I had a gum lift in 8th grade, not for cosmetic reasons, but because my gums started growing over my teeth when I had braces and were getting really close to the brackets and wires. It really does change your entire smile!
Dr. Gary, I loved your work! You’ve helped me understand so much about facial plastics, and it’s made me feel safer as a patient of rhinoplasty, dysport, and nasolabial filler. I appreciate you!
This is why I watch these plastic surgery analysis videos. Celebs are humans too except much wealthier than I am and so it's easy for them to get these procedures where they either look drastically different or something feels off but I cant put a finger to it. Miley's gummy smile and her nose were her unique features as well as those hooded eyes. Shame that pressure makes a person get rid of their uniqueness and creates this cycle of insecurity.
I’ve had a gum lift TWICE as a teen due to a dentist recommendation, was more for health than looks but oh Lord was it awful, this crazy doctor even wanted me to do it a third time but the surgeon said no The procedure itself is chill, the problem is one: the smell, it smells like burned human flesh Two: the taste and the INSANE amount of blood during the first two days of recovery Chill but at the same time awful experience
OOH 😲 So sorry, that must’ve been horrible and very painful! Sorry, you had to go through that and here people do it more for their looks and what people think of them, than an actual health concern! 🤔Thanks for sharing your story 🩵That’s very interesting, I’ve never would of thing there was a type of procedure for this. My niece has a gummy smile and I think she’s cute. I call her Gumby, I’m sure you have a beautiful smile too!😃God bless.😃💜💜
@@EduardoValentiyes, maybe that influenced! I’m glad it was better for them, the first time I did it was more than 10 years ago, surely medicine has evolved to make the procediment more comfortable and I was really young so that also might have influenced my view on the experience

Laser can be used if gums cover too much of the teeth! In Miley's case the gum line looks more even and seems to sit closer to the roots but of course, gums can recede with age, aggressive brushing, and even non-removable wire retainers. For some people, their gummy smile results from the length of the bone behind the philtrum.
I love Miley's personality and character aside fr her pretty face and never-ending legs. I hope she will not submit to endless facial surgeries to the point where she could look overly done like a troll. Thank you for creating this video.
I enjoyed this almost-a-collab. I found Stephanie’s videos back in the day when she was a makeup artist. Her evolution into this more observational video was interesting to watch. She does a real service to young women who spend a lot of time on social media. Her message is that “you don’t look like that influencer because *no one does,* not even that influencer!” Her reminders that beauty doesn’t look just one way are much needed.
Here you can see she says "I think it's just because she got older" A lot of people think like that which personally bothers me because people teally believe that it's natural. I'm glad Dr. Gary said he thinks that she got either eyelid surgery or brow lift or even both.
I also feel like I've had the ah ha moment watching this as Miley does look different to me. Although I'm left with this feeling of sadness to the young girl going through all these procedures, not only because she felt she needed them but also they seem painful!
@@drgarylinkov Dr. Linkov - I scrolled down to comment on 14 is young for a nose job." Yes/no -- a lot of Jewish girls with a prominent nose get rhinoplasty as their bat mitzvah present (13 yr old). Just wanted to point out one semi-reasonable exception.
it would be nice if you did a video of someone not doing plastic surgery but ageing well without having to use any forms plastic surgery including botox. keep up the great work never knew this many stars have been using plastic surgery
I would also love to see a video on Brad Pitt! I don’t know if he’s made some deal with the devil but it is very unusual for someone who is 59 to look that amazing. I am equally curious to know about any potential facial plastic surgery as well as any potential hair transplant.
When I needed to have a sinus surgery (FESS), septoplasty, and turbinoplasty, the physician explaining the procedures, (before I scheduled with a different doctor) kept mentioning how they could tweek my nose. I told him I didn't want my nose changed appearance-wise and he said sure but we can easily tweek your nose and proceeded to talk about the ways they could change my nose. I wonder how many of those surgeries end up with a big change to the patient's nose based on doctors convincing them?
Wrong. Look at her young pictures compared to now. She's definitely had an upper blethroplasty. I don't think it's a big deal. She still looks good. I just miss her hooded eyes
I similarly prefer the original format of videos versus reaction videos, though I will say one thing I appreciate about these is how they emphasize Dr. Gary's deadpan. I think I'm really watching for the Dr. Gary deadpan.
