I always told my kids that if they didn't behave in a store, we would leave and i did just that more than once. Same goes for my dogs. Behave or go home

I’m hard on myself too. I think that discipline characteristic and perfectionist ego often make it hard for us to relax and apply grace. Just know from a viewers perspective, you’re an inspiration and appreciated! My 6 month old came corso, Nova, and I sure enjoy these videos! Side note, my mama opened and managed kaybee toys for about 6 years over in NorCal
In the late 80’s, early 90’s!

It is how to Bn build a relationship with your dog. The relationship goes a long way. That is the way I worked with my dogs. I also did obedience training. Working and putting the theories together. Jason, you have taught me a lot. Love your channel. ❤

She eats a ton as well. Funny story ...had to do lab work last week. Nurse all the sudden said....I feel like I'm having a allergic reaction, but it's only garlic I react to. 😂

Be extremely careful with spinach since you and Bruce had kidney stones. It's the worst thing you can consume because the oxalate content is extremely high, which can cause kidney stones. Kale is much better; not taste wise, but it has low oxalate. Beets, almonds, and dark chocolate also have high oxalate content. I learned a lot when I had kidney stones (never want to go through that again!). I replaced spinach with kale.

This is a holistic vet recommendation....please don't worry...plus he does not have oxolate stones.

How do you cope with loosing one of them? My Corso was 4 years 10 months and died from sudden cardiac arrest while playing in the back yard. It has been 8 days and I am so lost without him.

It went to spam....most likely due to the length of the comment so UA-cam thought it was a spammer.....when that happens don't get upset at the creator....this is out of our hands. I went into spam and found it and made it not spam.

Ok, I can't stand positive only training personally, I think it's weird and unnatural. Dogs don't use positive only on one another. Wild animals don't use positive only on one another. There needs to be consequence to unwanted behaviors. Dogs love to make their family happy and having their family or pack leader upset/ignoring them is a powerful motivator to NOT repeat the bad/unwanted behaviors in the future. When training any of my dogs (and I've had a lot of them over the years, lol) if I let them know that they were doing something I didn't like they would pout for a brief period but they typically wouldn't repeat the behavior. If you ever get to see a mother dog with her puppies and those puppies are overstepping, mom checks them (usually with a growl or a nip depending on the severity of the behavior) and things go back to normal afterword. Having negative (consequences) doesn't mean you go and hit the dog or do something stupid like that. It means you're teaching your dog what is and what is not ok. I've been using similar training methods to what Jason uses for the boys for years. Works pretty good but every dog is different. Every household is different. Every situation is different. Every dog learns a little differently as they are unique and have their own quirky personalities.
I Personally enjoyed this vid @jasoncorey very relatable and chill and it's insightful. Especially the bit about kids and positive only being weird. You've got so much great info and tips for those interested in this breed or any dog really and share some great resources with your community. I've been eyeballin one of them big barker beds you were talking about because pet stores carry a lot of garbage products or no products for large/giant breed dogs like the boys. I've loved CCs for years but not until this year had I seriously considered getting one of my own and your channel has been a great help in terms of insight into the daily life with the breed. I like being able to put one of your posts up to listen to while I'm driving or working around the house. I'm getting a lil CC boy next month and I'll be showing him when he gets old enough and honestly your videos of their socialization outings has been amazing for opening me up to the idea of trying to find as many places as possible to take him to for social training. Keep it up!
