  • These Aux switches are so nice! What used to be a fairly lengthy process is now quick and simple!

    Wow! So well done. I’m pitiful when it comes to wiring stuff but you did such a great job of explaining that I think even I can do the install without screwing it up. Thanks for the clear explanation.

    You don't have to fish the wires by the wiper motor, just use the factory notch in the hood gasket into the engine compartment. That's how I ran my KC Hilites and it keeps the wires out of the weather.

  • @scottthompson6952

    You didn’t have to hook anything to positive side of battery?- I have ‘21 Wrangler- trying to install KC Hilights- harness is designed for switch as well with relay and there isn’t a red wire - I got yellow/black/green/white - stumped on which to hook up

  • @AlanTrades

    Any idea what the quick connect is on the driver's side cowl? It appears to be on the wiper motor harness. My Gladiator has this as well.

  • @andresjimenez900

    How did you connect the wires? Did you simply twist them together then wrapped it in electrical tape?

    I have a jeep gladiator too but under the cowl cover do you know what the wiring harness is called because those got cut on mine and now it says check shifter and can’t put in gear

    Great video. To remove the complete cowl, are the windshield wipers the only thing left to remove to do that?

    When you turn on your radio do you get any interference noise when the lights are turned on? I did the same, but on a certain radio channel I get incredible noise interference.

    What kind of accessories would use the 40 amp and what kind would use the 10 amp? How do you know which amp cord to use for a given accessory?

    • @4-LOW
      @4-LOW  4 роки тому

      The color codes are all in the owners manual. The lower amp wires are great for LED lights, but if you have halogens you may need more amps. Or if you're going to run fans or other accessories the 40 amp wires are used.

  • @LeoOrtega144

    Where did you pull the wire up through the hood to your lights? I see some room at the hinge of the hood, but just wondering what access spot everyone is using.

    Is there an easy way to identify the wire group under the hood? Looking at mine can find one that just ends? And I do have the aux switch option.

    • @4-LOW
      @4-LOW  5 років тому

      Should be taped up and stowed inside the fender near the battery. It's typically easy to find. Maybe yours was skipped by mistake at the factory? Check with your dealership.

    are you using aux 3 for both lights and use the same ground? or do i have to use aux 3 and 4?

    • @buckan8r999
      @buckan8r999 4 роки тому

      it should be just Aux 3 since together the lights drew 4.25 amps and Aux 3 accommodates 15 amp