I had a one sided glided brow lift last fall, it helped my uneven brows. And then early this month i had upper bleph. Awake, and it was not painful at all, except the freezing. I have hooded eyes too, and now they look so much better. I look more awake. I had a lip lift before too. My buccal fat will stay until it ages away. I would rather have chubby cheeks than hollow cheeks. Looks more youthful. Miley looked good before and after. I’m glad people are aware of surgery “glow ups” but it might also increase youth wanting surgery. Miley looks like she had a lip lift or maybe a botox lip flip, but she definitely had filler too.
Miley was so cute now she just looks like every other Hollywood wannabe. So sad, you gals forget some guys will adore you for the unique, imperfect but charming face you were born with.

I think it's great you react to other youtubers that seem to think they are more qualified to examine the work of another physician over an actual plastic surgeon 😂. It just blows me away. But honestly we didn't have professionals on UA-cam for a very long time. And it's amazing to finally hear from actual professionals 😊
But this young woman actually did have a lot of good knowledge. and I respect Dr. Gary for not treating her with disdain. Instead, he mainly agreed with her, but then clariifed or added more detail to the UA-camr's comments.
In my humble opinion there are youtubers such as Lorry Hill who are muuuuuuch better at their analyses than actual plastic surgeons. All it needs is an interest and an eye for detail and some personal experience with the procedures can help you catch them easily in others. Just like there are regular people knowing much more about health and nutrition compared to a doctor. We all have our gifts and subjects we are good at and know a lot about, not matter if we have a degree in that and/or if that´s our career or not.
@I love Camels doctors aren't required to learn health and nutrition. A non professional can give the drama without having to sound clinical. And in a lot of ways they can provide entertainment. But surgery isn't fun and games. There is definitely a purpose for a surgeon to speak over someone who isn't licensed and practicing. A specialist can show us the possibilities and update us on new approaches and practices. They can talk about contradictory types of surgeries out there. And actually tell you the risks.
When did Stephanie say she thinks she's more qualified than a plastic surgeon??? She's clearly more knowledgeable about plastic surgery than the average person. And she is just giving her opinions. Why does that bother you so much? He agreed with most of what she said so.....?
@Angel Like that's what she is doing. She is analyzing the work of an other surgeon. That's so cringe 😬. Bc a surgeon is who handles those procedures. I guess she does a decent job identifying some things. But it's weird and I wouldn't replace a specialist opinion with someone who doesn't have a degree in this stuff. But to be fair she's been on UA-cam a lot longer than any specialist. So many are very new to hearing a surgeons opinions.
Your videos are so informative and insightful. I really appreciate how you go over facts about different face traits, best individual features, changes as well as possible work these celebreties had done and non-surgical treatments. One celebrity I would really appreciate to see on here is Debbie Harry! And also Olivia Newton-John, Lana del Rey, Michelle Phieffer, Kate Beckinsale, Olivia Wilde, Lily Collins, Rachel McAdams, Demi Lovato, Hilary Duff, Sarah Hyland, Meghan Markle, Jameela Jamil Nina Dobrev, Jennifer Garner, Lucy Hale, Ian Somerhalder, Rob Lowe and Tommy Lee would be interesting to see your analysis of.

However, I think Stephanie's presentation might help reach the millions of young people, teenagers really, who are desperate to be aesthetically perfect. I really hope so. Personally, I enjoy Dr Linkovs' style, factual, calm and to the point. A good channel.
One thing that I will back up is that part about the difference in her eyes appearance and closer resemblance to her mum as shes gotten older - orbital fat loss seems to be hereditary in my family on my mums side and as my cousins and I get older, I've noticed it showing in most of us too which gives us a distinct resemblance. But on top of that I do agree she's had work done.
Wow. You've been through so much so young. I wish you and your lovely wife continued healing and happiness. You have a fantastic outlook and you're handsome with or without hair!
I think its crazy that people want eyelids that aren't hooded. When I was a kid I got bullied because of my gaunt sunk in huge eyeballs with a lot of eyelid visible. I always wanted hooded eyes to fit in with the other girls...
