As a carpet cleaner, these type of machines are used all wrong. What you should do is create a separate spray bottle with water cleaner mixture, spray the vacuumed surface and scrub with a brush. Then you fill your unit with fresh water and use the fresh water in the unit to rinse away the cleaning solution From the carpet. If you put the cleaning solution in your machine, any damp residue will contain cleaning solution and water, which when it dries will become sticky. This will attract more dirt after the cleaning.
Thank you!
Thanks for that tip
So, as long as you have a small extractor nozzle, any wet/dry shopvac will do the job.
@@chrisgraham2904 not exactly. You need a stream of fresh water to rinse the cleaner out of the fabric. Wet/dry vacuum only pulls out debris and extra moisture. But the residual moisture is soapy water.
Spraying water on stain, scrubbing and using shop vac will leave no soapy residue. Since you don’t use soap
getting more and more impressed with Ryobi and their stuff, decent price and so many tools
I used to be an electrician back 4 years ago and Milwaukee was the thing then, and honestly now. I just buy Ryobi, almost half the price and I don't have a single ryobi tool that have broken down on me. And I use it a lot. I'm impressed with it.
Your version of a nasty dirty car is so different from mine! I have 4 kids, 2 dogs and an actual filthy car. The portable cleaner looks great though. I should probably get one.
Looks just like the Hoover CleanSlate. The attachments, interchange with each other.
Ryobi should come up with an in between wand head and it will be just about perfect.
Great review, good job Ryobi.
Awesome. I bet the RAM logo would whiten up real mass like if yinz saturate it with cleaning solution, agitate with a brush, let it sit for a minute or two, then extract. Might take a few passes but should be worth a try. (I used to watch AMMO NYC detailing videos but it’s been a while.)
What I realized from watching this is that all vehicles need to come with some sort of trash receptacle chute to a bin under the floor and absolutely WeatherTech floor mats. I also have a Ram Laramie and replaced the floor mats the second I brought the truck home. Living in a cold climate on a dirt road WeatherTech is a necessity.
bissell little green machine although not cordless is amazing for cleaning the car it was famous on TIK TOK during COVID so I picked one up and I use it to clean my car seats and mats all the time.
I have a Hoover that I’ve been using, it’s for the most part just like this except it’s corded. It marketed for cleaning up after pets but I bought it to clean my truck. This ryobi seams to pull just as much as my Hoover and the convenience of not having the cord would be real nice like
Good evening ! 👍 man , I think I need that ! I’m not sure who makes more of a mess in our vehicles, the wife or our 4 yr old daughter ! 😂
I hear ya brother 🤣👊👊
Nice demo of that "Ree-obi" not "rye-obi", "ree-obi" not "rye-obi" tool. Lol!
I have no idea why I subscribed to this Channel. But now I’m glad I did!
WOW! Great commercial & I want one. Great for small spills & don’t need to take out the big one. Wonderful for the RV.
You got my portable carpet cleaner ryobi was supposed send me let me talk guy keeps sending my packages your house jk 😂
I'll definitely make sure I send it back and have them re-ship it to ya string 😎👊
It’s amazing that the same company that makes Ryobi (not Ryobi) makes Rigid and Milwaukee power tools.
Cove to think of it, it isn't...
I have the bissel one of t his version and I get payed to clean chairs seats couches with bissel spot and stain these portable cleaners are so dope
It’s like Hoover with a ryobi label on it :)
Make sure you let all of that dry before you store it
The nooks aren't too bad, but i totally hate when things get stuck in my crannies.
That’s why I had mine removed.
@@CldBroccoli I hope you have them in a jar of formaldehyde to show 'em off ! 🤗
You should’ve used the crevasse tool. Gets right inside the crannies.
@jacktyler5241
Except being a wet dry vac I used it to clean up a dropped glass bottle of hot sauce, glass shards and hot sauce are a no go in MY crannies. ... but might be humorous to watch someone else ... any volunteers? Wait for me to get the video camera set up. And the audio levels set for hot sauce in cranny cuts level of screaming.
When you flipped the crevice tool to suck up the water I wanted one.
