I think Steve Carrell is one of the great comedic performers of our generation. Every role he's in, he just throws himself into it, but Michael Scott especially is just one of the absolute best sitcom characters of all time.
I knew Steve was going to have a great career when I watched him on The Daily Show. If you google “slimming down with Steve daily show” on google, it’s absolute genius.

Aaron Pedersen what about Jim? I mean everyone loves Jim and honestly the reason it only went 9 seasons is probably because Steve left. After he left the show really lacked a star. You could tell because they change managers like 10 times desperately trying to find someone to fill the void. No one was the same. So I disagree I think Michael is #1 and Jim is #2
if the finale wasn't so perfect or maybe before season 8 if they made a Dwight show I would want it but the last season 3 seasons finished dwights character perfectly...fall return rise....same for jim...theres no more story to tell
The Schrute funeral episode was actually a Dwight show test, meant as kind of a pilot. While it was a funny episode, it didn't screen well for the spinoff...but it was written for that specific reason
Paul does not like attention. His foot was so jittery when he was on the spot. In fact any opportunity he got to write the script, he would make sure Toby had no lines.

@Kwum aix ahh here we go... if you’re going to have a go at the show for being politically incorrect or discriminatory, you may as well point out all the sexist stuff as well, but you’ll find that’s the humour of the show. People like you shouldn’t watch the office
Kwum aix what about when Michael burnt his foot and acted disabled and made a complete ass of himself in front of the building owner who’s in a wheel chair. What about when Stanley and Dwight pranked Jim into making meet balls? What about when they had a safety meeting in the warehouse and Derrell started Roasting Michael about not ever using the equipment? What about misleading Michael with the type of “slang” he should us? What about all the screen time that he got showing his willingness and desire to do right by his daughter? Hating his ex. Being in a band. Trying to win Val. Going to Philly to bigger and better things, the list goes on. You want to sit and nitpick with your sorry victim mentality and hate on the show. Well guess what, don’t fucking watch it then. Derrell wasn’t even supposed to be that big of a role yet the fans and writers saw something in him so they began to write for him to develop his character better. Went from some warehouse worker who was the head of the warehouse downstairs to having his own office upstairs interacting with the main “OFFICE”. So don’t bring up this bullshit again because you’re really reaching to find something to complain about.
@Kwum aix It's a comedy, it made fun of EVERYTHING. It made fun of gays, it made fun of Muslims (the first IT guy wore a turban and Michael thought he was a terrorist), it made fun of women, it made fun of fat people, it made fun of every ethical group because it is a COMEDY. I'm black and I have no problem with it because the show pokes fun at everything equally and its just light-hearted humor. The worst jokes on this show were not even aimed at the black characters. In fact, the black characters were all competent workers like Stanley (one of their best salesmen), Daryl (warehouse manager who got promoted), and Kelly (head of customer care). And you are crazy if you think Daryl was the funniest character. Even Stanley was way funnier than Daryl. Daryl got more screentime than he deserved, and his character was giving a very rewarding story arc. You are reaching

I like that Oscar played a gay character as a regular person, not as a gay stereotype.
The character wasn't originally gay, and that's joked about when Oscar says he was still sleeping with women when the documentary started filming.
That makes me glad, I wonder if he knew the character was gay from the beginning he would be played differently

what the hell happened to Craig Robinson, nobody gave him any face time with the interviewer. He was totally ignored.
@Kwum aix how so?
@Kwum aix ahh here we go... if you’re going to have a go at the show for being politically incorrect or discriminatory, you may as well point out all the sexist stuff as well, but you’ll find that’s the humour of the show. People like you shouldn’t watch the office
Your victim mentality is showing
I just love them all so so much ❤ They make life so much easier to get through