My nose has definitely changed, more cartilage in the tip over the years. I used to think I was adopted as I had a different nose now it looks like my dad’s lol. And women lose baby fat in the cheeks especially when they change their diet. But I do think she’s had some work done.
Totally unrelated and only from personal accounts, but my dad had a blepharoplasty on his hooded lids within the last 8 years I think (he was in his mid 50's), his hooded lids had gotten sunken to the point that it was affecting his visibility, so I always had this thought that this form of cosmetic surgery was for medical purposes.... I had this thought that I may need this surgery when I'm middle aged because we have the same eyelids... very interesting to see this surgery for just aesthetic purposes..
I would love to see you do a timeline commentary on British actress Kate Beckinsale. She was such a unique beauty when she did Much Ado About Nothing , and now in her 40s she looks like your average beauty influencer with Generic Influencer Face ™️
There's lots of celebreties that I noticed get rid of their hooded eyelids. Margot Robbie is another. The eyes always looked better before imo. Hooded eyelids are more youthful looking, I don't understand why celebrities get rid of them. I definitely think Miley had it done. Her dad still has hooded eyelids, so i dont think hers disappeared with age. Same with her cheeks. She is always beautiful but she made herself look older.
This wasn't expected to hear the two of you together...l love your opinion on all things plastic and Stephanie must be a client she's got that extra glow up to,...❤
Dr. Gary, thanks for sharing with me that the "side effect" of the eye-lashes extending serum!! In fact, I personally experienced after 2 months of using, my eyelids doubled and the shape of my eyes got hallowered naturally. Some friends thought that i went for plastic surgery 😅
Thanks for mentioning this about lash growth serums and orbital fat disappearing. This happened to me, before I found out of the risk. Luckily, since my eyes were hooded and I'm now aging (49), it's actually been pretty helpful in keeping a young appearance, but I still would've preferred to have the choice BEFORE starting to use the serum in question. Another thing I learned along the way, is that they stop working after a while, and you kinda have to cycle them for them to keep working. I do 2 mos on, 2 weeks off & repeat.
Did all the other commenters. All I want is you, just you, not some English Bird. We just want you, Dr. Gary. Sorry to be so harsh, but I watch this channel to watch you .

Cute about wondering who has you on speed dial, but having watched you over the years, I know WE'll never know because you're so respectful YOU'll never tell! I'm almost 70, told I look in my 50's (and compared to the women where I live in Ecuador, I believe it!) I owe my eurasian background, and excellent diet and skincare all my life. I really appreciate your vids Dr Gary! You are a great teacher and so respectful and honest about how you feel about plastic surgery done too young! Especially adolescent rhinoplasties! The only time I ever considered plastic surgery was when I was 13 and my nose had grown faster than my face, and all my jewish classmates were getting rhinoplasties for their bar and bat mitzvahs! My parents were adament about their NO! And I was glad. 6 or 8 years later, I ran into a junior high pal who'd had it done and her face had grown into the right size, sadly her nose looked somewhat silly. If she'd kept her natural nose, she would have been a stunning beauty!
I haven't done anything to my face, i'm in my 30's and I can't compare myself to when I was 13. I lost a lot of fat in my face naturally. If I were a celebrity I'm sure people would say I changed my face with the wrong procedures when I did nothing lol.
I wish I could get plastic surgery but it's not in the cards for me. Yet im addicted to watching these videos. It's interesting to see what people choose to change about themselves. As for Miley Cyrus, I actually prefer her face during her Hannah Montana stage or even her married face. One of the few celebrities that I actually think plastic surgery didn't do her any good. She now has an incredibly narrow facial feature face.
Love seeing you and Stephanie do these reactions. Also, I wonder if that lash serum that has the side effect of hollowing out eyes would help reduce eye bulge from thyroid eye disease?
Probably? Latisse, the prescription lash serum, was/is actually used for treating glaucoma. They discovered the patients who used it got long lashes and then started prescribing it for that purpose under different marketing.
I'm sure your patients have mentioned it. Not complaining. However, if my family doctor and my dentist talked like you, I would never miss an appointment. With that being said, both are great when I see them. Just your voice is so calming! Please teach me how to talk like you!

I have a picture of myself when I was 14 and I also had hooded eyes at that age. I think it could have just been a fat loss from the face as you age. I certainly never had plastic surgery!
