@ColeTheCornstar I live in NC and was telling people about your channel and how much respect I have for our farmers. You have explained so much about the farming equipment & uses. I always seen it in the fields, on the backroads but NEVER knew what it took to work a large acreage of property. I want to ride in a combine!😂 We farmed with an International 1-40. Yea, a dinosaur but like your family, Dad took pride in that tractor! I am do very proud of your entire family. Thank You!❤
Liking the arial descriptions of the fields. We’ve seen them all planted and worked before, but to see them from above, gives it a different perspective.❤
they match the plot diagrams we see in the cabin when planting/combining. It's nice to see the actual farm to go with the plots with the same perspective
Cole is a clever man and his family has wisely invested in his agricultural education. He is the business manager of the farm, and is generating extra income by inviting viewers on UA-cam to watch them work. He has wisely made the home build central to his UA-cam page. He was lucky coming across Roman and making him a main part of these videos. Kudos to this family!
Roman, please know you are part of this channel. I tune in to see Cole, Roman, and Juston. I understand Juston isn’t helping at this moment but I started watching the channel for the interaction between you three and the fun it seemed you all were having while working. Since the farming series started, I have enjoyed seeing all of Cornstar Farm employees. I like all of it. But Roman, that definitely includes you and ALL your hard work. ❤
I am fairly confident at the rate this project is going, the first movie that they will be showing at the Roman Coliseum will be at Edward's high school graduation party!
Cole I have been watching you since living in Cedar Falls and you were in college. Anyway I love the content of your posts and all of your associated characters (family and friends)! This is easy for me to say however you should have an introduction cartoonish opening for the show (posts), as well as a cartoonish Cornstar farms and your kids would love it too.
Liking the arial descriptions of the fields. We’ve seen them all planted and worked before, but to see them from above, gives it a different perspective.
Roman, maybe the next time you go to Menards you could pick up a couple of day laborers on the days that Cole is busy with harvesting. Just do it and then if he asks, tell him I said it was okay. 😉
I have seen builders use a Lazer and rebar stakes to set the elevation of the concrete elevation in the trenches. You just pour the concrete to the top of the stake.
Cole, Take pieces of rebar and pound them in the middle of the trench. Mark on them the level in inches you want the concrete to be; the concrete will settle itself level as long as the sides don't move. Just a thought, you guys work so hard.
I could be completely wrong (it's happened before lolol), but it seems to me that maybe Roman needs a couple of days break. You can't work non-stop all the time without having a break at times.
If he was half as smart as he thinks he is he'd be gone by now. Supposedly has a civil engineering degree and is playing construction laborer for Cole, straight hourly and no benefits. The fact that Cole always finds computer work, meetings, taking grandma to the bank and just using farm excuses to not work in this hole would cause anyone to leave. But that's how Cole treats people.
Cole! you like to joke around, you want to smile? remember a long time ago when you your dad and Nave went to a farm supply store and sent her in before you and told to her say we needed a rubber, the worker said, you do! she said Yup! lol. Remember, I do.
Taking the time to ensure a perfect foundation to build upon will not only be an easier build by not having to compensate for any errors as you build, You are also ensuring that the addition will last well beyond Corn Star's grandkids kids begin planning their update/renovations for their own family. Slow & Steady Wins the Race, but DON'T let perfection be the roadblock to completion of the project
I realized from this video that I like the farming videos better! But I’m a faithful fan and will continue with both. Great job guys! So happy the weather is cooperating for you! God bless you and your family and your country.
Love that the construction is slowly progressing - maybe Zack and the rest of the fam should be recruited to help with the construction once harvest is over!
I’m sure Roman is getting paid for what he is doing. Love watching Roman he has such a dry sense of humor. I’m a female and I love watching the farm stuff and remodeling. Cole has the mind set of my husband “if your going to do it do it right! Nothing wrong with over kill. Loved the shot of the northern lights. I missed seeing them. Hope you called Nava to have her look outside!
Poor Roman, All by yourself! Doing a great job ! Harvest should be over in no time ! Cole will be back in no time! And all will be well with the world!❤
I think....can "our" farm break a record would be more appropriate. I don't think it is all your farm....but maybe I'm wrong. Love your videos, it's obvious you work hard on both your videos and the farm. Great job!
Imagine how many weeks you could have saved, if you had just decided to watch movies in the attic! While you keep saying WE will..... in reality it is only Roman.
When I was a kid , my aunt Joann lived in Alaska and she would send my family pictures of the northern lights and they were awesome pictures. I can hardly believe those northern lights are here now.
So you guys store the grain in your silos until the price is right then you take it to market? Do you always have your tandems pulled far back as possible on the trailers ?🇺🇸
Use a laser level to set the height of a series wooden pegs (2” x 1” section is fine) set at about six foot intervals in the middle of the trench, roughly in line where you are going to have your walls. Pour the concrete to the top of the pegs and use a straight edged piece of timber about seven feet long to tamp the concrete level between the tops of the wooden pegs. Do this from peg to peg down the trenches as you lay the concrete and you end up with a concrete footing that is level along its entire length. Just leave the pegs in place as the tops will now be flush with the concrete and will not interfere with anything when you start to build your wall. Many years ago I helped a friend set the footing for his house using the above technique and his house is still as solid as the day it was built. The secret with concrete is not to let it set too quickly, the longer it stays damp the stronger it will be. If the dirt sides look too dry just hose water over the concrete and put a sheet of polythene over it for 24 hours to keep it from drying out.
Those northern lights are supposed to increase as the solar maximus peaks sometime mid 2025 And when it does peak, it’s supposed to cause a lot of issues for electronic devices, like most of your harvesting equipment and navigation Solar flare ups on the sun And Roman can set a string line up and just match the boards up to it Those are some really massive footings Do you plan to use ICF foam blocks for your walls It might save you a few bucks and they go up really fast
Roman might need to do concrete in square section slabs. Need to see if you can see the atlas comet. 80k till next visit. Also seems you need to have lights shining on the dump pit. And Red and Greens chile northern lights, we call it Christmas in New Mexico.
My son told me that if you look at the Northern Lights through your cell phone camera the colors are more vivid. I am just going by what he told me, since I live in Fl. and have never seen them.

