    The fact that she recently claimed she is so ALL NATURAL that she has never even worn fake lashes…. Is just sad. She doesn’t owe us anything but with the high number of people who have reported being shamed for their looks by Kim… it’s just hypocritical and cruel especially when she acts like her standards are attainable by anybody….When she is a BILLIONAIRE… ugh, I can’t even with this…

      She has her cosmetic line now so if she says her looks is achievable just by using serums and skin care it sells and that’s the main reason why she’s doing it.

    I was a teen in the 90’s and I don’t remember plastic surgery being such a big thing. It was something older women did to look younger, or maybe just to get one feature tweaked. I myself got a nose job at age 37. Now it seems young women want to change their entire appearance and want multiple procedures done at young ages. It seems extremely unhealthy. There is nothing wrong with getting something tweaked, but having multiple procedures at such a young age is really sad.

    • @iwantabiscuitplz
      @iwantabiscuitplz Рік тому +72

      Totally agreed, especially because now so many of them are teenagers! Their faces haven't even reached their final form yet, and what if the surgeries go wrong? plus it's so depressing that it's becoming the norm for everyone to get surgery and 'tweakments' so young. beauty standards will just continue being ridiculously unattainable as more and more people get these surgeries while erasing their own unique features.

      I was a teen in the early 2000s and it was the same when I grew up. It wasn’t looked down upon if someone changed one thing about themselves that they really hated. Now people want to look like someone else and get soooo many procedures. It’s insane.

      @@iwantabiscuitplz I don't even think any of these women who get all this plastic surgery look good. They all have big fish lips, big chins, hollow cheeks, small little fox eyes (the new trend) and the same nose. It is extremely bizarre looking to me. I feel like so many celebrities are ruining their faces trying to get this look. Examples: ariana grande and megan fox who both looked fine before but messed up their faces with their recent plastic surgery.

    This video has made me happy. I always hated my nose. So at 35, I researched and found the "best" rhinoplasty doctor in Seattle. At the first appointment, I mentioned I have my father's nose. He stopped and said that changing my nose could dramatically change my appearance. I might not look like my relatives, or myself, anymore. I said you mean like Jennifer Gray, and he said yeah, kind of like that. I learned to like my nose.

      When I was going into 9th grade. It was 1980? Summer vacation.
      A friend of mine (who was Mediterranean) had the distinctive nose that ran on her father's side. We were playing baseball. She got hit in the face. She had a few reconstructions.
      (The first one was immediately and emergency and was to assess the trauma). But she had the second one. Was during Christmas/winter recess. We left Dec 16th. Returned to school on Jan 5. Along with weightloss because she couldn't eat from the pain. A new Christmas wardrobe, But mainly her new nose.
      None of us recognized her.
      When she walked in the classroom, none of us knew who she was for at least two days.

    Your comment about mental health and doctors needing to ask about it was so spot on. I decided to have my breast enhanced after breastfeeding my 2 babies. Before children I was a 30E, after children I dropped to a B and really wanted to get my boobs back. I thought it over and made the decision. I was even more comforted and assured when my doctor asked my why and wanted to make sure I was prepared. Just that slight bit of care made all the difference and I went in to surgery feeling safe and cared for by my doctor.

I really wish a dozen or so female celebrities would just admit to everything they’ve had done so other people can get the message that they all do it, and it’s not a big deal. I think that’s the only thing that would help to really change this plastic surgery stigma. It would greatly benefit the next generation of celebrities coming up who won’t have to lie and hide and be shamed for going under the knife...but unfortunately, no one is selfless enough to take one for the team and admit to their work. Yes this please! I have used latisse for 5 years with no issues, but I stopped last week because I found out it can weaken the eyelid muscles and cause fat loss around the eyes, resulting in saggy eyelids and possibly sunken under eyes (I used it for bottom & top lashes). It is usually noticeable within the first 2 years of use, and I haven’t had any negative effects, but I’m not gonna risk it now that I have been informed of the risks. I’m going back to using glue on lashes when I do my make up on the weekends. Not worth the risk. It turns out that even many of these OTC lash serums (like Grande Lash) is having this effect too, so the FDA sent out a bunch of notices to these companies selling non-prescription lash serums, but little is being done about it. I can’t imagine needing an eyelid lift before 45!

    It just amazes me what people are willing to go through for their looks. We are talking injecting neurotoxins into your body to get a look as if it was totally normal. My parents especially mom really pressured me to get plastic surgery when I was young. It's so normal in the Korean culture. I let my mom talk me into eyelid surgery which I totally regret, I think I would have gotten the double eyelid when I lost my baby fat, as I now have my natural line above the unnatural-looking, downward-sloping, surgical line, which looks worse than if I had left it alone. My mom has natural double eyelids. The doctor that did my surgery was not skilled.
    Then they really pressured me to get a nose job, and I totally refused. This was much more risky, not just cutting the fat out of your eyelids. So glad I never let them talk me into that one. I didn't like my nose but learned to be comfortable with it and found that it did not prevent me from being seen as attractive.

I am grateful to see her not caring about aging as she was an incredibly beautiful woman in her youth and has accepted aging. For myself, tho there are things I might like to be different. But, truly, I am not willing to accept how any potential changes, nose, cheek implants, shaving of jaw, etc. could change me, I find it a bit scary.

Look the same. 30 yr old still look like late teens or early to mid 20 yr olds. My mom is 61 and don’t have a sagging neck and all that stuff & she’s had a very hard life full of drug abuse.

    Great video! I have a question though: when you inquire about peoples reasoning for wanting surgery, if they don’t appear to be wanting it for the right reasons, do you turn them away? If so, wouldn’t that just push them to another less caring surgeon, or maybe even a sketchier one? I totally agree with the philosophy of making sure your patients are stable enough to actually make the decision, but I just wonder what happens to those who aren’t.

      Refer out to therapist to help correct “body dysmorphia” then come back with less drastic surgery to make themselves happy and be themselves. Kim’s surgeries IMO were not subtle and were dramatic to look less ethic ie Armenian. She looks drastically different from her original appearance in both facial and bodily appearances. She has NPD and like Madonna won’t stop as she LIVES for the attention and chaos feels like she is nothing w/o it! So sad and desperate yet the tide against her seems to be turning. Ppl are seeing the real Kim now very narcissistic and greedy, much like her mom. ❤️🇺🇸🌹💜✝️🌸

      I'm pretty sure ethically speaking, when someone wants to alter their body, they need to do a psychological evaluation. If there's signs of body dysmorphia, the surgeon should refuse to operate on them.

    • @ALT-vz3jn
      @ALT-vz3jn Рік тому +4

      Yes. The best surgeons are able to turn away patients if they feel they have unrealistic expectations and reasons to do a surgery. Of course the person can always go to a less ethical surgeon or one that isn’t in as much demand and needs to earn more revenue. Some refer their patients to a therapist if they suspect dysmorphia.

    I can totally see and agree with the notion that a decision to have work done to change/fix a feature that has bothered someone for a while, or whole life and the procedure goes well and the patient is happy with the change....... then that patient will walk around with more confidence and a brighter attitude because they will feel better about themselves.
    I'm almost 52 and I don't usually wear makeup much anymore, but even when I did wear it, it was minimal and earth tones, nothing too flashy. Even though I no longer wear it if I'm having a bad day, I can go through my whole morning facial routine(at anytime during the day) and it will lift my mood and make my day go better and easier. It isn't the makeup that makes me feel better, but instead it is me, with a little subtle makeup to enhance my features as they are and making what beauty is there stand out for others to notice/to see!!!