Exactly, eyelids only deepen naturally. Blepharoplasty doesn’t do that, it only removes some of the excess skin. It bothers me so much that we have to assume every single change is due to plastic surgery.

They look like horse teeth
😂😂😂yes
I just can't handle she can never shut her lips she always looks like a blow-up doll
Dr. Gary, I loved your work! You’ve helped me understand so much about facial plastics, and it’s made me feel safer as a patient of rhinoplasty, dysport, and nasolabial filler. I appreciate you!
Any tips for nasolabial filler? I want to have it soon
True 🤷🏻♀️
Yeah man true
I saw a vedio in Which
A radio 📻 Jockey 🏇
Telling a 14 year old miley that
" That white bitch 😢who use to show her GUMS 🙄 all time"
When she sing it's so sad - i can see something weard on her face (can't move every parts of this as before😢)
I don't watch Stephanie, but enjoy these videos with you commenting and/or verifying her analysis.
Dr. Gary, we need you to drop your skincare routine. Your skin looks incredible
I love your reactions to her. It is like a collab without a collab 😅❤
I’ve had a gum lift TWICE as a teen due to a dentist recommendation, was more for health than looks but oh Lord was it awful, this crazy doctor even wanted me to do it a third time but the surgeon said no
The procedure itself is chill, the problem is one: the smell, it smells like burned human flesh
Two: the taste and the INSANE amount of blood during the first two days of recovery
Chill but at the same time awful experience
OOH 😲 So sorry, that must’ve been horrible and very painful! Sorry, you had to go through that and here people do it more for their looks and what people think of them, than an actual health concern! 🤔Thanks for sharing your story 🩵That’s very interesting, I’ve never would of thing there was a type of procedure for this. My niece has a gummy smile and I think she’s cute. I call her Gumby, I’m sure you have a beautiful smile too!😃God bless.😃💜💜
Maybe you had a lot of flash there thats why, i know a lot of people had done and it was a breese
Really? I want to do it for looks lol my gums show more on one side of my upper teeth. It makes me smile uneven and crooked so I don’t like it
omg the "smell of burned human flesh"....scary af. the smell i think most of us cant imagine
@@EduardoValentiyes, maybe that influenced! I’m glad it was better for them, the first time I did it was more than 10 years ago, surely medicine has evolved to make the procediment more comfortable and I was really young so that also might have influenced my view on the experience
2:07 Not only do I remember "Achy Breaky Heart," I knew the line dance from a videotape I checked out from the library, AND I saw him in concert at the height of his fame. He winked and waved at me and everything. I was only 8 years old, but I was the happiest person on the planet at that moment 😂
Mikey just looks exactly like her mother now. Exactly.
I think whatever has happened to Mileys face the last 12 months is an actual crime.
True!
I also feel like I've had the ah ha moment watching this as Miley does look different to me. Although I'm left with this feeling of sadness to the young girl going through all these procedures, not only because she felt she needed them but also they seem painful!
I just love two of my favourite channels coming together like this 😎
Yes, a Gary assessment of Miley would be a great video.
Love miley. Growing up in the public is sick.

Dr. Gary you have to do a proper colab with Stephanie, I would love to hear her ask you questions.
Lol maybe we’ll reach out
I would also love that! Please contact her? 🥰🥰
@@Discerning_Viewer I thought bat mitzvah was 12. It's the boys' bar mitzvah that is 13.

Skin always expands almost like the universe ✨
It is unreal what some of these celebrities put themselves through . I find it sad. It’s not worth it
it would be nice if you did a video of someone not doing plastic surgery but ageing well without having to use any forms plastic surgery including botox. keep up the great work never knew this many stars have been using plastic surgery
She had a lot of dentistry done which improved her looks
But , he's a plastic surgeon.
So many celebs looks worse after upper blethroplasty to me
She hasn’t had any blepharoplasty 🙄
Was sad when Jennifer Lawrence had hers. She lost her uniqueness
@@marietgagliardi Lawrance has definitely not had any, she looks exactly the same. S tupid obsession.
Wrong. Look at her young pictures compared to now. She's definitely had an upper blethroplasty. I don't think it's a big deal. She still looks good. I just miss her hooded eyes
@@marietgagliardi No, not definitely. People CAN actually change. Who thought that? 🙄
I cracked up when you made the universe expanding joke 😭😭😭 as usual, great video!
