Even back when you work at somebody else's shop before you had your own. I've been watching since then. I just wanted to thank you for the informative videos. Hey Ray, it amazes me, as an autosparkie, that a lot of electrical stuff in the states are performed by mechanics. Over here in Oz, this work would have been done by a specialist performance shop, or an autoelectrician. Strange breakdown of trades over there.
As to your work skills, there are few things that you do that someone trained as a tech over here wouldn't. Like, when you tape up loom tube you should start on the wire and bring the tape out thru the slit in the tube then continue to tape up the loom. Also, instead of looming up the entire length of that white wire, you maybe should have cut the loom tube to the correct length and folded the wire back into the tube till the right length is left sticking out. Makes for a much tidier and professional job. I do enjoy the fact that you'll have a go at just about everything, and that, as far as US built vehicles are concerned, you have a depth and breadth of knowledge that is enviable. Keep this channel going mate, it's fun to watch. Cheers.

when i was working in a uk shop the secretary use to come out and help out sometimes when she was bored , she wore slippers , commonsense enough to know what she was doing .
When you get first timers you do not let them in the shop as sometimes they are either clueless , or not use to the shop.
nothing wrong getting offended , the world does not stop and you move on , I learnt it at a young age , you grow a thick skin as we call it here in peaky blinder city.

That is a very full engine compartment. The area where that sensor went was so tight, I'm guessing it's been done by a quality company to get it to fit. If there is a followup video on the programming of the ECM for it I'd like to see it. Love the sound of that Cadillac V-6 twin turbo. I bet it is a fun ride. The E85 may give it even more power...like it needs it.
Thanks for the Lauren/WifeUnit cameo. Don't listen to the trolls about her footwear. She's just fine, as are your kids. I'm sure you all are very careful and cognizant of the environment you're in and use the best judgement.😊

Hey Ray! Thanks to your videos I had a pretty good idea why the airbag light in my 2015 Kia Sorento was on all the time and figured it was likely the clock spring. Took it to the dealer and sure enough that was the problem! My warranty expired 4 years ago but much to my surprise they told me Kia warranties the clock spring for 15 years! So free diagnosis, free part and free labour. That made my day. Thought I’d share because it seems to be a common failure for Kia and Hyundai.

MC cable anit-short bushings work real well for plugging the ends of that wire loom as opposed to just electrical tape. You just need the respective inner diameter size. Local hardware stores usually carry a couple different sizes, or a local electric supply house carry a bunch of different ones. A bag of 20 are around $3.

Ray, where I come from, we have a saying, "stick your nose where it don't belong, your nose will get broken". You and the wife unit run your shop your way. It's obvious some people have nothing better to do than to stick their nose where it don't belong. Personally, I say thank you to both of you for sharing these wonderful videos, some are refreshers some are learning experiences. As usual, great video, cheers :)

They did not make many older ATS V-Sports with the twin turbo 3.6, but they were incredible sleepers...and ridiculously easy to make goofy power numbers. Of course the new CT4 Blackwing uses a similar engine.

I had occasional acceleration “dips” in a turbo motor, no codes which I subsequently found was the turbo bearings “catching “ - unfortunately when the engine ate the turbo🤢