That thing is sweet
They literally have the best team figuring out what we need before we even figure out what we need. Their R&D team is head and shoulders ahead of any others (Outside of TTI of course)!
Actually, TTI owns Ryobi (not Ryobi 😉😅). For my needs, I buy Ryobi, I do not need to spend extra on red tools that have (more or less) the same internals as Ryobi ones. Unlesd you were being sarcastic, and I missed it, at which piont ignore me 😅🤦♂️
Welp... another tool I didn't know I actually really needed lol
Wife wants so I’ll probably order day it is out.
Let me know how you like it brother
Are they in stores now?
This isnt how they are used correctly, but it is how everyone uses them
So good to see a good representation of it
All my Ryobi batteries started singing like angles on high when I showed them this video. Guess Ryobi has some of my coins coming their way- like real nice like.
Hahaha, great comment 🤣👊👌
This could possibly be the one to finally get me into the Ryobi line. They've got many cool niche tools that I've thought would be cool to have anyway. This thing looks pretty shweeet
Oh dear god, don’t. There are so many other good Ryobi products . Don’t let a battery powdered vacuum be your first
@@jamesbizs 👍
The mister fan is the bomb too
They do make a lot of cool stuff. I prefer milwaukee, of course lol, but ryobi is great for specialty or cheap tools when big red is Mia or too greedy!
@@jonschlottig9584you know Ryobi owns Milwaukee? 😂😂
Now they gotta make a hot water steam vacuum for upholstery that would be awesome
Its not battery powered but if you're impressed with this then check out the new Bissell Little Green Hydrosteam. It's a cleaner/extractor with the added function of steam.
Myself and my friend Eric are sold. Oh yes, it will be mine!
Sawheeen
Wow, I wish this existed months ago when I bought the little Bissell carpet cleaner 120v version I have now. This would have been perfect for me. Oh well. I'll subscribe, since I have a RAM 1500 too. 😁
You definitely need to practice you trigger control brother.
🤣🤣👊👊
You definitely need to practice your grammar, brother.
Thank god for all weather floor mats.
This would be even better had they made this one of their "hybrid" tools that you can use with a battery or plug into the female end of an extension cord
Hoover has a similar version with the same functionality that is cordless or corded. I don't have any Ryobi 18v tools so I might go with the corded CleanSlate Pro Portable Carpet and Upholstery Spot Cleaner for 114.99 at Home Depot. If I needed a cordless I would go with the Ryobi. It's not worth an additional hundred for something that won't be used often and where I can hook up an extension cord easily.
You could just use a soap filled spray bottle, a scrub brush and a Ryobi one+ wet dry vac.
It's like the hoover clean slate pet spot cleaner....but more powerful.
I need to get my Rem pick’m up truck’ carpet Kleened also. I don’t have little kids to hall around, so there’s no xtra trash in the nooks & crannies. Kids & Grandkids are grown, don’t own anything with four legs either to make messes. In the cab I haul me, my wife, groceries, etc. I sure wish Ry-o-bee would make a 18v coffee pot. Keep’m coming
James 🤣🤣👊
Hell yeah, battery-powered coffee maker! Sweet deal!
Looks like a great tool. I would recommend using a separate drill brush attachment to actually brush the area to be cleaned and then just use this tool to suck the water back up. The one bad thing I see is that is has a very similar hose to the one in the Bissel line and I have had two hoses break on me. The tend to break close to the actual brush head. The repair is expensive. I wish they would use a hose similar to that on the Rigid vac. They last forever. Thanks for the vid!
Ditto. Hose broke on our Bissell at the handle. No amount of DIY can fix it.
@@butchgreene we rigged it with some duck tape but its only a temp fix...
You mentioned "They last forever." Are you referring to the Rigid Vac or the Ryobi? Much Thnx
@@jdw3575 the rigid vac hose is really durable.
Hard to tell how well it's actually working with a clean vehicle to begin with.
And why do you think my vehicle is so clean to begin with.....😏
That's pretty amazing from Ryobi.
It’s real nice like to have a clean crevice 👍
As a pro cleaner i love when these things come out they keep me in business. 😂😂
How if people will be using these things instead of calling you?
