feature. It easily moved smallish branches and leaves. The low setting is a must on the driveway for creating a pile to sweep up. Had to balance blowing and bagging to allow plenty of recharge time for the battery.
Wow! I got that Gen 1, or 2, 40v turbo blower. That thing is a beast but it had an issue. A single pine tree straw got sucked into the intake (which should have had a screen to protect that from happening) and stripped the motor's spindle from the "plastic bushing" and rendered my blower blowless! [Reason why I know so much about the inner workings is because after disassembling the unit over 6 times using various glues & epoxies I finally found the winner which totally fixed my blower saving me $$$] Locktite 👎 Liquid Nails👎 J B Weld👎 Super Glue👎 Gorilla Glue 👎 Gorilla Super Glue Gel👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Brooo You had me crying when you were blowing the pool and you said "And this is why my neighbors think I'm Crazy" You are killin it B, Giving my guys at VCG a run for the money. Keep spinning them blades!
This is great. Ego and Toro needs competition to keep them pushing the limits. Good job Ryobi. In general I absolutely am loving the whole battery powered line of home improvement tools. Case in point, my wife and daughter actually like using my Ego single stage snow blower to clear the driveway, HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!! LOL.
Just spoke with Ryobi today… They have been promising the release date at Home Depot “coming soon”, which has been ongoing for months. They said it would be in mid to late September… they have Labor Day specials coming out as well and indicated that things could change & this could be released as soon as Labor Day… I will be purchasing one to add to the 40V brushless platform…
I'm trying to decide between this and the Ridgid being that I'm already deeply invested in the Ridgid lineup. Conflicted even after watching both of your videos.
I am watching this on a Saturday night instead of watching a movie. You are funnier than most stand up comedians I have watched. I love your sense of humour and will troll through your collection from here on. Great review by the way. Subscribed 🤙
Wow. I have the current brushless 550cfm and thought that was powerful. Use it to dry my cars. This new model will probably blow my side view mirrors off. Reeeobi is gonna do some crazy stuff with their 40v line. This is a good time for tool lovers, DIY'ers and Pros alike.
That bloody insane, I have been waiting for them to make one this powerful So I dont have to fire up my stihl petrol blower. Cheers for the review mate
I think Ryobi needs to start making other tools like recip saws & circular saws, demolition hammers and other heavy duty power tools using their 40v platform,I think that would be a great business move for them and I think people would be quick to jump on if they already have Ryobi 40v outdoor power equipment, thoughts? 🤔
Hey Clint, Rick from Ryobi. You told me you wouldn't put our conversation on UA-cam. Now that wasn't reel nicelike. And you creating those that tsunami in the pool. 🤣 lol. That looks like a nice blower.
yes, i'm 'thinking' about it.. how is the balance of the unit? Does it automatically point downward or do you have to 'force' it downward... no one has addressed this question that I've found... BTW, thanks for great videos!
Great video. Love mine. So impressed with the power. Stay off the top speed as it will drain the battery fast but you only need that power level occasionally so it should last for most purposes.
It would be cool to see you do a comparison between the most powerful hand held 18v vs. 40v blower. I have an 18v and with an 18v battreeee and I'm curious if it's worth jumping to the 40v platform.
I will take the Pepsi challenge with my discontinued Jonserend leaf blower. You can put a giant battery from Poulon on it for $40 on eBay that was made to run a mower. 900 cfm and 1200 turbo with 3 hours of run time. Total cost $150. Do it diy guys! I literally use it as snow blower.
Love your demo. Very precise and informative. Just bought one 2 days ago. Not used yet but your information was helpful. By the way saw the name "Nass" on your t-shirt. My name is "Nass" also from the Frank Nass line in Schenectady, NY.
Ok... it’s time Clint, for another sit down discussion.... It’s time. Time to add a new segment to your channel: Tool Review Test Raw, or as I think of it TR2 (or TR squared), don’t ask me where I came up with the idea 😂. Your prior video was of all the EGO stuff, and now the Ryobi. Go for the head to head blower testing! Even invite your evil side to help you! Which Clint blows the best! Whatcha think?
How does this unit compare to the Greenworks 80V, 2ah, brushless blower(also marketed in the Midwest through Menards under their house brand, MasterForce)?
The $300 price tag is kind of steep. The Ego 650 CFM blower with ten amp hour battery is definitely more powerful. The Ryobi blower is also almost half as loud. With the 190mph nozzle the CFM goes way down.
how do you know, i own the ego 650 and the greenworks 700cfm unit and they are close but using my anemometer the greenworks wins with the same size orifice, barely
Is it better than Milwaukee I have two batteries I’m still debating because the batteries unless that long comparisons with the Milwaukee where is it good to know

That’s real nass like Clint! Great video 👍 @KiteArmy You need to include this blower at your next Beachball blower bonanza! This one should give Ego a run for it’s money!
@@JamesMKE LOL, he does love his Ego OPE, that’s for sure. I’d like to think he’d give this Ryobi a fair shot and acknowledge defeat, if the Ryobi ends up being a better blower overall.

Basically the same company just different colors.

Is 730 CFM no 750 CFM
The downside is the battery in turbo last about 7 minutes, wish it was at least 10.
Either your a small guy or that battery is massive!

Ryobi stepping up the game.

That Ryobi blow some hot air woohoo
750 cfm ain't shabby!!
