Carell is so serious...it’s such a curveball given the characters he’s known for.
@Roughman Really? Did you watch the previous segment? These two have been friends since they worked together at Second City, they worked on the Dana Carvey Show together, they worked on the Daily Show together. Steve and Stephen are close friends even though they took different paths with Steve going into series TV and movies and Stephen stayed at the Daily Show, went on to the Colbert Report and now The Late Show. They can still finish each other's sentences, plus they are both improv comedians who worked together for so long that they vibe off of each other.
Wanna gritch about Colbert? Pick a segment that doesn't have him interviewing on of his best friends. Stay away from any segment where Jake Tapper is a guest, he's another close friend of Colbert.

BTW, when I first saw Shawshank, it was on HBO back when HBO first ran it.
But it wasn't until I actually bought the dvd, and later the blue ray, that I actually saw the opening. I've seen the movie dozens of times, clips, everything, but I've probably seen the opening and the scenes before the courthouse maybe... twice in 30 years. Hell, I've not seen the courthouse scene all the way through either.

Dan In Real Life is one of my favorite movies ever. Very rewatchable and Steve is SO good in it. Great comedy, romance, family dynamics, drama, music, etc. I can’t enough about how much I love it.