I similarly prefer the original format of videos versus reaction videos, though I will say one thing I appreciate about these is how they emphasize Dr. Gary's deadpan. I think I'm really watching for the Dr. Gary deadpan.
Buccal fat renoval instantly ages people by 10 years imo. That fat makes you look youthful!
I had no idea a gum lift was called a gum lift. I had it done when I was 15, and it hurt so bad.
After your gum lift, has it increased your chances of gum disease or gum recession?
@@rambocortez Oh, I can definitely see gum recession down the line if I don't keep up with my oral hygiene but no gum disease or recession yet. It was definitely worth it though.
I think miley looks old but not ugly
I would love for you to do a short video or short about risks/benefits, your personal perspective on prostaglandins for eyelash growth as well as other options...love your channel and your analysis and explanation of procedures..it's exceeding helpful...I am having a deep place lift, lip lift, lateral brow lift and fat transfer with an incredible surgeon in SLC...watching your videos has just really been so informative..learned so much and your presentation is chill and fun...thank you!
Don't do it! spend the money on having fun instead!
Dr Gary, I could listen to ur voice all day…. It’s so relaxing!
😂
youtuber- bright, confident, fast talking ..like a parrot on speed.
I don't think that orbital fat loss happens at 30, unless you have really bad genes.
@@dammar117 thank youuu
Her mother had the same surgery.
Wow. You've been through so much so young. I wish you and your lovely wife continued healing and happiness. You have a fantastic outlook and you're handsome with or without hair!
I enjoy Stephanie’s bubbly personality, and Doc’s reactions to some of her quirky remarks…these videos are informative AND fun!
I appreciate your timeline videos, and your reactions 👍🏻💙💚
LOVE your Stephanie reaction videos!
I think its crazy that people want eyelids that aren't hooded. When I was a kid I got bullied because of my gaunt sunk in huge eyeballs with a lot of eyelid visible. I always wanted hooded eyes to fit in with the other girls...
Same !
Mine are hooded and didn't really bother me until I started noticing my eyes look smaller now that I'm up in age.
I have hooded eyes, and to add interest, one is more hooded than the other 😬. I actually like the hooded effect. Would never do anything to remove it.
Same I also always have a lot of visible eyelid and cant quite understand why people are purposefully getting this look
Well people will bully you for anything
Yes, my friends mum had this procedure too and it was being paid by national health care.
I love the Stephanie reactions!! You already know you’re not going to please ‘em all… might as well do what you enjoy 🤷♀️
I would love to see you do a timeline commentary on British actress Kate Beckinsale. She was such a unique beauty when she did Much Ado About Nothing , and now in her 40s she looks like your average beauty influencer with Generic Influencer Face ™️
This I crazy , I was watching her vogue in looks today and was thinking of you reacting to her change and boom here it is 🥳many thanks
I dont understand why you react to her videos, she doesnt seem like she knows a lot about plastic surgery
I've never heard of a gum lift! Fascinating to watch as always.
This wasn't expected to hear the two of you together...l love your opinion on all things plastic and Stephanie must be a client she's got that extra glow up to,...❤
Miley's gone from 25 to 45 overnight
Dr. Gary, you were destined to be a UA-cam STAR….not sure what it is, but I really enjoy watching you.
Dr. Gary, thanks for sharing with me that the "side effect" of the eye-lashes extending serum!!
In fact, I personally experienced after 2 months of using, my eyelids doubled and the shape of my eyes got hallowered naturally. Some friends thought that i went for plastic surgery 😅
So would it help someone with hooded eyes or make them worse?
Thanks for mentioning this about lash growth serums and orbital fat disappearing. This happened to me, before I found out of the risk. Luckily, since my eyes were hooded and I'm now aging (49), it's actually been pretty helpful in keeping a young appearance, but I still would've preferred to have the choice BEFORE starting to use the serum in question. Another thing I learned along the way, is that they stop working after a while, and you kinda have to cycle them for them to keep working. I do 2 mos on, 2 weeks off & repeat.
