Dude, congrats. So pumped for you. I was out there too running my 3rd marathon to the tune of 3:07:50. Your amazing pre-race video and your subsequent performance on Sunday has motivated me and inspired me to get to A corral! Time to stack! LETS GOOOOO!!!!!
The videography is INSANE. Impossible not to get emotional and hyped up at the same time watching this. This is exactly the reminder I needed to have fun and embrace the moment even in the pain cave. HUGE CONGRATS you are so inspiring
Terrific work Eric! So happy to finish (2:38:54) alongside you after getting familiar with the course through your vlogs, knowing we had the same target.
The @BenParkes x Floberg Runs crossover we've been waiting for! Huge congrats and so well deserved! I was checking the tracker the whole time, way to go! Inspired me to go all out this weekend at Amsterdam Marathon.
You are EPIC!! Amazing journey man. Inspired me this weekend. I broke sub 3 finally 2:53:26 in Chester (UK) and used your training/journey as motivation the whole way. Keep crushing it !!
I just cried through the whole thing. So beautifully done, and I’m so very happy for you. The soundtrack drop out at 17-18 really conveys the onset of the hard part of a marathon. And I just love how many people were cheering for you, and how many viewers’ videos you got in here. Congratulations.
Talent recognizes talent. I'm sure Ben Parkes will love this channel! Congrats on the race and on that sub2:40! This video was epic, specially the intro😍 looking forward to the full race recap!
Nothing but respect for anyone who is brave enough to call his shot publicly and tackle BIG goals head on! You’re silencing the voices of doubt for many of us! Thank you!
What an incredible and inspiring journey. Watching your videos and learning from you has made me a much better runner. Congrats on an incredible run! I’m so pumped for you!
Your monologue about pain is inspiring and so powerful! I have a heart transplant and as a kid I was never able to run any distance. I spent months in the hospital waiting for a heart and one thing that kept me going during that difficult time was the hope that one day I could run a marathon with a strong heart. I finally received a heart in 2010 at the age of 25. Last weekend was my 5th Chicago Marathon and I set a PB by 4 mins with a finish of 4:29. I always have trouble with miles 21-24, the pain gets to me and I let my mind break my will power. Embrace the pain, I’ll use that in my next race! Thanks 🍻
I love your comments about it being a privilege to exist within the pain cave! I'm down to my last 4 weeks of marathon training, so this was the motivation I needed to see this training thru to the end. Thank you for your inspiring content! And CONGRATULATIONS!!
MY DUDE! WOW. Absolute beast mode out there. Crying tears of joy for you. Know that you’re passing on that inspiration to thousands of us here. CONGRATS and thank you for sharing your journey 🎉🎉🎉
Way to go! You killed it and def an inspiration to go keep pushin. I was on track to hit a bq (3:05) and started to vomit at mile 25. Unfortunately missed my goal and finished at 3:06. But looking forward to running the Spring BQ.2 marathon in April and more importantly break the 3hour mark. For any volunteers who see this comment y’all are awesome. As I was puking my brains out one was right there rubbing my back saying you got this and not to give up with just a mile to go. Def pushed me thru
This made me feel things that I didn't know I needed to feel. My first ever half-marathon coming up this weekend and this brough a tear to my eye. Your passion and enthusiasm for the sport is contagious, your commitment sure to lead to greatness.
Amazing!! I ran my first marathon on Saturday and your channel was one my sources of inspirations through the entire preparation. This stranger from the internet sincerely thanks you for putting out content like this. Congratulations on the amazing PR! Can't wait to see what's next..
I'm in the heavy weeks for Philly Marathon. Seeing the smiles and good vibes at the end of the road are a great reminder of why we set these crazy goals and hammer at them for months. Congrats brother.
Not sure why I am smiling through this video. Maybe because I got to see you or I ran the race myself and the nostalgia of it, or I just love seeing putting the work in and thriving. Regardless of what it is I am here for it all.
😭 I’m crying of happiness for you! I also ran the marathon thru the pain cave it was so hard but we did it ! Sharing your video with my followers cause your channel should have millions of followers it’s so well done. The editing, the tips and your humble personality. Keep going Erick 🎉
This encapsulates the emotions of running a race so beautifully. I definitely teared up at the end. It really reflects what a journey running is and now I am feeling pumped to train for my next race! Congrats on the sub 2:40!!!
A-EFFING-MAZING!!! Ran Chicago too. That course is damn electric and watching you in that pain cave and dig deep just brought me back to mile 23-26. Congrats on such a great PR!! 🎉
Have loved following the journey brother! From someone who is at a similar level, it's great to take some learnings from your ups and downs. Thanks for opening yourself up for us all to see how incredible this sport can be. Enjoy the celebrations, very much deserved!
I like the crowd sourced video montage. It's a neat way to showcase almost all of the course. I love this course and I run Chicago every year and I always feel like it's such an underrated marathon and city. The course is amazing. Congrats on the PR!

Massive congrats Eric, your videos are so well put together and inspiring. This perfectly captured the feelings for myself and I'm sure many others who ran Chicago - the initial excitement and energy, the crowd support along the course, the moment you realise it's getting tough and the pain of the final 3 miles. So happy for you to hit your goal and out of all the youtubers you come across as the most genuine and likeable, well done!