Want one 🤞love it v nice like 👌
Just don't buy it from Direct Tools Outlet, unless you're OK with not being sure of what you're getting. Google the company for more info.
Never seen any problems with them other then refurbished shit getting obliterated by fedex
@@bread-gz3rl The "problems" start when you have a problem. Also, the price on RY124052KVNM went from $209 to $126 in three days. Cost and blemish cannot account for the difference. Try to return a product?
I don't doubt many have had no problems, but when I read google, reddit, and BBB reviews I got a much different impression of this company.
Glad I found and subscribed! Thank you sir.
I’m definitely gonna consider this cleaner for sure! Is it wrong of me to like your videos before I watch them or know what they are about….nah it’s just real naas like!! Lol
Hahaha 😆👊👊
@@ToolReviewZone I’m sorry for being a TRZ “like” button smeesher slooot! Yeah, I kept it PG just in case….but I know you know what I mean…lol!
@txvet7738 hahaha appreciate you tx👊👊👊👊
Looks pretty good to me.Put it on Santa's list this Christmas. Thanks for review !!
For best results when using the standard wide shampooer brush your supposed to press the trigger spray and slowly pull the brush towards you against the carpet. This sprays the cleaning solution then the brush loosens the dirt and then the front nozzle area sucks the dirt and solution into the dirty water tank.
The hose-rinse attachment is a smart idea
I have a spot cleaner and learned the hard way that if I don't pass through about 1/2 gallon of clear water (a la like a dry/wet vac) after I use it the inside of the hose can get pretty gunky. Especially cleaning gunk off car carpets. Kids spill juice, pop, etc. It keeps the hose "nice-like"
My only wish would be why didnt they make it a hybrid?
And his truck is brand new!
Wow! I can't even find it on Google in my country!
Does it heat the water and solution? If not then it would be more effective if it had.
No, I just add warm water before I use it
I picked up a couple of batt-ries during the Home Depot Ryobi Days deals. I may have to grab one of these. Thanks Clint.
I wonder how it compares to the bissell spotclean
This is identical to the Hoover Cleanslate Pro I got from HD for $89. I keep that in the house, then use a shop vac in the car.
Nice, be careful spraying the front seat of cars. Some have a occupant sensor in them. They are expensive to replace. GM wanted almost $600 for the part not including labor and sales tax. I ended up bypassing the sensor. I drove it that way up until the head gasket went out then I scrapped it.
I bought their lawn sprayer last week, cut my spraying time in half! I lak it a lot!
I would use a pump sprayer to apply the soap solution and a drill attachment brush to do the scrubbing, then extract.
This will definitely replace my corded Bissell vac. It works great, but the cord is always getting in the way and that’s not real naas like. Plus, I like the longer hose of the Ryobi. They’ve done it again!
:sad pikachu:
I’m thinking the same thing. I recently bought my wife a Bissell for the indoor carpet and rugs that I also planned to use on the cars. I think I like this better for the cars though.
Ryobi be rocken. I'll tell what I'll do Clint. I will let you buy me one of those Ri obi not Ryobi scrubbers, now I don't let just anyone buy me things. 🤣🤣🤣💪
Hahaha, you are a great man Rick...thank you 🤣🤣👊👊
0:55 "politely asked"
Man I hope Milwaukee makes something similar or else I’m gonna need to buy a ryobi battery and charger lol
I'm so glad I got into the Ryobi line a few years ago- Direct Tools Outlet was the primary reason, but now I look forward to a visit to Big Orange from time to time to see what Ryobi has come up with now. Of course I get that advance look by watching Tool Review Zone! Real Nass Like!
Thanks, just needed a reason to drop down to Bunning's our Ryobi dealer, Cheers
😂nah I'm good with my Bissell don't have to wait on recharging or replacing batteries and it cleans like a champ
2:57 Two springs, a winter and a summer? How does that work?
I did carpet cleaning for years...all that soap is gonna attract dirt faster. What you should do is use a bucket with carpet cleaner solution (Prochem All Fiber Deep Clean) in it and a brush. In you Ryobi use a low pH rinse and flush out the carpets. You will get a much better result.