As I’m not too familiar with farms or farming those drone overviews have been amazing and quite interesting

Roman always said he gets paid by the hour.
Chill y’all. Once the corn is out of the field the house will get full attention.
Liking the arial descriptions of the fields. We’ve seen them all planted and worked before, but to see them from above, gives it a different perspective.
So much going on at Cornstar Farm. Roman is a gem. Everyone is doing their part. Cooper is a mighty man on the combind machine. 💪
Roman, maybe the next time you go to Menards you could pick up a couple of day laborers on the days that Cole is busy with harvesting.
Just do it and then if he asks, tell him I said it was okay. 😉
When Cole started explaining how they were going to form the footings, did anyone else say"OMG" ?? Poor Roman, this is way overkill!!
He is still calling the "Underground Movie Theatre" when it is really the "Roman Coliseum". He'll catch on soon ...
"We" means Roman. Give that man a raise!
Kinda like let's help Roman, and takes off to go Snow Boarding or Surfing per say.😅
Poor Roman!!!! Hes doing a job of 10 guys!!
If that were the case, they would be done by now. They need ten guys to finally finish this mess.
@@greghamann2099 Cole is too stingy to hire more people for this job xD
Roaman is a machine! He is a very hard worker and he’s BRIGHT too!
@@Mania26so accurate 🫠
You really need to get those footers poured before the rain cancels all the work.
Bless you, Roman! Double Blessings!
I get a laugh out of the semi barreling down your country roads. It doesn't get old. Kudos to the editor.
I am wondering how productive the French drain system is at this point in the dry spell. Can we get a peak at the end of the pipe?
Wow! Northern lights, what a treat!
Cornstar inc. Employee of the month mr Roman glad to see you succeed

Yes, call the theater. The Roman Coleseum Cinema 😅
You already have the columns 😂
Roman has definitely inspired me that one person can make a difference. His sacrifice should never be forgotten. 😊
Cole I am addicted on Corn-stars videos farming and building
I could be completely wrong (it's happened before lolol), but it seems to me that maybe Roman needs a couple of days break. You can't work non-stop all the time without having a break at times.
When Edward turns 16 he'll be helping Roman finish the basement! *Im not saying Romans slow, cause hes not!
Roman seems like he feels left out and discouraged.
Keep up your chin Roman. The fields will be empty soon!
Make sure making Roman working alone does not lead to resentment due to worker stress and burnout.
If he was half as smart as he thinks he is he'd be gone by now. Supposedly has a civil engineering degree and is playing construction laborer for Cole, straight hourly and no benefits. Good night Cole the cornstar!
This has been one of my favorite channels for years. Keep it up!
I absolutely love when you do your opening!!! Yes!
🙋♀️Great job Roman👨
I think....can "our" farm break a record would be more appropriate. I don't think it is all your farm....but maybe I'm wrong. Love your videos, it's obvious you work hard on both your videos and the farm. Great job!
Especially when Cole does about 5% of the actual farm work.
I'm surprised how much corn is still not harvested in North East Iowa, where I live.
It's so nice to see how well your fields are yeilding!!
Hard work pays off!
P.S.
I love the high speed footage of you driving the semi..... it makes me chuckle.
Sincerely
A life long trucker.... lol
I noticed they had their tandems on the one trailer all the way back. Not sure the reason for moving and forward or backwards. Could you explain?
Exciting to see how well harvest is going.
Thank you so much! Love watching your channel! ! God bless your family!
The man the myth the legend.. Cole!!!
Loving all the work that Roman is doing, I need him next…….. absolutely loving the drone footage of the property, beautiful ❤

Thank you for the update señor!😊
Another footer video! Another 2 months we might see concrete getting poured. Lol
Cornstars are killing it! Now we need the corn and bean prices to do their part!
Concrete must be really cheap in your area of Iowa.
They are going to mix it by hand!!!!
It's now called Cornstar Construction, I guess Cole is a contractor now? 😛
Loving the time-lapes, very interesting perspective...
I feel I am speaking for everyone when I say that we always want you to do the introduction :)
I was in se KS three weeks ago and their corn was done. Then I’m SE MN and parts were still green. I’d say you’re right in the middle and on time.
The frist movie is gonna be the big frozen ground of Iowa❤😊

Great aerial sjots of the fields. Poor Roman! Lonesome Roman! nothing to do but pound rock.
i have poured hundreds of feet of footers just drive grade stakes with stakes at the level the top of footer needed and finish needed!