I really enjoy your reviews of Stephanie’s videos (I sub to her too), thank you so much 🙏💜
I love his comments and I liked this style of reaction to someone else's thoughts because it gives him other ideas of what to notice.
I'm aware that Miley is human just like any of us, but it makes me kinda sad to think she has changed the original shape of her face
She hasn’t changed the shape of her face 😂😂😂😂
This video made me realize how Stephanie has a deep knowledge about faces and plastic surgery. Btw, love your videos, Dr Gary :*
Did all the other commenters. All I want is you, just you, not some English Bird. We just want you, Dr. Gary.
Sorry to be so harsh, but I watch this channel to watch you .
Thanks Shari!
That is definitely not migrated filler, it's the way they do make up on lips to appear bigger, they overdraw the line with a light nude color pencil
She went from looking like her dad to looking more like her mom.
Exactly. She was much prettier looking like her dad. Mom has beautiful eyes tho. How can this guy not know “Achy Breaky Heart”?
People change. That’s what maturing is.
Would love to see you look at Kylie Minogue over the years from when she forst appeared in the 80s to now. She looks so young for someone in her 50s.
I love how not just her voice but also her face looks 44. Very mature.
Our current idea of 44, which is with procedures done. Not a natural 44.
Perhaps she's smoking also.
@@dorayantz3649 Smoking shows its effects a lot later. Not at 30. My daughter and her friend are smokers, and they still gets carded when buying cigarettes (the legal age here is 19). They are just under and over 40.

Dont have Dr Gary on my radar as plastic surgeon, because I don't plan to change anything, but do definitely have him as my doctor crush 😉😍 thanks for the wonderful content and professional wisdom!
She looks like Cher now
Cute about wondering who has you on speed dial, but having watched you over the years, I know WE'll never know because you're so respectful YOU'll never tell!
8:56 our skin is expanding like the universe haha living for that
I love watching the Stephanie/Gary vids. So good !!
I don’t understand why these people keep insisting on uglyfying themselves. She was already naturally a very beautiful girl. Just sad
I was distracted by Dr Gary’s eyebrows and stubble for a bit. I thought my brain was messing with me! Now I need to go back and watch the video!
I haven't done anything to my face, i'm in my 30's and I can't compare myself to when I was 13. I lost a lot of fat in my face naturally. If I were a celebrity I'm sure people would say I changed my face with the wrong procedures when I did nothing lol.
I’m also 30 and my eyes have sunken in lol I lost so much baby fat my face shape changed
I like it when Dr Gary makes comments instead of commenting on this annoying influencer videos.
I'm gonna go against the wind but I really like this format !
Love seeing you and Stephanie do these reactions. Also, I wonder if that lash serum that has the side effect of hollowing out eyes would help reduce eye bulge from thyroid eye disease?
Which serum/ ingredient???🤔
Pretty disappointed by the new video format. I’ve been subscribed for a long time. If I wanted to watch Stephanie, I would go to her channel. I don’t say this to be rude - just think it’s important that you receive feedback from subscribers. I really hope you go back to your old format.
He’s a super busy . In high demand plastic surgeon. He probably doesn’t have the time to put all the pictures together. So it’s easier to just comment on a critique of someone .
I like Stephanie’s videos! She’s got great insight.
I do not think that hooded eye can just disappear with age. I have one and it did not go anywhere when I grew up 😄it even got worse, so don't know...
I like your original style and very much appreciated this as well. Thank you
I like Stephanie ! She seems spot on usually about the surgeries. Miley looks a lot different. I remember when I had not seen her in a long time and a recent pic popped up I thought 😳. How did she change soooooooo much. It looks like she had a ton of work done after her divorce
Please make a video about Cilian Murphy! Love your videos and English pronunciation 😅❤
Haha doctor I love u man, I m a man never thought of plastic surgeries or whatsoever, one day ur video popped up randomly. I have been watching all of ur content since. this is super entertaining. I have ur videos on speed dial I can tell you this
I enjoy the crossover, with Stephanie. I was subscribed to her, as well as you, prior - so, I found this crossover neat.
And I think it’s a smart way to do a reaction video, on your end, regarding work-load. Though, also, I like the more “civilian” approach Stephanie brings to the conversation; where you’re able to bounce off of, with your trained knowledge and perspective.
Also..
Bring your wife back, please.
