    Tankless water heater install is not to spec. Look up install instructions will say to have some length of copper off the hot side water line. Didn't see the flush valves either for yearly clean out flush.

    Water Heater - Have someone do a nice Propress copper line setup instead of the thrown in pex. Level and plumb, it would look like a Ferrari water heater. Add in a nice stainless vent. The water heater needs some drain valves to facilitate yearly cleaning, a more important task on a tankless

    Dan, if you want to save yourself ALOT of time (2+ hours) and no more buying RESIN, rinse off car, then you can simply put 5 caps of Optimum No Rinse in a 5 gallon bucket of distilled water and wash your car with their Big Red Sponge then use a premium microfiber towel from the RAG Company. Voila', done in 20 minutes in comfort of own garage and no spots.

    Hey Dan, what brand of ramps do you have? My wife just got an LP560-4 Gallardo and we want to get a set for odds and ends if we ever need to get the car off the ground enough to clean under it and also to install a set of composite skid plates under the front bumper. Race Ramps are great but super expensive and if you have this off brand for your 458, they will work for the LP G. Thanks.

    I am just envy. Your garage is just man's heaven, before and after renovation are like your entering different house. Brilliant job, Dan. Light is allways the problem , it isn' t enough, but you have plenty of it at your garage. That waterheater is problem, like your said. Place where it is, are hard to cover, so good luck for solving that, everything what I am trying to think, never working, or looks like sh.t. All your tools are like I wanted, if I have my own garage, easy to find and all where they ment to be, so you don't need to take time to find out where your tools are now. It is joy to waiting your future videos, when you are first time doing it at your new garage.

  • @Patrick94GSR

    Obsessed Garage wall mount pressure washer setup eventually? And yeah you definitely needed to keep the tool box. I wouldn’t put a water heater cabinet all the way out as deep as the tall cabinets, because then it would be basically like the old box out closet that was there before.

  • @allenpiscak8113
    @allenpiscak8113 3 роки тому

    Only thing I would have done different is put all the tools in the cabinets so you don’t have to walk back and forth and honestly it looked better with the tall cabinets on both sides. Also the water heater looks fine. You mounted it on that wall so you could knock down the structure that was there, don’t put it back. Oh and the TV...I would have put it on the wall in front of the cars with a little computer so you can pull up schematics and stuff when working on the car. It’s how I have it setup inside my toolbox at work, it’s so nice not having to walk back and forth while diagnosing.

    Just had an idea: make a painted wood cover for the water heater that you can just hang in place with a French cleat setup. That way it could just lift off and be removed to service the water heater, and it would only need to be a couple inches deeper than the water heater itself.

    Paint the water heater in the same red as everything else. Die the concrete black to blend in with the cabinets. Separate the controls of the red LED strips from the white hex lights so that you can turn off the whites and leave the reds while not in use. It will wow guests when you first open the garage at night. Maybe add a security camera with night vision, just in case.

    Dan, the feet for the cabinets are so you CAN vacuum under the cabinets. with you not putting them on, you have a little room to let small things get under there, but not enough room to vac under it to clean it up. You can do it either way, but if you don't put the feet on, block off the little room you do have so nothing gets under there, or at one point you will be sorry.

    Dan, maybe I missed it from previous episodes, but did you change the garage door out to a truly insulated unit? (I know you put some foam board on the inside at one time.) I heat and cool my garage and the insulated door makes a big difference. Also the garage door needs to be weather-stripped inside and outside as much as possible for air sealing.
    When you talk about the water heater exhaust pipe not being "level", the term is actually plumb. Level is horizontal and plumb is vertical. I'm not criticizing, I'm just being helpful. Keep up the good work....