Real Nass Like!
How many times did you refill water while using great information in the vid Than you
Did pretty decent cleaning the RAM on the floor mat. A quick scrub made a big difference
How much are these gonna cost?
Shoot I like it! Great video, sold!
My wife wants a bidet in the wc. She may wind up with this beauty. 😂
Ryobi needs a better warranty and their service sucks you have to send it to a
Third party to get it fixed that is the only issue with ryobi
2:18 "A half tank would come out to... Half of that" 😅
🤣🤣🤯🤯🤯
I could see this being utilized by mobile car detail businesses.
I thought the same thing. I think we're correct.
Better solution for cleaning your floor mats: Since they are out of your vehicle, just hang them on a fence (clamps work), and then fire up your Ryobi pressure sprayer and have at it. It is much faster and does a better job cleaning. Let them drip-dry for a bit and throw them back in your truck, or car, or whatever.
Dude I busted up laughing about the cleaning up after the kids in the truck thing! I can totally relate!
Loll, it's the worst Dan 😪🤣👊
We enjoyed your presentation. You did a fabulous job. We love Ryobi.
Thanks Sandy!!!!
I have been anxiously awaiting this.
Ryobi are wack cheap tools . Period
really need to spray and let it soak
Their grass trimmers need improvement mine broke in 2. Days.
"If you have kids, pets, a house, a car"
Me whose single, lonely, homeless and broke: 😔💔
Duly noted, keep the booger hook off the squirty switch when changing attachments 😅
Very nass review 👍
🤣🤣👊
You sold me on that vac. I will definitely have to pick one of those up!
Let me know what you think brother 👊
Must not have messy kids cause thats the cleanest water i ever seen come out of a shampooer
Should have seen it yesterday when I dropped the ice-cream from the drive through all over🥺
Ryobi is a Japanese company. the pronunciation is not Rye-obi (like Rye in Rye Bread).. it is actually Riobi (as Rio in Rio Grande - Latin vowel)
Takes two hours to clean and the kids can get it dirty again in 30 seconds 😅😅😅
The Ram white letters on your floor mats I use peroxide to get them nice and white.
I recently purchased the Bissell little green machine that similar to this and love it, works like a champ and it is amazing how dirty the water is after cleaning. I have several 18+ Ryobi tools so wish this were around and probably would gone this route to eliminate cords.
Those are Japanese syllables. RY - YO - BI . The Japanese Katakana syllables are as follows. Ra, Ri, Ry, Ro, Re. Ya, yi, yo, ye. Ba, be, bi, bo. Other letters. Ta, ti, to, te. Ya ye yo ya. So " Toyota " To YO TA . If you are an American who speaks English in America, you say it with English pronunciation rules. If you speak Japanese, you pronounce it the Japanese way. Pronounce ARIGATO any way you want, but z Japanese pronounce it according to their syllables.
I’ve held my tongue long enough. People can like/prefer/use/ whatever is their choice, but ‘cool’ tool or not, a great tool will not be supported by me for a less than honorable company.
I'm going to have to start doing that with Ariens, saying Erins, not Aryans, LOL! That thing might be good, but their snow blowers just suck, lol. You'd be surprised at how many people can't pronounce name brands right, lol. Ryobi, Ariens, Poulan (Yeah, it's like Poland but without the D, not Poo-Lahn, LOL!) But then, a lot of my friends have weird last names too like Boeke, which is apparently pronounced as "Bakey" and Poehlein, which would you believe is pronounced as "Pay-Line"? When/if my old cleaner (Dupray Neat Steamer) ever dies I may try that, but so far I'm pretty satisfied with how well steam does for cleaning.
How much is it? Do you know if it cleans dog hair?
My dog keeps running away from me every time I try to use the shampooer on him.
Thank you!
Impressive machine. I am a Ryobi customer so I'm gonna get this. Thank you!
OK I'm sure it's a great product but ... disappointed my expensive existing 40V Ryobi battery for other Ryobi tools will not fit this.
cool tools BUT Unreliable battery quality with NO customer service. Have fun buying $200 batteries every 2.5 years
